Psychological impact of fostering on biological children of foster parents.
TÁBOROVÁ, Pavla
Foster care is currently being discussed a great deal, in particular in connection with the planned shutdown of infant care centres. Currently it is preferred to place a child in foster care rather than in institutional care. However, attention should not only be paid to the children placed in foster families. The families that receive the children should also be given a lot of attention. Within a family, one cannot only consider the adults who will become foster parents for the placed children, as a family can also have existing children. This bachelor´s thesis focuses on children, on the biological children of foster parents, as their attitude to foster care can significantly influence the situation in a newly created family. The theoretical part of the bachelor´s thesis consists of three parts. The first tackles the family as a primary socialising agent, the second deals with the relations between siblings, and the third focuses on substitute family care. The aim of the practical part of this thesis was to find out what psychosocial impact the parents´ fostering can have on their biological children. A partial goal was to find the fostering positives and negatives for the foster parents´ biological children. A quantitative approach was selected to obtain information. Data collection was executed with the help of semi-structured interviews with selected respondents. The selected respondents were the biological children of foster parents. The thesis results provide information about the impact parents´ fostering can have on their biological children and about what these children consider as the positives and negatives for them stemming from fostering. Subsequently, the results of the interviews are compared with each other and with professional information sources. Within the framework of the survey, it was found that the psychosocial impact of fostering revealed itself mainly in the following areas: the respondents learned to live in a group, help their parents, and be more independent; they had to learn to communicate with children who had also had bad experiences; and they had to cope with the reactions of those around them for whom their family was something unusual, something that attacted more more attention. One of the respondents felt the impact of foster care in that some people respected him more becaue of it. For one of the female respondents, the arrival of the child in foster care was stimulation to stop relying on her parents and on the fact that they were one family and she felt the need to be herself more. The mentioned positives included family experience that could come in handy in the future; helping parents; an active and diverse family life; people´s acknowledgement; independence; improved mental state of the mother; parents becoming closer to each other; and moving to a village. The mentioned negatives included family size with regard to transportation and admissions; people´s stares; losing their parents´ time; the suffering of the parents when they were accused by those around them that the unsuitable behaviour of the received children was caused only by their upbringing; and the fact that the children-in-care received various gifts from foundations, but the biological ones did not. Only in one case was foster care assessed primarily negatively, with the cause probably being the fact that the parents were not interested in the opinion of the biological child, that they knew the child did not agree to the reception of a child-in-care, but they did it regardless. In other families, the opinion of the biological children was important; they had the possibility of participating in the decision of whether or not a child would be received in foster care. This could be the main cause of the overall positive assessment of foster care.

Do women with children have lower wage rate than childless women?
Lukášová, Nikola ; Brožová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Čermáková, Klára (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate if women with children in the Czech Republic have a lower wage rate than childless women. The data from WageIndicator Foundation was processed by using the the least squares method. The conclusion is that motherhood has a negative impact on salaries. I also found that the depreciation of human capital influences only women with two or more children. It can be caused by the lenght of maternity leave. The main finding is that the wage penalty for motherhood actually exists. And the society and politicians should give the motherhood penalty more attention in the future.

Analysis and design of intranet structure
Novák, Miroslav ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
Nowadays, Intranet is an inseparable part of every company, notwithstanding of their size or field of activity. Both, in my work and personal life, I often come across different intranets that usually do not get a positive response. But they usually have the same source of the problem, which is based on their wrong structure. This is why is chose this topic for my thesis. The goal of my thesis is to perform an analysis of an existing intranet of a particular company and subsequently create a design of the intranet new structure using the card-sorting method. This thesis primarily represents a generalized method of how to proceed during such realization and which areas to look into. Theoretical part of this thesis covers the topics of information architecture and also the term intranet itself, where the most frequent issues I came across in the intranets are pointed out. Practical part covers the analysis itself, where I focus on the structure of the existing intranet, categorization of its content, connections with other systems, customization, permission management, surveys of contentment, and intranet usage. The analysis is performed manually by scanning through the existing intranet of the company, since other methods or approaches could not be applied due to technical limitations or insufficient permis-sions. Based on the outputs of the analysis, web categorizations and the card-sorting method, a design of a structure of the new intranet has been proposed. The design itself is a demonstration of the method how to approach the new intranet design.

Products with Protected Designations of the European Union and Their Position in Regional Tourism
Licková, Kamila ; Kalábová, Markéta (advisor) ; Abrhám, Josef (referee)
The master thesis deals with products with protected designations of the European Union. The main objective of the master thesis is to evaluate the importance of the chosen product with protected designation of the EU in regional tourism and analyse the perception of the product by a producer and by tourists. The sub-objective is the description of the European system of food labelling. The thesis is divided into five main chapters. The first part explains basic concepts which are related to the thesis. The second chapter introduces the best known food quality labels. Greater attention is devoted to the description of the food protection system of the EU. The third chapter deals with the characteristics of the chosen region Beskydy-Wallachia. The second part of this chapter is focused on the chosen protected product Štramberské uši. The forth chapter includes a structured interview with the chosen producer of Štramberské uši and a survey research, which was conducted in two phases. The last chapter contains the evaluation of the implemented survey. The main finding of this thesis is the fact that a relatively high percentage of respondents know the product Štramberské uši. An interesting finding is the fact that only a small portion of them know that the product Štramberské uši is the holder of the protected designation of the European Union. The chosen producer of Štramberské uši sees the main benefit of the label in greater publicity. Among problems he ranks the enforceability of the label and lack of general promotion of Štramberské uši.

Řízení IS/ICT se zaměřením na sourcing služeb informačního systému
Šebesta, Michal ; Voříšek, Jiří (advisor) ; Havlíček, Zdeněk (referee) ; Příklenk, Oldřich (referee) ; Král, Jaroslav (referee)
Research on outsourcing has been around for several decades, while recent evolution in the information systems discipline towards ICT service commoditization significantly changes the context of decision-making. Services that are available on-demand via the Internet allow organizations implementing functions they demand in a fraction of time. This trend represents a chance for organizations seeking to use advanced ICT services without a need of major investments. Problem is the current lack of guidelines and tools for managing ICT services and their outsourcing. Given the trends on the ICT service market, it is expected that much of the IT management in the future will encompass the ICT services and utilize service-level structures. Methods currently available are either too broad or encompass only small part of the whole problem. Ad-hoc or unsound decisions in this area might cause major complications in terms of quality, usability, integration, and consequently influence total cost of organizational IT. Organizations need to either revise existing models or propose and implement completely new models to manage their IS/ICT. This thesis deals with the management of IS/ICT with focus on the ICT services outsourcing. It discusses available sourcing models in the literature and links them to the various interconnected areas. Based on these areas, it presents an integrated view on IT outsourcing strategies. Most importantly the thesis proposes an original concept for decision-making about outsourcing of ICT services named the SOURCER framework. This approach utilizes the presented outsourcing strategies, and introduces a complex methodology and decision-making criteria that will assist organizations with selection of ICT services in order to maintain and manage a most suitable ICT service portfolio. The decision-making is based on four essential viewpoints: function, costs, time, and quality. These viewpoints are discussed, individually analyzed, and serve as a basis for further research. The whole framework is developed and validated according to Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM). Individual components are evaluated using a survey among a group of selected IT managers. Proof of concept is then established by a case study on framework use in a real organization. This case study covers strategy specification, business--IT alignment, specifying service architecture and its interconnections, outsourcing, and management of the ICT service portfolio.

Use of social services by beneficiaries of care allowance.
SEDLÁČKOVÁ, Lucie
The Bachelor's Thesis deals with the issue of the carer's allowance recipients benefiting from social services, which is important and topical in my opinion. Applying the quantitative method of research, I performed a survey based on questionnaires. I divided the respondents into 3 groups to allow questions asked in the questionnaires to cover all types of clients among whom I carried out the research. The group one included persons benefiting from residential care social services; the group two included persons provided with outpatient care or field care social services and the group three included persons who are recipients of the carer's allowance where care is provided by, for example, their family members. The goal of the Bachelor's Thesis was to find out how the recipients dispose of the carer's allowance and whether they are satisfied therewith. Two more partial goals finally resulted from the research in relation in particular to persons belonging to group one. One of the partial goals is whether the respondents are satisfied with the services provided and the other partial goal is whether, according to the respondents, the quality of the provided services corresponds with the financial means that they pay to the services providers. The hypothesis H1: The allowance is used for social services. This hypothesis could be examined among the respondents belonging to groups two and three only. In this case, the hypothesis was not affirmed. In the group three, no respondent utilizes social services and in the group two only 27 respondents out of 80, who were interviewed, benefit from such services. The hypothesis H2: The recipients are satisfied with the carer's allowance amount. This hypothesis was affirmed in a total number of 80 respondents. 48 persons are satisfied with the carer's allowance amount and the remaining 32 respondents said that they were not satisfied. I think that this research may be beneficial for social services providers, as it will find out how the respondents assess the effectiveness of the provided services or whether they would welcome a different alternative available in the area of social services.

Differences between men and women in the Czech labour market
Stroukal, Dominik ; Kadeřábková, Božena (advisor) ; Pavelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Němec, Otakar (referee)
This thesis consists of five articles that apply current world research on labor economics at the Czech Republic and confirms the significant differences between men and women in this market. It shows that gender has a significant influence on the preference on the labor market and, consequently, on employment and health. First, the thesis shows that preferences are relevant determinant of career and then we study the difference in preference of salary for men and women. Subsequently it shows that gender plays a significant role in explaining the relationship between homeownership, and unemployment, as well as unemployment and health. The first chapter was able to demonstrate that the preference for a career has a positive influence on the choice of career. The influence of higher education on prioritizing career proved to be positive and significant. Probability of a career choice is reduced by the presence of children, however, is not dependent on their number, which is contrary to the theory of preferences. The second chapter shows that Czech women prefer more non-monetary rewards than men. It has also been shown that people with university education are same in the preferences of non-monetary rewards regardless of the gender of the respondents, however, compared to the world's research, the Czech higher education increases this preference. It turned out that women prefer risk less than men. The third chapter demonstrates that although the housing market undermines labor mobility and employment in the Czech Republic at the regional level, therefore, that in regions with a higher rate of home ownership is higher unemployment, at the individual level, the owners of housing are unemployed are less likely. The estimates are significantly different for men and women. Men living in owner-occupied housing have a higher likelihood of employment than women. At regional level, however, this thesis shows that the high rate of home ownership increases unemployment for both men and women, in the long run only to women. The fourth chapter showed that men transition to homeownership reduces the likelihood of unemployment next year. For women, this relationship has proved to be insignificant. In addition, as insignificant showed the opposite relationship, the transition from unemployment to the newly acquired home ownership. The last chapter shows that the change in the working status to unemployment will increase in the future probability of worse health. Influence in less than two years, however, proved to be significant. An important conclusion is that men have a significantly stronger relationship between health and unemployment than women.

The thesis describes the initial state of the computer network Basic Schools and Kindergartens Ohradní (ZŠMŠ Ohradní) in Prague 4 and then its reconstruction, which I largely contributed. ZŠMŠ Ohradní consists of four pavilions and from one building on the other side of the street. The aim of this study is to assess the initial state of the network and point out the shortcomings that we discovered. We found deficiencies in the operation stress tests, measurements and data cabling overall analysis. Original networks connectivity was 100Mb/s. Together with a colleague, we are network administrators. Furthermore, I am going to introduce a new form of network, which has identified deficiencies improved, by using on newer technologies. I will describe its structure, address allocation, active and passive components, and operated services. New network is capable of 1Gb/s, and its spine is going to be 10Gb/s soon. Benefits of this reconstruction is faster, more stable and more modern network that will facilitate the work of employees of ZŠMŠ Ohradní. To these improvements, I have mainly contributed by measurements. I participated in the design and implementation of new form of data network. I collaborated with fellow Poc to the configuration of active elements and network services in reconstructed network.

Case Study - Divorce and its conditions
Kopecká, Veronika ; Spirit, Michal (advisor) ; Jansa, Viktor (referee)
This bachelor thesis centers around divorce issues and its circumstances, which is illustratively demostrated on a real life scenario. For meeting my aims, that is to introduce and characterise divorce as a phenomenon with huge amount of negative social-economical and social-psychological results including causes and mechanisms of divorced family and breakup of marriage, I used a literature that examines this area, followed by comparison of acquired data with a case study. In this thesis, an assumption of negative results of a divorce has been comfirmed, but so has the work of a state to effectively separate a married couple. The benefit of this thesis lies in an opportunity to get acquinted with requisities of a divorced marriage and should the reader be in similar situation when a divorce is imminent or planned for, he can take proper steps by familiarizing with circumstances and results of a divorce.
