The ways of the contemporary Tunisian poetry
Lišková, Iva ; Oliverius, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kučera, Petr (referee) ; Petrová, Jana (referee)
The purpose of this doctoral thesis is to outline the main trends in the contemporary Tunisian poetry, present it in its variety and colour, and testify to its parity with larger Arabic national literatures. Making use of different theoretical frameworks offered by the modern literary science, the major part of the thesis is given to interpretation of selected poetry collections written by different authors over the period from the early 1990s to the present day. The interpretation is divided into five "currents" reflecting five distinctive sources of inspiration, which, nevertheless, often merge and overlap. The first chapter of the analytical part is interested in collections responding in one way or another to the political situation in Tunisia or other Arabic countries. The second chapter focuses on collections that link the classical Sufi poetry heritage with modern poetic trends. The third chapter is given to surrealism. Covered by the fourth chapter, another "current" of the contemporary Tunisian poetry is fed by fairy tales, legends and myths of both Arabic and other origin. The final analytical chapter follows the current of lyrical love poetry.

The Art of Living Word
Harčaríková, Marica ; MARUŠÁK, Radek (advisor) ; BERGMAN, Aleš (referee)
In the first part of my thesis which consists of two parts - theoretical and empirical - I concentrate upon the ways of "word reviving" through human voice, speech and their artistic ways of expression, namely declamation, recitation, artistic recitation - where beside structuring of recitation I focus on collective recitation. Interpretation is a part of meaningful work with the word. I deal with its meaning from the point-of-view of its relationship with literary work. I deal with the concept of poetry and theatre, for closer specification of theatre form of poetry theatre and for fuller understanding of its content. I focus on the issue of poetry theatre, as an independent theatre form which has developed in the Central European region, especially in the non-professional theatre, in certain theoretical anchorages and historical connections. I mention a nationwide competition of artistic word and poetry theatres - Hviezdoslavov Kubin - especially with the children poetry theatre, within the category of children reciting groups. And last but not least, in the second part of my thesis I concentrate on the creative process with a children group, on the possibility of working with lyrical text.

This thesis deals with the the theme of love and the aesthetic ideal of perfect lover in tales with poems (monogatari) from the middle of the Heian period (7941185). Firstly it pursues the historical and social conditions that influenced genesis of these works. Special attention is given to the marriage institution and the nature of love in this period. Afterwards the author included an analysis of the theme of love poetry in the first imperial anthology of Japanese poetry (Kokinwakash) and its love discourse. The thesis deals also with the basic aesthetic ideals of the Heain period and tries to investigate their authentic meaning in the context of classical Japanese literature. However, the main concern of this thesis is the analysis of Ise monogatari (Tales of Ise). It deals with the problems of the genesis, date, authorship and the meaning of its title, as well as the construction of the work. Then comes the study of Ariwara no Narihira, the historical figure, who is probably the protagonist of this literary text, and the author also deals with the problems concerning the interpretation of this character in the context of the middle age commentaries of Ise monogatari. In the last chapter of the thesis the author shows the way the theme of love and the aesthetic ideal of perfect lover developed in other...
