Czech and Austrian feature film 1939-1945: propaganda, collaboration, resistance
Kašpar, Lukáš ; Kuklík, Jan (advisor) ; Kvaček, Robert (referee) ; Harna, Josef (referee)
Anglicke resume Throughout my thesis, I have strived to portrait the feature film production and manifestation of collaboration and resistance in the field of Czech and Austrian feature film as comprehensively as possible. I have attempted to answer the question, whether the Nazis misused this mass media. After the occupation, Czech cinematography was being taken over by the Nazis. There are two main trends in movies prevailing at the time. The first one is stressing the national traditions and expecting that this will be favourably received by the public. The second trend represents an obvious escape of a number of movies, especially conversation comedies. If we look at the emphasis on national traditions in terms of the reaction by cinema audiences or through the eyes of the reaction in the press, their importance seems to be extremely significant. The escape and amusement of movies should be viewed in the context of the intentions of the Nazi propaganda. Then we can say that, it was about much more than an escape from the routine drudgery of the protectorate life, it was also about intentional relaxation, which was supposed to facilitate regeneration of energy necessary for a problem-free functioning of the protectorate. Feature film passed by censorship was in this sense an inseparable part of the...

Graphemics in the German documents of Václav IV 1379-1399
Bartůňková, Alena ; Ebelová, Ivana (referee) ; Vodrážková, Lenka (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is twofold. On the one hand I try to determine a system in the use of the graphemes in the documents of Vac1av IV. from the years 1379-1399 and I confront the findings with the use of the graphemes in the Middle Upper German (Mittelhochdeutsch). On the other hand, I compare these results with the use ofthe graphemes in the early Upper German (Frühneuhochdeutsch) as described in the literature, in particular in 1. T. Piirainen, V. Moser, H.Bokova, L.E. Schmitt and V.E. Mourek. The first chapter describes the period of reign of Vac1av IV as weIl as the personality ofthe ruler. The second chapter deals with the court ofVac1av IV. with a particular emphasis on the language situation at the court. Further, Vac1av IV.'s chancellery is characterized in the chapter three as apart of the court and I also shortly describe its history, structure as weIl as the competence of its members. Chapter five is devoted to documents as objects of a study; thus, first I define and c1assify different types of docurnents and second, I indicate the relevant features both in the form of the document and its content. The next chapter describes the status of the early Upper German (Fruhneuhochdeutsch) as it emerges from the literature. The seventh chapter lists the documents of Vac1av IV. between the years 13...

The Danish System of Out-Of Home Care
Otřísalová, Kristina ; Vorlová, Marie (advisor) ; Koláčková, Jana (referee)
This dissertation tries to deal with differences and similarities in Danish and Czech system of out of- home care. It describes the system of out-of-home care in Denmark and compares some particular topics with the system of out-of-home care in Czech Republic. This comparison should serve as an inspiration for the Czech system, which in many ways needs to be improved. It may be a bit surprising, that the share of children, who are brought up in different kinds of out of home care is about the same in Denmark and in Czech Republic. Where these two systems differ is the balance between different types of out-of-home care. The Czech system still deals with a big amount of children in different types of residential care rather than in foster care or adoption. The other big difference is in the matter of how the systems are organised in general. Danish system seems to give bigger emphasis on the personal responsibility and ability to make a right decision about the future of a child or a young person, which is then not needed to be examine by another authority. Strong emphasis is put on the responsible work of each local authority. Danish system is also more systematical than the Czech one in the matter of social work with family of the placed child and systematic work with the child's case in general....

Possibilities of Training and Implementation of People with a Visual Impairments on the Labor Market
JÍCHOVÁ, Simona
This thesis deals with problems of professional preparation and employment of visually handicapped persons. Employment of handicapped persons is a general problem. Visually handicapped persons belong to group with the least prospect on labour market but it is concurrently clear that they want to be employed. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused to definition of visually handicapped persons including specificities of their development. The second chapter deals with teaching the visually handicapped persons in primary-, secondary- and tertiary education, with attention paid also to the choice of profession. Conclusion of the theoretical part deals with employment of visually handicapped persons and namely with employment policy. The practical part describes concepts of and expectations from employing the visually handicapped persons, motivation to work, a valuation list of the respondent visually handicapped persons and a role of parents in the choice of profession. Furthermore, it describes accomplishments necessary for job finding gained by the respondent visually handicapped persons, opinions on possible causes of unemployment of visually handicapped persons and supporting mechanisms of employing such persons, utilized by particular respondents. Research was carried out in a form of dialogue with six visually handicapped respondents with handicaps in the range of amblyopia and sightlessness. One of the main goals of this thesis was to monitor study possibilities for visually handicapped persons. The next goal was to find out what were the problems of visually handicapped persons during their studies, what was perceived as obstacles during studies, during the choice of profession or, appropriately, during pursuance of the profession. A problem may be in wrong choice of the school e.g. due to insufficient self-confidence of the handicapped person and low confidence of the family and teachers. Prejudice of the employers is an important and still persisting problem, as well as the lack of job opportunities for visually handicapped persons. In my opinion, the possibilities for employment of visually handicapped persons do improve but there are persisting barriers mainly in the attitudes of intact people and potential employers. They are frequently affected by insufficient information on the support and possibilities of employing persons with visual handicap. The attitude of the nowaday´s society placing emphasis on quickness and quantity plays its role also. With visually handicapped persons it is necessary to build up their self-confidence already since their childhood. Contemporarily, it would be appropriate to enhance the awareness of potential employers, what could be provided by means of media and seminars. Cooperation of intact pupils with visually handicapped ones could be carried out at schools. It would be necessary to perceive the handicap as something common already since the childhood. However, to change thinking of the society may still last long.
