Correction and Compensation in Temperature Measurement
Zábranský, Jaroslav ; Janečka, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
The temperature belongs to the one of the basic values for a commercial measuring processes. The exact measuring of the temperature is the essential for a multitude manufacturing procedures and their regulations. This study is mainly focused to determine what influences can take the negative effect to exact temperature measurement. Content: List of of possible mistakes and their compensation wit the special focus on a notorious and frequent dynamic errors. Characteristic of those dynamic properties are important to analyze all the possibilities to correct different measuring systems. In this study we also present the simple model to deal with some error corrections

Turbo codes and their applications
Ploštica, Stanislav ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This Diploma thesis aims to explain the data coding using turbo codes. These codes belong to the group of error correction codes. We can reach the high efficiency using these codes. The first part describes process of encoding and decoding. There are describes parts of encoder and decoder. Principle of encoding and decoding demonstrate a simple example. The end of this part contains description of two most frequently used decoding algorithms (SOVA and MAP). The second part contains description of computer program that was made for using as teaching aid. This program was created in Matlab GUI. This program enables to browse error correction process step by step. This program contains graphic interface with many options and display results. In the third part is described program created in Matlab Simulink that was implemented into the TMS320C6713 kit and there is description of measuring procedure. For verification of efficiency of turbo codes was measured any parameters. Some of these parameters are: number of decoding iterations, generating polynoms and using of puncturing. The last part contains measured value and result evaluation.

Tool for finite seismic source parameters determination - Stopping phases method, ver. 2
Kolář, Petr
A special (interactive) Tool for particular processing of seismograms from West Bohemian seismic region has been already presented (TCP2011); the purpose of the study is to determine the parameter of (simplified) seismic source model. In the present contribution we inform about code current stage, processed data and obtained results (seismic swarms from 2000 and 2008 years were investigated), as well as about particular improvements and development, namely incorporation of (i) more precise onset time determination (with use of signal over-resampling), correction of effect of (ii) anisotropy and (iii) attenuation; the graphical appearance of the Tool has been also tuned.

Statistical correction of daily precipitation sums from climate models
Hnilica, Jan ; Chára, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Jan, Jan (referee)
Climate change prediction and evaluation of its impact currently represent one of the key challenges for the science community. Regional climate models (RCM) have been recently established as a main source of the data for climate change assessment studies. Nevertheless, RCM outputs suffer from systematic errors caused primarily by their low spatial resolution and cannot be used directly without any form of bias correction. The bias correction is an actual topic in climatology and several correction methods were developed, ranging from the simple additive method to more advanced approaches (e.g. quantile mapping). However, despite this progress, the bias correction methods suffer from several difficulties, which bring another source of uncertainty into the climate change impact assessment studies. This thesis is focused on two problematic points connected with the bias correction of daily precipitation data. The first one is a non-stationarity between calibration and application periods. New correction methods are developed, showing an increased resistance to non-stationary conditions. The second problem is related to the correction of a dependence (i.e. correlation and covariance) structure of multivariate precipitation data. A new procedure is proposed, correcting the complete dependence structure of the model data. All newly introduced methods are validated using measured and RCM-simulated data; the validation demonstrates their suitable applicability.

Mikroprocesor controlled equalizing repeater.
Požár, Marek ; Fedra, Zbyněk (referee) ; Kovář, Jan (advisor)
The correction amplifier is included in many audio applications. Its use is mainly in the regulation of volume, height, depth, balance settings, channels, and extended versions as well as more band equalizer. There are the simpler versions such as home movies, personal computers, car. However, there are even more demanding applications, where the correction amplifier extended to listening to different bands. Already mentioned band equalizer, which is now part of almost every recording studio. Applies even when the sound of concerts. This project deals with its links with the microprocessor and then control the PC via USB. Utility sends the PC via USB management factors in the microprocessor data, which is further processed and under control of the data correction circuit amplifiers using the IIC bus.

Econometric analysis of inflation in the Czech Republic
Demeš, Jiří ; Hušek, Roman (advisor) ; Pánková, Václava (referee)
The degree work is focused on analysis of inflation with help of suitable econometric models. Inflation with it's forms and possibilities of measuring is described at the beginning of the paper. There is mentioned an importance of monitoring and analysing inflation in view of Czech national bank. Consequently there are described characteristics of time series, which are important from viewpoint of construction of econometric models. Next part of this paper is focused on characterization of econometrics models. At first there is vector autoregression model, in this connection there is discussed the essence of Granger causality and impulse reaction. There are also noticed both error correction model and vector error correction model. The empirical part of degree work involves the use of these models on selected macroeconomic time series of the Czech republic. The objective is to analyze the relationship between inflation and other individual macroeconomic quantities. There is established the optimal vector autoregressive model and the results of Granger causality and impulse reaction are interpretated. Both error correction model and vector error correction model examining cointegration are also applied.
