Multimedia Support for Sensor Network Education
Martínek, Radim ; Očenášek, Pavel (referee) ; Trchalík, Roman (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to support development of applications, which are suitable for operations in a sector of a sensor network. It provides for theoretical and practical knowledge of a wireless sensor network, so that any student of information technology can be easily acquainted with its advantages and disadvantages. It uses technology ZiGbee, built on standard IEEE 802.15.4 as the main platform. This technology is thoroughly analysed in the text. An essential component of the thesis is also a website, which includes all the important information mentioned within the scope of this work.
Data acquisition by Zigbee wireless technology
Kubíček, Lukáš ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Koutný, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with a ZigBee wireless technology and focuses on the potential use in the sensor networks. This thesis addresses both the structure and basic properties of ZigBee standard and possible use of this application in practice. The main part of this work is implementation of the sensor networks using ZigBee development kit of Jennic company. As an example of the practical use of ZigBee technology this network is connected to a computer in which data is collected from each sensor using the database and then through a PHP script presented on the Internet. Problem solving in this thesis focuses primarily on the simplicity and universality of the resulting applications.
Web-based data collection in Wireless Sensor Networks
Velký, Petr ; Komosný, Dan (referee) ; Červenka, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the feasibility collecting data from web servers running on the nodes in sensor networks. It focuses on sensor network based on IEEE 802.15.4 and 6LoWPAN. The work itself is divided to the node side and server side.REST web services on the node‘s Web server provides sensor data. These data are collected with Java application running on the sensor network server. This servers stores collected data in a database.

Wireless Sensor Networks Security
Nagy, Jan ; Trchalík, Roman (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the security of wireless sensor networks, mainly of the industrial standard ZigBee. The aim of the work is to familiarize with the 802.15.4 standard and the ZigBee technology, especially with present methods of security in this field. I have also analysed the requirements for the security of this technology. Further aim of this work is the introduction of the ZigBee kit and description of the Microchip's ZigBee stack. Analysis of the stack is connected with practical test of security functions in the ZigBee laboratory.
Compressive sampling for effective target tracking in a sensor network
Klimeš, Ondřej ; Veselý, Vítězslav (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with target tracking. For this a decentralized sensor network using distributed particle filter with likelihood consensus is used. This consensus is based on a sparse representation of local likelihood function in a suitable chosen dictionary. In this thesis two dictionaries are compared: the widely used Fourier dictionary and our proposed B-splines. At the same time, thanks to the sparsity of distributed data, it is possible to implement compressed sensing method. The results are compared in terms of tracking error and communication costs. The thesis also contains scripts and functions in MATLAB.
Wireless sensor network
Beneš, Vladimír ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Bohrn, Marek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis describes the design and implementation of wireless sensor network for temperature measurement. Network have to meet requirements for multi-hop network-type. That means, the sensor unit is out of the range, information about the measured temperature will be transfer between sensors. The sensor that is in range of the control unit and will have saved data from multiple sites, to transmit all the data controller. The sensors and the control unit are controlled by a microcontroller and a battery-powered for better mobility. The transfer of measurement data uses free zone for short-range devices - 433 MHz.

That means, the sensor unit is out of the range, information about the measured temperature will be transfer between sensors. The sensor that is in range of the control unit will retransmit data from multiple sites to the main device. The sensors and the control unit are controlled by a microcontroller and a battery-powered for better mobility. The transfer of measurement data uses free zone for short-range devices - 433 MHz.
Multiplatform communication in access networks
Novotný, Bohumil ; Sýkora, Jiří (referee) ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Doctoral thesis deals with failure detection methods in wireless access network using distributed stochastic algorithms. A new method of detecting a fault based on the push-sum algorithm has been designed and simulated. Within the scope of the work objectives, the statistical credibility of the average push-sum protocol convergence rate representative and the effect of message loss during the calculation on the robustness of the system using this protocol were compared. Based on the acquired knowledge, the ability of the protocol to mathematically derive deviations from the real average of the values in the specified topology was demonstrated and thereby the existence of an abnormality in the network has been proved or refuted.
Optimal methods for sparse data exchange in sensor networks
Valová, Alena ; Poměnková, Jitka (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is focused on object tracking by a decentralized sensor network using fusion center-based and consensus-based distributed particle filters. The model includes clutter as well as missed detections of the object. The approach uses sparsity of global likelihood function, which, by means of appropriate sparse approximation and the suitable dictionaty selection can significantly reduce communication requirements in the decentralized sensor network. The master's thesis contains a design of exchange methods of sparse data in the sensor network and a comparison of the proposed methods in terms of accuracy and energy requirements.
