Organic solar cells for photovoltaic conversion of solar energy
Šedina, Martin ; Zmeškal, Oldřich (referee) ; Weiter, Martin (advisor)
This work is focused to study organic materials for solar energy conversion into electricity and characterization of conversion processes. Materials and their blends with semiconducting properties such as photoconductivity were studied. Thin films of organic materials and their blends were prepared by spin-coating method and characterized by optical methods (UV-VIS and photoluminiscence spectroscopy), by current-voltage characteristics, by impedance spectroscopy method, spectral response measurement of photocurrent and method of transient photoconductivity. Structural factors influences the conversion of solar energy into electricity were observed. Based no these results, the materials and their blends useful for photovoltaic applications were determined. The dependence between photoconductivity of thin films and theirs structure was also discussed.
Dye Sensitised Solar Cells
Schovancová, Petra ; Weiter, Martin (referee) ; Dzik, Petr (advisor)
Recent experimental effort is focused to a very promising photovoltaics technology – dye sensitized solar cell. This technology is based on the generation of electrons in a sensibilization dye and their separation on a semiconducting material (TiO2). Bachelor thesis deals with the summary of present knowledge about this technology, the preparation of solar cells from generaly and commercially available components and basic study of their properties.
Tax aspects of selected corporate
Kotlaba, Drahomír ; Vančurová, Alena (advisor) ; Finardi, Savina (referee)
The subject of my bachelor thesis is tax duties of a company operating a photovoltaic power plant in the Czech Republic. Firstly, relevant taxes which the company is obliged to pay are identified and the basic parameters of these taxes are also described. Furthermore, tax risks resulting from changes of tax legislation in 2010 in respect of corporate tax (cancelation of tax holiday, specific rules for tax depreciation) and an introduction of a solar levy are also specified.
Současnost a budoucnost fotovoltaiky v České Republice z pohledu velké energetické společnost
Burianová, Eva ; Jaklová, Martina L. (advisor) ; Kubín, Petr (referee)
Goal of this thesis is to analyse sequence of events that led to current situation on the solar market in Czech Republic. Based on this analysis, current situation and scenarios for the near future from the point of view of large power utility company are described. For this aim, analysis of macro-environment is employed and focuses in detail on legislative and technological factors. Definition of possible scenarios starts with the description of current situation of saturated market. Solar power plants are then presented as reasonable equity investment from the point of view of large power utility company. Assumptions and entry data are described and the investment is evaluated using the net present value evaluation tool. For chosen entry parameters, sensitivity analysis is performed. This thesis then defines the situation when electricity produced from solar irradiation becomes competitive with other conventional sources.
Optical characterization methods in the solar cell research
Remeš, Zdeněk ; Vaněček, Milan ; Poruba, A.
Optical spectroscopy isone of the most important methods used to characterize thin films and solar cells. Here we discusse the Constant Photocurrent Method (CPM) a Fourier Transform Photocurrent Spectroscopy (FTPS), Photothermal Deflection Spectroscopy (PDS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and optical spectroscopy with microscopic resolution.
Effect of silicon nitride layers on the minority carrier diffusion length in c-Si wafers
Toušek, J. ; Toušková, J. ; Poruba, A. ; Bařinka, R. ; Hlídek, P. ; Lorinčík, Jan
The main purpose of this work was the comparison of the silicon nitride prepared by the LP CVD and by the MW PE CVD from silane and ammonia gases with respect to the possibility of passivation c-Si surface layer. The properties of the silicon nitride films were studied by the surface photovoltage (SPV), FTIR and SIMS methods. The average value of the diffusion length of minority carriers in the Si samples with the LP CVD nitride was shorter and dependent on the location in the reactor.
Polymerní nanostruktury pro aplikace v solárních článcích: vztah morfologie a vlastností
Pfleger, Jiří ; Podhájecká, Klára ; Vu, Q. T.
Polymer nanocomposites were studied based on two systems: (i) a soluble derivative of polydiphenylvinylene with a nanocrystalline fraction of n-type low-molecular weight organic material N,N'-di(pent-yl)-perylene-3,4:9,10-bis(dicarboximide), and (ii) polythiophene with titanium dioxide nanoparticles, respectively.
Difúzní bórové pasty pro sítotisk
Jakubka, L. ; Linhart, Jan ; Szendiuch, I.
This paper shows that Boron pastes can make emitter and back surface field (BSF) formation a simple screen print process. It is possible to achieve high quality p+ emitter on n-type silicon wafers. It is shown that bifacial solar cells can easily be fabricated by using n-type silicon wafers and simultaneous diffusion of Boron paste. Diffusion length in excess of 300um is achievable on commercial wafers for solar cell application using screen-printed Boron pastes. These high quality diffusion pastes can reduce manufacturing cost and make it possible to use less than 150 um thick silicon wafers for bifacial solar cell application.
Teplotní stárnutí a životnost pájených spojů solárních článků
Jakubka, L. ; Linhart, Jan ; Szendiuch, I.
This work is about interconnection of the solar cell and the substrate. Ceramic substrate and back side contact solar cells were used. There are 36 solar cells which were contacted on 12 substrates. The Ag paste was used as a conductive layer and lead free solder paste was chosen as a solder. 3 firing profiles in 4-zone furnace were tested. The thermal cycling is the next step. 6 substrates will be tested with 1000 cycles and 6 substrates will be tested with 3000 cycles. The cycle is in the range -40°C to 125°C, ramp 10°C/min, dwell 10 min, period 60 min. This is the common test cycle regime used in military applications testing, hence the wide temperature range of the cycle.
