The results of the research assert mostly in historical anthropology, history of everyday life and research of mentalities. But it is not possible to ignore criminological access with many other problems. These problems are for examle - ways of investigations, detentions of suspected people, judicial proceedings and sentences. One of the fundamental resources is book of conscience. It is necessary to consider a distortion of information in concrete delits (esp. in cases, when any witness could be also suspected as accomplice). Kolář, Jan ; Zlatohlávek, Martin (advisor) ; Horyna, Mojmír (referee)
ENGLISH ANNOTATION This paper discusses Prague altars that were crafted in the years of early-baroque between 1620 and 1680. It contains a brief outline of the historical period during which - in relation to counter-reformation and recatholization after the defeat of the Estate uprising in 1620 - baroque style had been fully accepted in Czech lands. The church, supported by the state, had made it its goal to restore catholicism in Czech lands and for this purpose it also used the means of arts. The baroque church combined all kinds of arts in its complexity. The main attention of its builders was paid to altar constructions, most often wooden ones. This paper then analyzes the history and typology of the altar and its components - the altar table, the retabulum (altar leg) and the tabernacle (sanctuary). The overall development of early-baroque altars dated from late-renaissaince mannerism to the beginning of top-baroque is discussed, together with the metamorphosis of the altars' architectural concepts, the artistic perfection of the altars and of their decorative elements. Both preserved and some non-preserved altar constructions located in Prague (in the area of Hradčany, Lesser Town, Old Town and New Town) are listed and described in this paper. Furthermore, an account is given of the artists...

Filipec, Marek ; Mudra, Aleš (advisor) ; Ottová, Michaela (referee)
ANGLICKÁ ANOTACE Edificial history of the church of Our Lady before Teyn in Prague The Church of Our Lady is the most important ecclesiastical building on the right bank of the river Vltava. The nowadays building preceded a lesser edifice from the turn of the 13th and 14th century. Propulsion to a new building was solution of dispute about patronal privilege between parishioners and Vysehrad's canonry. The construction started perhaps round 1350. The aisles and choirs were finished twenty years later. The builder was influenced by czech architecture of the first half of 14th century ( Golden Crown, Sedlec, Prague - st. Thomas, st. James) as well as by contemporaneous Silesian architecture (parish churches Svidnice, Vratislav). During the construction squarers from the Arras mason's lodge, who worked on St. Vitus Cathedral, took place here (shaping of nave arcade) and from late 70's also stonemasons of the Parler lodge. They created the sedilia in the presbyteries of both aisles, window's traceries of nave, especialy of western Windows, remiscent to Parler's tracery in st. Zikmund's chapel of Prague cathedral. Their production is also undoubtedly the northern entrance portal, originated during the last twenty years of the 14th century. During the Hussite Wars works were intermited for almost 40 years. History and Constructional Development of the St. Pancras Church in Prague
Katrák, Ondřej ; Kubín, Petr (advisor) ; Pátková, Hana (referee)
History and building development of the St. Pancras church in Prague The revealation of the bottom of the St. Pancras Romanesque rotunda during the development of the Prague underground Line C meant completely a new chapter for this building. This "small-town church" became the main theme for many scholars and explorers, because its creation is absolutely related to the rise of Vyšehrad, an important center of the Czech state at the turn of the 11th and 12th century, and the St. Pancras patronage undoubtly refers to the meaning of Vyšehrad being built as Czech Rome. Even thought Czech princes moved back to the Prague Castle and the St. Pancras changed just to a suburbian church, it became a part of some important events in Czech history, whether we mean the battle in 1420 or the siege of Swedish armies during 1648. St. Pancras, rotunda, church, Vysehrad, Czech Rome.

The research was based mainly on 20 town registers of the period and on the extant scripts which enabled me to set up both the communication process and particular agents. Thus we were offered the insight into the townhall, its offices, circumstances of the origin of missivs, we observed individual characters and institutions involved in the negotiation procedures. We came across the issue of messenger service mediating the delivery and last but not least we were concerned about receiving correspondence, its interpretation at the time and the content of discussed matters. Another issue we dealt with was the terminology ie. definition of written communication, diplomacy terminology, especially register issue defined as supplemental office book in publishers'offices containing the office scripts. The written communication of the perion represents just one component of wide range of ties occuring in the corporate society. The most significant role was represented by the city council the...
