Data Analysis and Clasification from the Brain Activity Detector
Jileček, Jan ; Černocký, Jan (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This thesis aims to implement methods for recording EEG data obtained with the neural activity sensor OpenBCI Ultracortex IV headset. It also describes neurofeedback, methods of obtaining data from the motor cortex for further analysis and takes a look at the machine learning algorithms best suited for the presented problem. Multiple training and testing datasets are created, as well as a tool for recording the brain activity of a headset-wearing test subject, which is being visually presented with cognitive challenges on the screen in front of him. A neurofeedback demo app has been developed, presented and later used for calibration of new test subjects. Next part is data analysis, which aims to discriminate the left and right hand movement intention signatures in the brain motor cortex. Multiple classification methods are used and their utility reviewed.
Development of Concentration in Pre-School Children by Means of Pedagogical Use of Mandalas
NÁMĚSTKOVÁ, Darina
This thesis deals mandalas and their influence on concentration in preschool-age children. It is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part presents mandalas, their history, colours and meanings. It also deals with the development of children's concentration and curricular documents devoted to children´s concentration. The practical part contains didactic activities done by children in a kindergarten, where we observed children´s concentratio

Influence of cycling focus on the performance gains for cyclists on road and mountain biking
Pomezný, Lukáš ; Svobodová, Irena (advisor) ; Dlouhý, Martin (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the training that is applied in the course of the concentration and how this training for cyclists on mountain and road cycles influences the subsequent comparison of their results, which is done through functional load diagnostics. It also deals with the history and rules of cycling, a description of cycling races and cycling specific sport training. The work is divided into several parts. The first part deals with the development of road and mountain biking, its history, technical parameters of the bicycle, division of racing disciplines and categories in road and mountain cycling. The second part deals with sports training and sports training components specific to cycling, supercompensation, periodization of sports training and concentration. The third part is research, where the research sample, the course of the tests, the measured values and the results are described. Title of Bachelor Thesis: The Use of the Elements of the Basal Stimulation for Children Diagnosed with ADHD in preschool age Name and Surname: Veronika Mojžíšová Department: Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague Supervisor: PhDr. Mgr. Pavlína Šumníková, Ph.D. The year of presentation: 2013 Abstract: The aim of this thesis was to use and verify basal stimulation in preschool children diagnosed with ADHD. I used simple methods of qualitative research - studying the history data, structured interview method, observation. Using the compiled program is able to demonstrate that the elements of basal stimulation can be used in individuals with ADHD. Basal stimulation is beneficial for them. The results show that helps maintain their calm. During the application of basal stimulation was also improved the perception of these children. The basal stimulation also has a positive effect on their ability to concentrate. However, during the application of the program, I failed to demonstrate that it has the effect on the projected extension of the capabilities. The compiled program, which was conducted on a sample of four probands, exceeded my expectations. Keywords: ADHD syndrome, principles of educational management of children with ADHD, basal stimulation, perception, calm,...
