Primary prevention of selected risk behavior of elementary school in the district of Strakonice

This thesis deals with the topic of Primary prevention of student's risk behavior at the chosen primary schools in the district of Strakonice. The main goal of this thesis is to find out if the students are educated enough about the risk behavior and it's prevention, and to evaluate prevention activities that the schools implement within the risk behavior. To fulfil the main and partial goals two research methods are used - questionnaire designed for students and interview with school prevention methodologist. The theoretical part of this thesis deals with the charasteristics of risk behavior and detailed description of chosen types of risk behavior. Moreover it deals with primary prevention, it's characteristics and describes prevention programs that school can use. This part also points out the prevention base of schools, thus institutions cooperating with school and documents that the schools support within the prevention of risk behavior. In the practical part, information gained from the research are analyzed and evaluated and this serves to verify the set goals of the thesis. Based on the research that was done, recommendations for improving the school prevention are suggested. Psychopathological characteristics of MMORPG players and the occurrence of addictive behavior: a correlation study

In clinical practice, sufficient attention is paid to the substance dependencies in many respects. Despite being similar to these dependencies, the issue of "activities, behavior, processes" is often left aside. This work deals with online computer games, mostly with the World of Warcraft (WoW), because there are players who may have a problem not only in relation to addictive behavior. The aim of the research was to describe the psychopathological characteristics of MMORPG players and describe the connection between their occurrence and the rate of reported addictive behavior. Participants were MMORPG active players recruited by self-selection based on addressing through online discussion forums, facebook pages and e-mail snowball. The minimum range of subjects was set at 100 players. Tool for gathering data was online questionnaire. The results were determined using descriptive- analytical and mathematical statistics with the help of SPSS software. The final group consists of 243 respondents, of which 216 are men (89%) and 27 women (11%). The age range of the respondents is between 10-56 years, the average age is 22 years. 185 respondents (76%) considered WoW as being their first choice game. Of 243 respondents 23 (it is about 10%) have shown addictive behavior (including 22 men and 1 woman)....
The Impact of Addiction and Addictive Behavior of Adults on Children and Adolescents

This dissertation called "Influence of adult addictions and addictive behavior on children and adolescents" is divided into two parts: theoretical one and a practical one. In the theoretical part, there will be defined the addiction and the addictive behavior, after they will be put into the International Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems. Then we will analyse concrete psychoactive substances that causes the addiction, types of addictive behavior, factors that encourage genesis of addiction and addictive behavior, influence of addictions and addictive behavior on children and adolescents. The last chapter of theoretical part occupies with possibilities of therapy of addiction and addictive behavior. The practical part proceeds from anonymous questionnaire survey that took place at an elementary school and at a high school. In the end there is a discussion about influence of adult addictions and addictive behavior on children and adolescents.
Personality traits of individuals addicted to psychoactive substances, alcohol and pathological gamblers

anglicky This thesis deals with one of the most important issues of our time. Trying to look for personality structure of individuals dependent on alcohol, psychoactive substances and pathological gamblers. Describes differences in personality structure between the user and the differences between men and women. It is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to the present the accessible knowledge in the field of personality-dependent individuals. The empirical part of the work deals with a research carried out at the pavilions of addictions in a psychiatric hospital Prague Bohnice. In the empirical part of the research hypotheses and set goals that are subsequently evaluated. This thesis provides insight into the personality of addicted individuals and their own research conclusions are largely consistent with findings from the literature.
