Drafts dealing with Changes of the Electoral System into the Chamber of Deputies: Analysis and Alternative Approach: Study 1.191
Pecháček, Štěpán ; Němec, Jan
The paper starts from the analysis of the elections 2006 (Chamber of Deputies). The results gave birth the idea of electoral system change to strengthen the proportionality and to establish the bonus for the winning party. The idea has been included into the coalition agreement and into the program of government policy. The paper analyses effects of various modifications of the electoral system. The results of the survey proves that D´Hondt divider fulfills the best way the optimal rank of proportionality only in the case it is applied in the single electoral constituency (Czech Republic as a whole). This system also includes a certain natural bonus for the winner. The adoption of an artificial bonus for winner in other models of electoral system causes always smaller rank of proportionality.

Based on these analyses the thesis tries to articulate general findings which could be fruitful in discussion about Czech election-polls and their methodology in general. Unemployment in Terms of Choice of Political Parties
Hromádko, Martin ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Durdisová, Jaroslava (referee)
The thesis deals with the relationship between unemployment and the electoral results of the political parties in the Czech Republic. For this purpose data on election results for individual political parties and available economic and demographic data from the electoral districts of the Czech Republic from 1996 -- 2010 are analyzed. Data are analyzed by using a linear regression model, which is estimated using ordinary least squares method. The results confirm the apparent relationship between electoral results and the unemployment rate in the districts, which significantly increases the electoral support of the left-wing parties and hurts right-wing. The thesis also found some support for the theory of economic voting and there is evidence that an increase in unemployment in the short term of one year before the election reduces support for incumbent parties. This dependence, however, is clearly demonstrated only in the case of left-wing government and not as obvious in the case of right-wing government.

Nobleman and Hunting
HOLCEPL, Radek
The study of noble hunting phenomenon confirms that game keeping did not represent only entertainment for aristocracy but performed much more functions in the process of constituting the collective mentality of aristocracy. Taking the width and depth of motivation into account it turned out completely inadequate to consider hunting a mere sort of sport activities of aristocrats. This diploma paper presents the analysis of intricate relationships between the noble world-view and the world of hunting. It offers the outline of origins and forms of the aristocratic thinking about hunting, which contributed to the preservation of the nobleness tradition under Franz Joseph I. It is done with the emphasis put on the Czech aristocrats, especially the Schwarzenberg family. From different points of view the respective chapters examine different elements and layers of the ideology underlying the noble game-keeping that made up a significant constituent of the "other reality", into which the aristocracy confined themselves in the era of citizenship.

The constituent negation and ways to express it in contemporary Czech
Veselovská, Kateřina ; Lehečková, Eva (referee) ; Medová, Lucie (advisor)
The thesis is focused on constituent negation and ways of its expressing in contemporary Czech, or more precisely in Czech National Corpus (SYN2005) and Prague Dependency Treebank (version 2.0). In most of the Czech linguistic handbooks, constituent negation was treated as such a negation that does not operate on predicate. The author offers a new definition of constituent negation in Czech, based on data research and study of relevant literature concerning syntactic negation. Further, the author proposes a formalization of the structure of constituent negation within the framework of construction grammar and she also explores the possibility to express the findings in PDT.
