Unemployment in the Kladno district and its socio-eoconomy impact

Diploma thesis Unemployment in the Kladno district and its socio-economy impact analyses process of unemployment in the Kladno district in the last 30 years. This process is compared to other districts in the Central Bohemian Region. The thesis describes particular socio- economy issues related to unemployment. Other part of thesis includes labour market in the Kladno district and its local largest employers. Employment policy in this area is also part of the research and is represented by labour offices. The first chapter includes general terminology connected to unemployment. Next chapters focus on the local situation of unemployment in the Kladno district. Firstly is described progress of unemployment rate and its calculation changes in the last 30 years in the Czech Republic. The third part specifies employment policy represented by involved institutions. The fourth chapter deals with socio-economy related problems and with main socio-economy problems in Kladno district. The fifth part describes situation of labour market in the Kladno district. The crucial progress related to the economic sector in the Kladno district is mentioned in the last part of the thesis.

Social problems of city Most from perspective of its young population

This Thesis deals with the social problems of city Most and how they are perceived and evaluated by its young population. Under influence of historical events the city has a very specific composition of the population and it has long been faced with many problems that are inherently social, economic, environmental and other. The Thesis presents the view of pupils and students of Most's schools on these problems and it analyzes which problems students consider as urgency, how they evaluate the living conditions in Most and what is their relationship to the city. The Thesis is supported by own SAQ survey conducted on a sample of approximately 600 students from different types of schools that provides answers to most of the research questions. Given that the Romany question intensively rezonates between young denizens of Most, the survey has been extended to gypsies living in one of Most's Romany localities - well-known settlement Chanov. This enabled the comparison of respondents' opinions (mostly from the rank of the majority) with views of young gypsies. The Phenomenon of Compressed Modernity and Social Problems in Korea

The aim of this thesis is to introduce the compressed modernity phenomenon in Korea that took place in the second half of the 20th century and in addition to the rapid development brought also a lot of social problems. This thesis explains the process of compressed modernity and describes its progress by decades. The main aim of this thesis is to introduce and analyze the most important problems - defamiliation, insufficient social welfare, problem of the Korean economy, problem of frequent accidents and dualism - that occurred because of the rapid development. Today's policy that is trying to solve these problems and stop their advancement is also described.

The Problems of Contemporary Society in Movies of Kurosawa Kiyoshi

This Bc. thesis focuses on contemporary cinema work of Kurosawa Kiyoshi (born 1955), in which we may discern themes concerning social issues, especially identity loss, alienation, inability of communication etc. It dwells in the interpretation of five films (Kyua, Ōinaru Gen'ei, Karisuma, Kairo, Tōkyō Sonata), which were made within 1997 and 2008, and attempts at clarification of these problems on the basis of the artworks. Apart from this, the work describes Kurosawa's work in relation to specific genres and evaluates his film career.

Analysis of Roma integration in the Czech Republic using the theory of social construction of target populations

The master thesis deals with public policies in the area of Roma minority inclusion in the modern history of the Czech Republic after 1989. The main objective of the thesis is to identify, by applying the theory of social construction of target populations, the form of state intervention in solviing the exclusion of the Roma minority from society. And then to find out what influence the social construction of the Roma and their political possibilities play here. The research consists in analysing and identifying the different elements of the theory in the following order: 1. Analysis of public policies for Roma integration; 2. Analysis of the social construction of the Roma; 3. Analysis of the political power of Roma. The first step towards achieving the aim of the thesis is to reveal the nature of the policy design of Roma integration. In this step, I will analyse a convolute of public policy documents, which includes international legal conventions, domestic minority laws and strategic documents. In the next step, I will focus on the social image of the Roma, the form of which, according to the social construction theory of target populations, plays an undeniable role in the formulation of public policies and the behaviour of elected officials. Position of the magazine Mladý svět in Czechoslovakia during the seventies and eighties

Diploma thesis "Position of the magazine Mladý svět in Czechoslovakia during the seventies and eighties" deals with the magazine for young people called Mladý svět. It gives a brief summary of its creation and development during the sixties and focuses on the period of seventies and eighties. It explains political and social situation of that period in Czechoslovakia, especially in area of mass media, and it particulary works with content of the magazine. It analysis the number and content of its columns, the way they were interpreted and development of these characteristics during the given period. It follows topics of the articles and its relation to readers of the magazine and communist regime and its institutions. It deals with the audience of Mladý svět and especially with its reactions and feedback it provided. Than it focuses on the censorship and the way the magazine was controlled, on the given regulations and imposed penalties. It attempts to explain reasons why Mladý svět become phenomenon of its era and why it had so unique position within similar mass media products.

Mixed forms of elderly care and its impact on informal carers' mental health and social problems

The diploma thesis deals with mixed forms of elderly care in the Czech Republic. The aim is to identify the advantages and potential disadvantages of mixed forms of elderly care in connection with informal carers' mental health and social life. There are 2 groups of informal carers distinguished within the research - those, who get professional care help and those, who care alone or get just a little professional care help. Mixed methods design, which combines quantitative and qualitative research, was used to study the world of informal carers. The quantitative part is based on data from a research Podpora neformálních pečovatelů, which were selected by STEM/MARK agency in 2014. Qualitative research is based on 10 in-depth interviews with informal carers. Both pieces of research are integrated in a phase of data analysis by the explanation method. Informal carers' mental health problems and social problems and its intensity in connection to mixed forms of elderly care are formulated in the results. The thesis also presents factors, which influence mental health problems and social problems. The results showed that using professional care help simultaneously with informal elderly care has a positive impact on informal carers' mental health and social life. The Role Of The Roma Advisor in The Process Of Community Planning

My bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and research. In the first theoretical part I tried to describe and explain basic terms such as community planning of social services and Roma adviser. In the second part I try to fulfill the aim of the work through qualitative research, which is to find out the role of the Roma advisor in the process of community planning and answer the research question: Is the position of the Roma advisor important for community planning? The qualitative research was carried out using the method of questioning and using a semi-structured interview. The research group consists of Roma advisors from the South Bohemian Region. The research part also includes the methodology of work, especially the description of data collection and processing. The results of the interviews are then evaluated.

Social aspects of activities offered in the Park Čtyři Dvory in České Budějovice

This work pursues activities offered by park Čtyři Dvory in České Budějovice and its social impact to this area. The goal is description of all these activities and maping problems which prevent further development of providing social services to citizens. For this survey I choose two questions. Which are the problems of currently offered activities in development in park persist? What is the solutions of these problems according the respondents. Theoretical part is dedicated to social problems on current big Czech agglomerations and to specific social problems of housing estates Máj and Vltava in České Budějovice and finaly the park itself where it is analysed its potential and limits of impact on solutions of the social problems of these estates. Research part is made by qualified research and technique of structual conversations with open questions. The questions were conducted with representatives of public and with involved specialists. The research showed us that the biggest problem is not enough of control over the park and its all round maintenance. The there are problems with truancy, bullying and using of narcotic and psychotropic substances. And last but not least unused potential of the park. On base of the results was suggested actions in form of plan overall improvement condition of the park, potential expansion, periodical controls of all facilities. The instalation of quality camera system and of course social workers working with families in excluded locations.
