Pustka, Martin ; Sýkora, Karel (advisor) ; Vágner, Michal (referee)
Title: Systematic review of the influence of lower limbs and trunk strength on aerobic performance during loaded marching Goals: On the basis of a literature review, find out what is the relationship between the lower limbs and trunk strenght and between the aerobic performance during loaded marching. Alternatively, to determine the effect of the development of strength skills of the lower limbs and trunk on aerobic performance during loaded marching. Method: The presented study is processed in the form of a systematic search with correlation elements. The Web of Science database was selected to search for articles. The search was performed using a search script that had four parts. The last part of the search script generated 44 articles. These articles were then analyzed and studies were selected according to predetermined criteria. From the 44 generated studies, two were selected that met all criteria. Another six selected studies were then sought in an unsystematic way. Thus, a total of eight studies were included in the search. Conclusion: The results of the correlation coefficients between the lower limbs and trunk strenght and between the aerobic performance during load marching indicated in most cases a positive relationship, although the values were not completely significant. The increase...
Use of CrossFit elements to develop the strength and endurance abilities of the general population.
Vácha, Marek ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Vindušková, Jitka (referee)
Title of the thesis: Use of CrossFit elements to develop the strength and endurance abilities of the general population. Objectives of the thesis: Based on literary research and own experience, prepare a design of an interventional movement program with CrossFit elements aimed at affecting the strength and endurance abilities of a group of men from the general population. Methods: The research method of professional literature was used in this thesis, especially collection, sorting and evaluation of relevant information. In proces of searching for information, I drew from professional books, scientific articles, studies or websites dealing with the researched topic. I searched for electronic publications on the following servers: Web of Science, Scholar Google, SportDiscus, PubMed. Results: Based on information from the professional literature, I have come to believe that CrossFit training has the potential to develop both strength and endurance abilities, as well as aerobic fitness or change body composition. The result of the thesis is a theoretical design of a seven-week interventional movement program with CrossFit elements, which is aimed at developing strength and endurance abilities. It is intended for a group of adult males from the general population in the age range of 21-30 years....
Effect of the eight-week intervention training program with the CrossFit system on physical fitness
Crkalová, Monika ; Bunc, Václav (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Title: Effect of the eight-week intervention training program with the CrossFit system on physical fitness Objective: The aim of the thesis is to examine the influence of an individual intervention CrossFit training program on the development of strength and endurance in a semi-professional, systematically training 21 years old athlete. Methods: The thesis has the characteristics of case study. We firstly carried out a research and followed with an intervention. The theoretical part consists of the research, i.e., the information about fitness and physical condition, CrossFit, strength and endurance training, diagnostics, the effects of the training, periodization of the training and regeneration. The practical part consists of the casuistic of the proband, who went through an 8-week training program. In order to determine the importance of the tests, we had to establish their error rate. To do so, we added up the error rate of the method, that is 1%, and the biological error rate, that is 2%. Thus, the final error rate is 3% of the initial value. We can consider the improvement in the test significant if it is greater than 3%. To evaluate, we applied the methods of analysis and comparison of the first week's results with the final week's results. Results: We observed an improvement in both...
Effect of strength training on postural stabilisation
Klein, Juraj ; Lopot, František (advisor) ; Kubový, Petr (referee)
Title: Effect of strength training on postural stabilisation. Objectives: The main objective of the theoretical part of the thesis was to summarize the knowledge concerning postural stabilization, strength training and possibilities of postural stability evaluation. The aim of the practical part was to find out what is the effect of strength training on postural stabilization. Methods: The thesis was measured in the premises of the Laboratory of Biomechanics FTVS UK in Prague and was attended by 10 probands. Participants underwent a four-week training plan to develop general strength abilities. We evaluated the impact of strength training by our provocation test and its 3D kinematic analysis using Qualisys optical system. The measurement consisted of an input part before the intervention and an output part after the intervention. The measured values were analyzed in Qualisys Track Manager and then transferred to Microsoft Excel, where they were evaluated and compared. Results: The results showed a significant difference between input and output measurements of postural stabilization. There was a significant improvement in stabilization after four weeks of training, with a noticeable improvement in stabilization on the lower left limb. Properly selected strength exercise has a positive effect on...
