Hajdíková, Taťána ; Černá, Anna (advisor) ; Lieskovská, Vanda (referee) ; Lazar, Jaromír (referee)
Dissertation thesis deals with the managerial needs in the area of financial health. Managers need a tool to reveal the impending financial failure or to assess the financial quality of the organization. They link their decisions to performance, ability to pay, employee productivity, financial resources and financial risk. In the theoretical part of the thesis it is necessary to explain the non-profit sector and its connection with the hospital environment. It is also necessary to introduce models used both in the Czech Republic and abroad, which share common elements. The basic aim of this thesis is to propose a financial performance prediction index for decision support of the hospital management, the owners of hospitals and insurance companies. To achieve the basic goal, three sub-goals must be accomplished. The first goal is to divide the hospitals into healthy and unhealthy by using the multi-criteria methods. The second goal is, based on an expert approach with the support of statistical methods, the selection of indicators appropriate for the hospital environment and the third goal is to find a suitable method for the determination of weighted representation of individual indicators in the proposed index and to assemble the final form of the new financial index for the hospital environment.

Pedagogic Model of Teen Challenge
Láník, David ; Dočkal, Jan (advisor) ; Klimešová, Anna (referee)
This work is trying to describe a pedagogic model of Teen Challenge organization. The program is focused on helping drug addicted people. In the process after a man becomes addicted his personality could become completely disintegrated. A journey back from this condition of bond is really difficult but not impossible. Teen Challenge declares the necessity of renewing a spiritual aspect of personality and furthermore to keep focused on personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That is a way how to bring change which should be visible in other aspects of life as well. Further more education and pedagogic help is needed, too. Education and pedagogy should form the individual to reach positive results. The target of this work is to find our to what extend Teen Challenge pedagogic model influences an individual in the process of learning skills necessary to be able to live new lifestyle without drugs, alcohol and destruction and other unwanted elements. Since I consider "living the good values" a key factor in the therapy of the drug addicted, the work is focused on estimating a list of values necessary after finishing the program, its manifestations and ways the program contributed to it. The Church of St. John of Nepomuk at Štěchovice
Fatková, Markéta ; Novotná, Eva (advisor) ; Bydžovská, Lenka (referee)
The Church of St. John of Nepomuk in Štěchovice There are not many Art Nouveau constructions in Bohemia. One of them is the Church of St. John of Nepomuk in Štěchovice designed by the architect Kamil Hilbert. Although the construction is not built in the pure Art Nouveau style, its individual parts and elements are taken over for example from the Roman or Renaissance style, it remains probably the most popular architectural example of this style. In view of this fact it is interesting that neither the church nor the builder were devoted sufficient attention in the past. There are not many sources and literature available. Experts devoted their attention to Hilbert only in connection with the preservation of monuments the modernisation of which was his merit at the beginning. Hilbert's own creation remained on the edge of the interest, be it creation dating back to the end of the 19th century or the first decades of the 20th century. The aim of my work is to inform the readers about the personality of the architect Kamil Hilbert and to depict his most important construction, the Church of St. John of Nepomuk in Štěchovice. I focused not only on the brief statement of data, but I tried to incorporate the life and creation of Hilbert also into broader connections, to mention the politic as well as...

Nonverbal factors in psychotherapy of adolescents
Vraná, Klára ; Morávková Krejčová, Lenka (referee) ; Šturma, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis deals with one of the areas of children's psychology - psychotherapy of adolescents. The study mainly focuses on different non-verbal moments, or factors, occurring at psychotherapeutic sessions held with adolescent patients, and it outlines the possibilities of application of these factors in the psychotherapeutic process. The objective of the thesis is to show that sometimes seemingly insignificant non-verbal moments may play an important role, especially in therapeutic work with adolescents, and therefore therapists should pay increased attention to these symptoms. This also applies in case that a patient was originally indicated a psychotherapy, the main medical treatment medium of which is predominately an interview (for example a family therapy). The thesis is based on one of the assumptions that in general non-verbal methods, in this case at least some of their elements, may work as facilitators of an interview, for example if the patient fails to express certain personal experience of his or her, his/her feeling or emotion with the help of words, or when a therapist fails to enter into verbal communication with the patient.

Nippon re-discovered. The image of Japan in central European modernism 1920-1940
Čapková, Helena ; Švácha, Rostislav (referee) ; Lahoda, Vojtěch (advisor)
Japanese influence on Europe was particularly strong in the period of japonism, which is widely pinned down and limited to the second half of 19th century. However, this Japanese vogue transformed into a sophisticated knowledge and admiration for Japanese art, philosophy and everyday life by the interwar period. This transformation happened within a framework of international modernity and is a subject of this text. What is the Japanese element in modernism that alludes its latent japaneseness? I argue that it is a symptom of Japanese aesthetics that deeply rooted into common consciousness by the time between the wars. The geographic focus of this paper is on Central Europe and Japan. Japanese art scene has been an active participant of international art debates since the beginning of 20th century. This dynamic situation in Japan played a crucial role in seeking the history and unique face of modernism. Many prominent artists took part in this process including the ones for Central Europe. Therefore, few case studies will be included, such as on Johannes Itten, Bedřich Feuerstein and Bruno Taut.

Theatre as a fine art medium
Täubelová, Kristýna ; Kalfus, Pavel (advisor) ; Preková, Jana (referee) ; Matásek, Petr (referee)
In my thesis I am analyzing scenographic creation from the point of view of the fine artist, who is working with tools typical for the theater, which means that they are using theater as a fine art medium. This also touches upon a specific trend in contemporary theater practice, in which there is an intermingling of fine art and theatrical elements

Landscape as a tool for narrative in modernist films
Kristóf, György ; Valak, Radim (advisor) ; Vojnár, Ivan (referee)
My main interest is a landscape as a dominating element of space, of a film set; therefore I chose it as a topic for this work. The introduction deals with picture in narration in general. As it is known ? the picture is a basic pillar of film language, however in many cases its potentials has not been exploited in all its entity. But historical development of narrative structures has been in a close interaction with construction of picture, which, for its part, creates the film space, so with a time the film space got a chance to reveal itself and fulfill its possibilities. The next part of the text offers a brief overview about development of importance of landscape in film history, however I intentionally stopped and focused my attention on modernism period, which I find the bravest and richest of attempts towards development of film as an art. This period has also made a contribution in creation of landscape in film as aware and meaningful tool of expression. One of the most unique spaces not only in modernism but also throughout whole film history is Tarkovsky?s Zona. Therefore the main focus will be on this particular space. The first part of the following text will give an introduction to Tarkovsky?s specific approach of film picture and its link with orthodox understanding of icon. The second part will contain analysis and attempt to understand the Zona.
