The Home Environment
Matoušková, Šárka ; Fulková, Marie (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaroslav (advisor)
Analýza pojmu " prostředí domova", "domov" a "prostředí" a jejich sémantické významy. Zkoumání osobních vztahů člověka k prostředí domova. Funkce symbolizace a procesy identifikace v prostředí.

Are the development aid and democracy inseparable?
Vokolek, Aleš ; Plechanovová, Běla (advisor) ; Kučerová, Irah (referee)
Master Thesis called Are the development aid and democracy inseparable? aims to find out what impact does development aid have on democracy. The development aid is divided into four groups. Hypotheses are tested on data of 48 of countries from Sub-Saharan Africa in the period starting from the end of the Cold War and ending in 2009. In order to achieve its aim, the study uses regression model of ordinary least squares in combination with moving averages, when in position of dependent variable stands either value of democracy according to Polity IV Project or value of democracy evaluated by Freedom House. In first two chapters is presented theoretical concept of this study, on which this study is based on. In third chapter dependent and independent variables are analyzed including their descriptive characteristics. In the fourth and the fifth chapter the basic model is introduced, estimated results are analyzed and in following sixth chapter the model and results are tested. The estimated results of both models confirm the hypothesis about positive influence of human capital development aid on democracy. On the contrary, both models disprove the hypothesis about positive relationship of institutional aid with democracy and they both find negative influence of institutional development aid on...

External sources of axioms in lean theorem proving
Brunetto, Robert ; Suda, Martin (advisor) ; Pudlák, Petr (referee)
Automated theorem provers can be modified in order to use external sources of axioms. This was recently searched in combination with saturation based theorem prover SPASS-XDB. It sends queries to external sources and receives answers during its saturation loop. Lean theorem provers are based on semantic tableau calculus. That's why they need to use different approach. An idea that proving is separated from communication is beeing introduced by this work. Prover generetes so called schematic proof which is later checked if it can be filled with external data so the proof can be completed. This work demonstates this idea on modified version of LeanCoP.

To name the potential strengths or weaknesses in leadership, to encourage the existing method or potential changes in it. This research may also help during formation of a new team, in case of creating a new home with special arrangements for this target group.

Factors interacting with bacterial RNA polymerase
Sudzinová, Petra ; Krásný, Libor (advisor) ; Fišer, Radovan (referee)
The bacterial cell must be able to rapidly change its gene expression to survive unstable external conditions. Transcription is the key level that affects gene expression. The pivotal enzyme of transcription is RNA polymerase (RNAP). Activity of RNAP is tightly regulated by transcription factors (TFs). These factors affect RNAP in different ways. This work presents an overview of various proteins and others factors, description of their effects on transcription and also mechanisms of their actions. TFs could be divided according to various criteria. In this work, TFs are divided according to how they interact with RNAP: TFs interacting only with RNAP; TFs binding simultaneously DNA and RNAP; TFs interacting with RNA and RNAP. This work presents a comprehensive overview of various TFs that are involved in the bacterial cell's reprogramming of gene expression that is required to withstand the changes in the environment.

The Role of the Medical Assessment Service in the Social Security System
Čevela, Rostislav ; Zikmundová, Květuše (advisor) ; Seifert, Bohumil (referee) ; Vurm, Vladimir (referee)
Medical Assessment Service significantly influences expenses of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA). Medical Assessment Service (MAS) provides assessment of state of health for benefits where a claim is derived from unfavourable health conditions (or together with other unfavourable conditions such as a social situation, financial situation, insurance participation etc.) Impact of MAS activity is of a volume of 100 miliards of CZK annually from the state budget. Passed reorganization of MAS did not solve the biggest problem and it is permanent lack of superior workers. This problem brings poor quality and efficiency of its activity. Changes in organization of MAS which will lead to solving of these problems will also lead to better quality of assessments which will be positively reflected not only in strenghtening of assurance of assessed people but also in expenses for benefits. The survey of doctors opinion about Assessment Service has shown that it is necessary to improve perception of Assessment Service . It is perceived by medical public as not very prestigious, with a lot of paperwork and with no connection with clinical medicine. Most of asked doctors said that they would not be able to work without Assessment Service cooperation. The most important incentive that would enhance interest...

Synthesis and cytostatic activity of 3,5-disubstituted pentenolides analogous to gelastatin
Pavlík, Jan ; Pour, Milan (advisor) ; Starý, Ivo (referee) ; Dvořák, Dalimil (referee)
Within the framework of this thesis, a large series of 5-(acyloxymethyl)-3-aryl-5,6- dihydro-2H-pyran-2-ones was prepared and their cytostatic activity investigated. The key steps in the preparation of the compounds were alkylation of esters of substituted phenylacetic acids with 2-iodomethyl-5,5-dimethyl-1,3-dioxane, followed by cyclization to furnish a saturated lactone into which a double bond was introduced in the next step. Some of the target compounds displayed interesting cytostatic activity (IC50 < 10 µmol/L) against a panel of standard cell lines including both leukemic cells and those derived from solid tumours. The activity against colorectal carcinoma HT29 cell line, which is otherwise resistant against the standard combination of cytostatic agents used in the treatment of these tumours is especially remarkable. In the next part, the development of the synthesis of the 5-alkylidene analogues of these compounds, which are also analogous to bioactive natural products, such as the gelastatins and CR377, is described. Successful strategy is based on the use of 2-iodo allylic alcohols as the starting materials, which are converted into the target 3-substituted-5-alkylidene pentenolides via an array of Pd-catalyzed reactions, including Sonogashira coupling with methyl propiolate,...

Preliminary measures and receiving evidence
Drbohlavová, Šárka ; Winterová, Alena (advisor) ; Frintová, Dita (referee)
This rigorous work deals with institute of preliminary measures and institute of receiving evidence, which has been handled at second Catch of first Part of Rules of Civil Procedure. The preliminary measures have provisory function in the time prior to a decision is passed or more precisely prior to force of law of this decision or even on a very start of legal process, i.e. in the time when there does not exist any decision about the law which will be ensured by a court in the future. The preliminary measures can be ordered by the court on the proposal in the time when there arose a need to provisionally treat the interrelations between party to an action or in the case if there is a doubt that the execution of a judgment could be threatened. The description of the preliminary measures is exemplarily described in the provision of Section 76. Rules of Civil Procedure among others govern special types of the preliminary measures: the provision of Section 76a preliminary measure in the case of minors and the provision of Section 76b preliminary measure in the case of domestic abuse. The preliminary measures are also governed in special laws such as Act on Insolvency and Its Resolution No. 182/2006 Coll., Family Act No. 94/1963 Coll., Asylum Act No. 325/1999 Coll. The procedure in which the court decides about...
