The impact of the Covid 19 pandemic on teaching techniques and strategies

The impact of the Covid 19 epidemic on instructional methods and practices is examined in the diploma thesis. The thesis seeks to ascertain Covid 19's effect on modifications to learning methods and strategies. The objective is to identify the changes that will take place. Identifying obstacles and figuring out whether teachers are interested in changing their teaching methods. Theoretical material includes searches of relevant literature and other sources. Primarily findings of the Czech School Inspection; judgments and suggestions from the Ministry of Education and Sports are also included. The results of the questionnaire survey are the main topic of the practical section. The quantitative study was conducted using a questionnaire among instructors. (specifically, 101 respondents). The output is recommendations on how to incorporate changes into teaching, such as through subsidies, as well as recommendations on how to employ various teaching apps that do not require financial subsidies. The role of the teacher assistant in the process of inclusive education in primary and secondary schools

This diploma thesis consists of the role of teaching assistant in an inclusive education in elementary and middle school. Theorethical part is devided into four parts and explains theorethical points. It discusses the position of the teaching assistant, the assistant's role in the education of pupils with and without special educational needs, the cooperation of the teaching assistant with other teachers and parents and last but not least about the pupils with special educational needs and their education. Empirical part is focused on the role of the teaching assistant in the process of an inclusive education in an selected elementary and middle school, in which it contains a qualitative study, which results in a situational study of the school. Semi- structured interviews were used in the research as well as observation and analysis of documents. The goal of this research is to analyse the work of teaching assistants at the selected school. The results of this research bring information about how the teaching assistant profession is perceived and used at this specific school. The diploma thesis can be used as an example of a good practice on how to use the teaching assistant in an inclusive education.

Cooperation Between a Beginning Teacher in the First Year of Primary School and a Teaching Assistant

The first chapter of the theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the pupil at the beginning of school attendance. Then it is devoted to the characteristics of the educators, the teacher and teaching assistant, and their necessary mutual cooperation. It describes their competences and personal prerequisites for this profession. The novice teacher and the mentoring associated with him/her are not omitted. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part, which is based on a qualitative research investigation in the form of a case study in which participant observation and semi-structured interviews were conducted. It sets out to describe the collaboration between a teaching assistant and a beginning first year teacher in a particular primary school. Representative Problems Faced by Beginning Teachers of Russian and Czech

The theoretical part focuses on the aspects of the teaching profession and teacher's competencies, followed by a description of beginning teachers of the Czech language and Russian as a second foreign language. This thesis also summarises the most common problems faced by these teachers. In the practical part, these problems are compared by a semi-structured interview with beginning teachers. In these days, beginning teachers of Czech and Russian are faced with problems related to the integration of arrived Ukrainian pupils in the context of the war in Ukraine. Most respondents point to the same gaps in the university preparation, namely the problematic form of internships, teaching of professional subjects, didactics, pedagogy and psychology. As for the introduction to the position, the most common form of support is the introducing teacher, who was assigned to most of the respondents, but cooperation was often formal or otherwise dysfunctional. Beginning teachers of Czech and Russian have the same issues with the textbook series, that they must use, and with the pupil evaluation. Working with School Curriculum and Teaching Geography in Secondary Schools (Lower Secondary Education)

The year 2007 marked the transition to a two-level system of educational documents for Czech education, which many described as a revolution. To this day, however, it is evident that for many schools and teachers this change took place only on paper, which also negatively affects the teaching of geography. This work provides an insight into the topics of working with school curriculum and teaching geography from the point of view of lower secondary education geography teachers. The theoretical part is devoted to the history and current system of Czech educational documents. The theory of geography teaching is also outlined. In the practical part, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 21 geography teachers, which made it possible to deepen the understanding of teaching geography and working with school curriculum. Due to the small number of interviewed teachers, the results cannot be considered representative, despite this, the work confirmed the formality of school curricula to a certain level. In many cases, the work of teachers and schools with school curriculum remains very shallow. The character of geography teaching contains significant differences among the teachers, the Czech educational system is highly differentiated. The research also pointed out the weak positions of human geography and fieldwork in the geography education at lower secondary education. Communication Between Teaching Assisants and Teachers at a Lower-Secondary School

The thesis is devoted to communication between teaching assistants and teachers at lowersecondary schools in the Czech Republic. High-quality and honest communication between the assistant and the teacher is one of the key prerequisites for introducing the principles of inclusion into practice. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part consists of chapters where basic concepts are defined and the framework of teacher-teaching assistant cooperation is outlined. Next, a qualitative research is presented (five interviews with teaching assistants analysed using IPA).

How the teacher perceives his work as a leisure teacher.

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of how a teacher perceives their job as a leisure-time teacher. The main point of the whole thesis is to search for an answer to the following research question: "How teachers who, apart from teaching, lead after-school clubs perceive their work as leisure-time teachers?" The goal of the thesis will be to obtain subjective statements from specific teachers in relation to the research question. The theoretical part characterizes basic terms connected to key philosophical and pedagogical terms from the field of pedagogics. The empirical part is realized by means of qualitative research using in-depth.

Teacher's cooperation and teacher assistant in educational process of pupils with special educational needs

The topic of the bachelor thesis is focused on the support measures of the teaching assistant with a profile on the cooperation between the teacher and the teaching assistant in the education of pupils with special educational needs. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to elaborate the current knowledge related to the above mentioned topic of the thesis and then to describe effective and functional ways of cooperation from the participants point of view. The thesis is divided into two main parts. A theoretical part and a practical part. In the first part, the theoretical basis of the mentioned issue is elaborated into 3 chapters. The first chapter deals with the profession of teaching assistant and the proposal of changes in relation to the amendment of the Education Act. The second chapter focuses on the system of education of pupils with special educational needs and the last chapter is devoted to the cooperation between the teaching assistant and the teacher. The second part of the thesis includes the questionnaire survey itself, supplemented by qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews. A total of 873 respondents took part in the questionnaire survey. Subsequently, one teaching assistant and one teacher were interviewed. The research investigation shows that functional cooperation occurs primarily when there is mutual communication, when the teacher and assistant understand each other and are tuned to the same wave, when rules are set out and the competences of the participants in the cooperation are determined, and when there is sufficient trust and mutual respect between them. Joint preparation and consultation are important for effective collaboration, and attention should also be paid to the equal and partner relationship. At the heart of it all is the willingness and interest to cooperate. The results of the questionnaire survey were subsequently confirmed in interviews with the teacher and the assistant.

Pedagogická komunikace ve výuce odborného předmětu

The bachelor's thesis is focused on pedagogical communication in teaching a professional subject from the perspective of a high school student. The work contains a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part aims to explain the concept of communication and divide communication into sub-forms. It also describes the relationship between the student and the teacher and specifies the rules of communication between the actors. It points out the level between teacher and student on their forms of communication and how the feedback takes place. The practical part of the work, processes and evaluates the questionnaire survey. Questionnaire, content of 15 closed questions, 1 semi-closed question and 3 open questions, which gave the respondents the opportunity to fully express their own opinion. The respondents were pupils of the 1st and 3rd year of the graduation field of Agribusiness. The questionnaire was filled in and sent back by 40 respondents, ie 100% of the respondents. The main goal of the survey was to find out the opinion on the way of communication of a selected teacher of a professional subject in teaching and outside it.
