The situation in selected areas of public life in the year 2012

In December 2012 Public Opinion Research Centre carried out a survey about the situation in selected areas of public life in the year 2012. The Czech citizens evaluated how the situation developed in these areas and negative evaluation prevailed in most of them, for example, in unemployment, social security, corruption, public finances, economic crime, standard of living, healthcare, education and interpersonal relationships. The best evaluated area was the bid of goods and services.

The value of life from macroenomic point of view in United States of America, Czech republic and Russia between years 2007-2014

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the research of the value of life calculation in the Czech republic, United states of America and Russia in 2007-2014.The main purpose is to analyze and compare values of life and major factors influencing them. The hypothesis is that value of life differs in selected countries due to distinctions of sections influencing them. The theoretical part is devoted to sections directly or indirectly influencing values of life, and then analyzing and comparing them together within the selected countries. The selected sections are education, health care, labor market, inequality and living standards. The practical thesis approach is to calculate the values of life for the individual states. The values of life are calculated for so called, representative individual, who is 40-years old citizen of selected country. In the period, in which is the value of life calculated, the retirement age and life expectancy are also considered in formula. Calculated values are examined and the economic and political measures are offered to the states, which can turn into significant increases in the value of life in future.

Woman education after surgery for malignant of female geniatale

The theme of my bachelor´s thesis is Education of women after surgery for malignant disease of the genitals. In the thesis I write about care and selfcare of women after gynecological surgery. I find out in whitch part of selfcare are women educated. The thesis is divided into chapters to clarify all technical terms. The first chapter is about anatomy of female genitals and examinig methods in gynecology. In the next chapter I write about classification of malignant disease of female genitals, I describe their specifics, manifestations, examinig methods and possible treatment. Some of gynecological malignant disease are operable, so I describe surgical approaches too. Further are described oncology centers, thein equipment and how many are there in the Czech republic. The next chapter is about a role of midwife in care of women after surgery for malignant disease of the genitals, and of course a psychological approach with oncology patients, becouse oncology disease is a very dificult life situation. And it is midwife´s mission to help these women. All of midwifes should know this psychological approach. The last chapter is about nursing, nursing process in care of oncological patients and about education. I describe an education about care of surgical wound and protect of infection, diet and emptying, pain and its relief, movement and sexual life after a surgery. The objectiv of my thesis was to find out chat women knouw about selfcare, if they understand the informations. I used qualitative method structured interview, in the research part of thesis. The interview I did with 8 patients of gynekology department in a Hospital České Budějovice a.s. the structured interview have 13 questions. The patients are different ages, have different level of education and different surgery approaches. I set 3 research questions: Want the women to know more information about their health condition? Are the informations of midwifes undestandable or very professional? Observe the women recommendations of midwifes? Eight interviews show that the rate of the submitted informations is sufficient, women know how to take care of yourself. And they know, if they need anything can ask a midwife. On the second did not answer all women equally. Two of the women said, they did not understand all of the midwifes said. They wanted less technical terms. Six of the women understood all. The third question answered all women equally. They observed the recommendations of midwifes. The research shows women are satisfied with nursing care after surgery. The level of informations is enough to care of yourself. They are satisfied with midwifes´care on the gynaecological department. All af women are educated about specifics of their type of surgery, care of surgery wound, hygiene, protect of infection, diet, emptying, sexual life after release from hospital. I think this tehsis can be used as an educational material for midwifes or students of midwife.

Orienteering club support system

Nowadays, an increasing number of processes and life situations is getting IT support. Often the use of the Internet aims to accelerate and simplify existing processes. In addition, there is a big area of social networking that can be complementary. This thesis deals with the possibilities of using web technologies to support the running of a club and its subsequent development. Indeed, the club has the potential to simplify and automate many processes which previously have been carried out by someone in person. It has also a potential to use social networks for its publicity and development. The aim is to first determine what areas of the clubs operations are the most appropriate to be supported by any information system. Another objective is to find out how other clubs already integrate any information systems. The final objective is to design and create a specific application. The first two objectives are addressed through a survey among the leaders of the biggest Czech clubs. Indeed in these clubs, the use of automation and simplification of existing processes could have a great potential. The proposal for a specific application is then based on the previous survey and the field experience of the author. While serving many existing processes in running the club, the proposed application adds many elements of social networking.

Analysis and design of intranet structure

Nowadays, Intranet is an inseparable part of every company, notwithstanding of their size or field of activity. Both, in my work and personal life, I often come across different intranets that usually do not get a positive response. But they usually have the same source of the problem, which is based on their wrong structure. This is why is chose this topic for my thesis. The goal of my thesis is to perform an analysis of an existing intranet of a particular company and subsequently create a design of the intranet new structure using the card-sorting method. This thesis primarily represents a generalized method of how to proceed during such realization and which areas to look into. Theoretical part of this thesis covers the topics of information architecture and also the term intranet itself, where the most frequent issues I came across in the intranets are pointed out. Practical part covers the analysis itself, where I focus on the structure of the existing intranet, categorization of its content, connections with other systems, customization, permission management, surveys of contentment, and intranet usage. The analysis is performed manually by scanning through the existing intranet of the company, since other methods or approaches could not be applied due to technical limitations or insufficient permis-sions. Based on the outputs of the analysis, web categorizations and the card-sorting method, a design of a structure of the new intranet has been proposed. The design itself is a demonstration of the method how to approach the new intranet design.

The Bankruptcy of the FEREX-ŽSO spol. s r.o.

This thesis is focused on the solution of the corporate bankruptcy. Its goal is not only to determine the causes of the bankruptcy of FEREX ŽSO spol. s r.o. after successful completion of the reorganization, but also to assess the suitability of the chosen method of solution in terms of the Insolvency Act. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the life cycle of an enterprise, important parts of the insolvency law and financial analysis methods. In order to meet the goals there are used financial analysis, analysis of the insolvency proceedings and comparison with results of researches in the field of insolvency.

The Religious Sisters' charitable and social service after 1948

This bachelor's thesis focuses on the destiny of female orders and congregations, whose traditional work in educational and medical institutions was forbidden by Action Ř in 1950. Communist regime tried to force nuns to take off their habits and work in civil occupations, by means of hard work in factories and on farms. Female orders, whose main role was to educate children and youth, and contemplative orders had to find new areas for their activities. Despite the difficult situation, nuns tried to carry out social and charitable work in such areas, where communist regime allowed them to do so. Many of such affected female orders and congregations found their fulfilment as care workers in health service, social and charitatible area, particularly by taking care of the sick, the old and mentally and physically disabled people. The theoretical part focuses on a description of the relation between church and state after 1948, the status of nuns after the communist takeover in February 1948 and district church secretary's and region church secretary's tasks in relation to nuns. The thesis describes communist work camps for nuns in more detail, there were strict rules and routine and very poor conditions, far from dignified way of life. The summary shows individual communist work camps with factories and workshops, where nuns had to work. The reseach part of the bachelor's thesis describes nuns' social and charitable work after 1948 and their motivation that helped them overcome difficulties, resulting from communist regime. I used the method of qualitative research and oral history method. I have made four profiles of nuns, on the basis of their life stories. These profiles monitor their lives with respect to the topics from the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis and everything is supported with suitable quotations. I try to monitor both common and different experience of individual nuns and consider how questions of great history reflected on their life stories. The conclusion of the bachelor's thesis cosiders nuns' motivation for their devoted service to their neighbours, their attitudes, opinions and experience.

Possible applications of Asian medicinal methods on the spa tourism and wellness market in the Czech Republic.

This thesis deals with the possible application Asian curative methods on the market of spa tourism and wellness in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into five chapters, theoretical and practical. The aim of this work is to define Indian culture in the area of treatment and relaxation in the context of historical development and measure of use in the domestic tourism. Partial aims of this thesis are analysis of utilization Indian therapeutical technique and facilities dedicate these procedures in the Czech Republic. The introductory chapter is devoted to definitions tourism and health tourism. The second chapter is focused on spa tourism and the third chapter is devoted to wellness and quality of life. The fourth chapter is oriented on India, ayurveda and typical methods of usage ayurvedic massage. In the last chapter is description of situation in the Czech Republic, centres concentrated on ayurveda are mentioned and there is also questionnaire construction and in conclusion there are some proposed attractive products.

Occupational Stress

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention. Výběr a implementace open source nástroje pro řízení portfolia projektů

Methods and ways of implementation of changes and innovations in companies through project management are in today's society very well established. There exists methodologies, techniques and tools for the management of individual projects. However in a role of project manager, I very often faced the fact that companies are performing the project portfolio management in very intuitive way. This in itself leads to failed and prematurely terminated projects, initiation of the wrong projects or realisation of correct projects, but at the wrong time. Very often I have also recognized, that there is lack of awareness of fact, that there are also Open Source applications that can help with the organization's portfolio. This thesis deals with the definition of requirements, search and selection of proper OSS application and subsequent implementation. In the first part of this thesis I prepare a theoretical framework about PPM, and on that basis then identify and verify a set of requirements for selection of right OSS PPM application. The next section of thesis describes searching for suitable applications from a variety of sources, assessment against the requirements and the final selection. In the last part the implementation project is drafted, which aims to serve other colleagues in project management as one of the possible implementation paths. The outputs are then continuously confronted with experts in matter of projects and project management in the field of IT in order to maximize symbiosis between theory and real life experiences. Virtually every project management methodology defines the collection of already-proven techniques, best practices or lessons learned from the previous similar implementations. The main contribution of this thesis I see in fact that it contains not only the design of the project implementation, but also describes a logical path, what leads to the result. Therefore this thesis could be used as a base or discussed best practice, when a project of implementation of PPM application in place.
