Transnational Corporations: the Emplacement and Significance for the World Economy

In the first chapter, the term of transnational corporation has been defined, further the history of their development has been pursued, the classification of them according to different aspects and their strategies as well. In the second chapter, I deal with the emplacement of transnational corporations in the contemporary world economy; foreign direct investments and the largest transnational corporations has been pursued in this part as well. The last chapter is created by case study of transnational corporation called Regus.
Sub-Saharan oil sector: significancy and foreign investment

The thesis focuses on definition of importance of oil resources in sub-Saharan Africa for international trade. The aim of this thesis is to define the most remarkable Sub-Saharian oil sector producers and their relations with transnational oil corporations as the main FDI sources. Emphasis is placed on relationships with Chinese national oil companies and the consequences of these relations.
Particularities of Global FDI Flows between 2007 and 2009

The principal objective of the work is to determine particularities of global FDI flows during the current economic crisis vis-a-vis preceding years. It is divided into four main parts and at first starts with a general description of FDIs. Then a description of behaviour of FDIs during 2000-2006 is provided and several indicators used by UNCTAD in its WIRs are also presented. After that, as soon as the development of FDIs at the beginning of the present century is known, a detailed text revealing the evolution of global FDI flows since the beginning of the crisis till the end of 2009 comes. The last important chapter is dedicated to the detection of particularitites of global FDI flows, whereas findings gained in previous parts have been also used.
Transnational corporations and their social responsibility

Transnational corporations have become economic superpowers and their number is still increasing. Their influence is undeniable. Their activities penetrate into all corners of society, including the social and environmental area. However, their impact is not always perceived in a positive way. This bachelor thesis deals with the regulation of companies whose activities have crossed their homeland borders and its aim is to describe the change in behaviour of transnational corporations and reveal their real reason for being socially responsible.
Trasnational corporations in the world economy and their impact on developing countries

This paper deals with transnational corporations, their origin, consolidation of their position and above all with the impact of their activities on developig countries. The first part is devoted to general description of globalization, its main aspects, especially transnational corporations. The second part introduces developing countries, their historical development, position in the world economy. Also the influence of transnational corporations in these countries is described. The third part describes particular examples of these companies in developing countries- Shell in Nigeria and Union Carbide in Bhopal, India.

The third chapter deals with foreign direct investment. It defines important terms, describes the present situation on the FDI market, examines the determinants of location of FDI and their impacts on engaged economies.
The role of transnational corporations in developing economies

Bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of inflows and outflows of foreign direct investment (FDI) which are the important source of capital used by transnational corporations (TNCs) to spread their activities worldwide. The objective of the thesis is to analyze the structure of FDI flows by territory and sector/industry in the historical context and the context of the financial crisis of 2007 respectively and the largest TNCs from developed and developing countries. The thesis examines the impact of FDI and TNCs in developing region of the Latin America and the Caribbean which are closely connected with advanced region of North America and therefore show common trends in the development of FDI flows.

This bachelor thesis deals with a current very significant word wide tendency, which is called globalization. It searches the prerequisites of its origin, historical emergence and phenomena, which are accompanying it all the time. An attention is also paid to its main attributes. The thesis is further concerned with international flows of trade, capital and with the movement of labour force together with migration. Finally there are introduced some implications caused by globalization.
