Percussion in the 21. century
Andrlová, Klára ; Mikolášek, Daniel (advisor) ; Havlík, Jaromír (referee) ; Kopelent, Marek (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I would like to concentrate on several compositions dedicated to drum set-ups. This musical area do not have proper audience and are rather less common by this time in The Czech Republic, but I think that pieces written for drum set-ups may have huge audience and be performed in huge auditoriums as well as pieces written for any other ?common? instrument. For supporting my claims I chose two composers ? american composer David Lang and a dutch one - Michel Van der Aa. In my thesis I will try to analyze several pieces by this authors and also to point out some particular problems which can occur during the rehearsing. For there are no czech materials concerning this topic, I will draw mainly from my own experiences with those pieces and also from experiences of my colleagues ? students and professors from music schools.

Interaction between nurses and volunteers at hospital
LHOTSKÁ, Martina
Volunteering has not started to develop in the Czech Republic until 1989. It has reached also hospitals where volunteers come to see hospitalized patients to cheer them up and to assist at the daily routine. The main role of medical staff is to meet all patients´ needs {--} biological, emotional, social and spiritual ones. It is volunteers who help a lot in fulfilling this duty. The thesis is focused on the cooperation between staff nurses and volunteers in hospital. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the history of volunteering, all the steps of the procedures leading to competence of treating patients. In the practical part the quantitative research is used. The first objective was to examine attitudes of staff nurses towards volunteers, i. e.if staff nurses consider volunteers´assistance to be of great benefit to patients. The second objective was to learn how volunteers assess staff nurses´ attitudes to their activities in hospital. To gather data questionnaires for staff nurses as well as volunteers were made up. The research was conducted in January and February 2008 in six nursing units in four hospitals in the regions of South Bohemia and Vysocina. According to the results of the research staff nurses largely appreciate volunteers´ assistance. Despite of that fact there were several averse responses on the part of staff nurses that may be the result of lack of information available. According to the feeling of volunteers themselves their concern in nursing is highly appreciated by most staff nurses. Of course, there is a lot to improve to achieve general satisfaction in this area. The research also includes an interview with a contact person between the two groups involved in the care for patients. The contact person´s view of the cooperation between staff nurses and volunteers is favourable. But there are still some difficulties in introducing the volunteer program into hospitals. The contact person is competent to give advice how to prevent possible misunderstandings between the medical staff and volunteers and mainly how not to discourage devoted volunteers from their service. The results of my research were requested by hospitals in Pelhrimov and Jihlava. They may be also provided to any health care facility interested in introducing the program called Volunteers in hospital into practice. This may help them to get valuable information from health care facilities experienced in volunteering.

Procházka, David ; Svobodová, Ivana (advisor) ; Schön, Kateřina (referee)
Since the third and possibly the last grant period for the Czech Republic in the framework of drawing the European Funds is underway, it is assumed that businesses successfully and efficiently draw funds with allocated resources for the Czech Republic. Agencies should also help to the effective implementation, however, their activities do not reflect the market and clients requirements properly. To confirm that, the Czech Republic was in previous years, one of the worst states in terms of efficiency of drawing on funds of the EU structural funds, which was caused by an improperly formed grant system by management authorities, as well as misconduct on the part of applicants and potential beneficiaries and agencies with their erroneous philosophies. Author task was to analyse the causes of drawing funds inefficiency with a detailed focus on Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovation and Entreprise and Innovation for Competitiveness used mainly for businesses. Diploma thesis not only analyses the current grant situation in which entrepreneurs can submit their project applications but also proposes possible solutions how to help entrepreneurs in drawing on funds.

Pekníková, Marcela ; Neusarová, Jana (referee) ; Reichel, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis talks about motivational program in organization. However, at the beginning I took an opportunity to summarize a history of organizational management and a history of the human resources management in organizations to be able to briefly introduce the development of individual approaches in each of the named areas as well as to point out a dramatic shift in terms of viewing people in organizations. It brings once again a confirmation of people being a critical success factor for the organizations. Therefore they should be viewed as a capital which requires further care and development. If we can admit this, then the next theme to discuss in this paper is the work motivation theme. In this respect I offer a summary of selected distinguished work motivation theories. Showing all kinds of potential motivators should lead to an understanding that the work motivation goes far beyond the financial stimulations or otherwise material incentives, that some motivational programs do not neccessarilly cause additional costs, yet can be very effective. It is critical to understand what motivates people and be able to bring individual solutions to them, treat them as individuals with individual needs. This paper offers few practical directions how to approach a preparation and creation of motivational...

Software Testing in Agile Methodologies
Blažková, Tereza ; Doležel, Michal (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
Agile methodologies become more popular. Companies increasingly look to involve at least some agile elements to their development processes that help to improve their "traditional" process and if properly applied, can provide faster delivery and better final product. This bachelor's study deals with software testing particularly in the context of agile methodologies. As all agile methodologies built on the same foundation called Manifesto for Agile Software Development there are initially defined agile principles described in this Manifesto. The next part is dedicated to the agile testing in particular the role of agile tester and various testing techniques that are used in agile projects. Finally, the study analyses the main differences between agile and traditional (rigorous) methodologies. The practical part deals with the selection of the appropriate software development methodology using a system METES. It is extended to a significant criteria covering the entire testing process, which could influence the choice of methodology development. The aim of this study is to show agile testing and activities with which agile testers deal in their projects. Another aim is to compare the agile methodologies with traditional methodologies. This work may be used as a guide for future agile testers who would like more familiar with agile principles and future content of their work.

Sino-Russian energy cooperation. Possibilities, reality, perspectives.
Horňák, Jakub ; Voráček, Emil (advisor) ; Lehmannová, Zuzana (referee)
Energy has become one of the symbols of geopolitics of the 21st century as it represents one of the geopolitical instruments such as nuclear weapons, big armies and strong economy. Owing to its increasing status in international system and possible aspirations to superpower status, the attention has been in recent years focused on the People's Republic of China. Nevertheless, PRC's energy self-insufficiency and burgeoning energy consumption have been considered country's sore points. On the other hand, the Russian Federation had to deal with the decline of its power, however, its influence in international system is still considerable owing to its enormous natural resources. By employing the methodology of political economy, this thesis aims to analyze Sino-Russian energy cooperation as well as to outline the perspectives of its development. The hypothesis tested in the thesis is that Sino-Russian energy cooperation is likely to develop well, however, there are some factors that could impede its development.

This is connected with the extent of their cultivation of fruits and vegetables. It also appeared that this fact is strongly related to the age and to the extent of busyness of the garden plot users. The analysis reflects these findings and besides the description of the gardeners as one social group it also refers deeply to each of the gardener groups. Šelmátová, Daniela ; De Castro, Tereza (advisor) ; Vošta, Milan (referee)
Middle class is important for economic development and growth of a country. Nowadays middle class in asian countries like China, Vietnam or India is significantly growing. Middle class in China has started to develop after economic reforms, which were launched in 1980s. People belonging to middle class in China are concentrated in urban area. Originally it started to develop in the coastal part of the country. There is a trend to move also to the inner part of the country. The biggest potential of the middle class is boosting domestic consumption. On the other hand there are certain problems, which might lead to middle income trap. The main problems are low productivity, high disparity, pressures on environment or aging population. The government is making a lot of measures to solve this problém. Nevertheless these problems are long term and they must focus on them in the future too.

Memoirs of the empress Catherine II. and Personal correspondence of Catherine the Great and prince Grigory Potemkin in Czech translations
Žídková, Ivana ; Oganesjanová, Danuše (referee) ; Rubáš, Stanislav (advisor)
The objective of this thesis is to compare the books II and II ... with their respective Czech translations. Unfortunately, the second publication is translated from a French original, and therefore we cannot analyze it. Empress Catherine II reigned between 1762 and 1796 and definitely belongs among significant rulers of the Russian empire. The introduction sketches out Catherine's character. We learn that she was quite well-read for her times, she had noble ideas and she was not in a hurry to realize them. She authored many tracts, theater plays, articles and her own memoirs. Those were meant to present her own persona, to justify her actions, and at the same time they were supposed to remain a permanent memory of the empress. Despite Catherine's stylistic ambitions, her writing does not reach the same artistic qualities as that of other writers. Her focus is on the content rather than on the form. That is also one of the characteristics of memoirs that belong to a documentary-artistic literature. Memoirs are likely to contain scholarly themes and that requires special preparation by the translator. The translator should not omit nor add anything and should provide explanation for difficult parts. We were interested in how this translator, Věra Amelová, approached the old-fashioned and challenging text...
