The main part of the thesis focuses on presenting the Elements of the Philosophy of Right in view of the theme of thesis. Influence of USA on peace negotiation in 1917 and 1918 and attitude to question of indipendent Czechoslovakia
Doubková, Monika ; Stellner, František (advisor) ; Kovář, Martin (referee)
I want to start my Bachelor thesis by studying of peace attempts running before USA entry in the war; by reviewing in facts USA neutrality and by inspecting USA part in these attempts and why peace negotiations came to grief. I also want to analyze the influence of President Woodrow Wilson on foreign policy within the context of peace attempts and then to outline political and economic reasons for the entry in World War I. Further I want to attend to diplomatic negotiations between United States and Austria-Hungary. I will answer the question why the attempts took place at secret negotiations of separate peace with Austria-Hungary. I will also analyze so-called 14 points of President Wilson and I will sum up its meaning for politic and economic development in the Europe. Then I will state the reasons for the turn in USA politics in the spring 1918 when the effort to conclude separate peace with Austria-Hungary were left and American support for Succession State creation was shown. My thesis is based on non-published and published sources (Archiv Ministerstva zahraničních věcí - Archive of State Department) and Czech and foreign special literature.

The Media Influence on Transformation of Democracy
Půlpánová, Barbora ; Pehe, Jiří (advisor) ; Slačálek, Ondřej (referee)
Mass media has always played the key role in democratic process. They are not only the indicator of its right functioning, but also the iniciator. From historical point of view is obvious, that technological progress and changes in the way of informing people were related to the political area. But with the increasing role of media, they changed their position from pure mediators of informations to the main actors of social and political life. The ‚old' media, such as newspapers, radio and television, are therefore partly responsible for commercialization of the public sphere and also for its depolitization. With contribution of the globalization effect on today's world, which causes besides other things the weakening of the nation state, there are only a little of the key democratic aspects left. Some find the solution in the ‚new' media represented by the Internet and social media, which are more interactive so they could get the citizens back to the game. And right in the increase of civic engagement see the theorists the potencial for creating a new democratic order based on high-level participation. European great powers and the partition of Poland
Sautin, Viktor ; Kovář, Martin (referee) ; Skřivan, Aleš (advisor)
I research in this study the question of the three partitions of Poland in the years 1772, 1793 and 1795, which created one of the main problems of international politics in the second half of the 18th century. This problem had its importance for the whole Central and Eastern Europe. The backwardness of Poland and its growing anarchy in this country initiated the struggle of three Great Powers - Russia, Austria and Prussia. Following this process, Poland, the second largest kingdom in Europe, was erradicated from the political map and for more than a century its independence was destroyed, which caused serious problems in the future. By destruction of Poland the three Great Powers liquidated a buffer zone between themselves and gained common borders. I concentrated myself on the analysis of the internal conditions in Poland and on the international circumstances, which influenced the development on the way to the partition. I tried in my paper to answer some basic questions concerning the internal development in Poland, importance of the partiton for participating Great Powers and for the European power-ballance.

Financing of election campaigns in the Czech Republic: European Parliament elections 2014
Malinová, Soňa ; Vymětal, Petr (advisor) ; Husák, Jan (referee)
Bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of financing of election campaigns in the Czech Republic for the European Parliament elections 2014. It mainly deals with the evaluation of transparency of campaigns of individual political parties/movements and with analysis of their incomes and expenditures. In the work I seek an answer to two main questions. The first one concerns transparent accounts and their potential influence on improvement of transparent environment in the election campaign of the elections to the European Parliament. The second one addresses expenses of political parties/movements during the election campaign, specifically for what items political parties and movements spend the most. In the Czech Republic currently does not exist a statutory obligation for setting up of transparent accounts for political parties/movements. Transparency is unfortunately not guaranteed even for the political entities that voluntarily establish a transparent account. These parties/movements may also have other opaque accounts that are not publicly traceable and verifiable.
