Laboratory Monitoring System
Bošeľa, Jaroslav ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with network monitoring solution for school laboratory network. Describes the laboratory network devices, their purpose and condition before applying configuration, it also contains a comparison of commercial supervision network systems and the choice of one that has been used. The essence of the thesis is focused onto SNMP protocol, its use in laboratory network monitoring. In the practical part of the thesis is created the system supervision configuration, which is applied into laboratory network and ensures the supervision and monitoring for whole laboratory network.

Multiplatform communication in access networks
Novotný, Bohumil ; Sýkora, Jiří (referee) ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
Doctoral thesis deals with failure detection methods in wireless access network using distributed stochastic algorithms. A new method of detecting a fault based on the push-sum algorithm has been designed and simulated. Within the scope of the work objectives, the statistical credibility of the average push-sum protocol convergence rate representative and the effect of message loss during the calculation on the robustness of the system using this protocol were compared. Based on the acquired knowledge, the ability of the protocol to mathematically derive deviations from the real average of the values in the specified topology was demonstrated and thereby the existence of an abnormality in the network has been proved or refuted.

Services Optimization in FTTx Optical Access Networks
Horváth, Tomáš ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Vlček, Čestmír (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with an optimization of Triple play services and security in optical access networks. The first chapter provides theory basics which are necessary for results evaluation. The second chapter describes optical access networks with their parameters such as transmission speed, split ratio, line code, bit error rate etc. defined by ITU. Next chapter summaries the current state in optical networks construction field according to the European Union developing plan. The practical part of this thesis is divided into several subchapters. The significant part of the thesis is dedicated to the security of passive optical networks and design of proper security model for current networks. For this purpose, the unique parameter time propagation Tprop, with the novel security model was developed. Next part of the thesis provides an analysis of control traffic and data traffic in the gigabit passive optical networks. For a novel algorithm in activation process in gigabit passive optical networks the measurement results were used. The novel algorithm decreases the total time needed for this process. The last but one subchapter deals with an ILP model for Triple Play services. The last subchapter contains the own implementation of the transmission converge layer in VPIphotonics simulation tool.

Mitigation of Volumetric DDoS Attacks in SDN Environment
Hodes, Vojtěch ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The aim of this Master's thesis is to explore different attitudes and to design various monitoring and detection concepts of volumetric DDoS attacks in core networks. The thesis deals with data flow control protocols with an emphasis on a modern technology of Software Defined Networks. The last part of the thesis describes verification of the theory by setting up a laboratory environment for volumetric DDoS UDP Flood simulation, detection and automated mitigation.

Design of ICS Infrastructure for Industrial Compan
Sidor, Peter ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issues of industrial communication, that is necessary to take account before making a final draft of industrial infrastructure and the overall design of a network infrastructure for a particular object. The first part of this thesis describes ICS system, parts of ICS and principle of operation. The thesis also focuses on the current trends in industrial networks, systems communication, security requirements of physical layer and the main differences from commercial infrastructures. The second part of the thesis describes the design of infrastructure for the foundry object. The final draft resolves the location of the switchboards, the specification of the used elements, the security, the cost of the solution and the final solution in practice.

Coaxial cables in communication networks
Hotárek, Lukáš ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
The semestral thesis is focused on coaxial cables, its development and current utilization. In the prologue of this paper, the history and origin of the cable is described with mentioning important dates and events in its development. Since the coaxial cable is type of metallic cable, part of the paper deals with the theory, parameters and characteristics of metallic cables. The theory of all basic types of metallic cables is described, that implies twisted pair, structured cabling and coaxial cable, to which is dedicated most space. The next chapter presents brief description, basic division and utilization of fiber optic to enable comparison with coaxial cable. It presents main advantages and disadvantages as well as reasoning for prevalence of use of optic fibers. The current use of coaxial cable is presented. Aside from cable television, computer and telephone networks, the coaxial cables are also used as feeder lines for transmitting and receiving aerials and as television aerial lead. Due to great possibility of utilization of coaxial cables exists a broad spectrum of cables with different parameters and properties. Therefore a separate chapter focuses on particular types of cabling, describes its significant parameters and practical utilization. The last part of the paper presents parameters of coaxial cables that can be verified and that bear great importance in praxis. The methods of proper measurement are mentioned. Aforesaid parameters include impedance, cable loss and distance-to-fault. Described are also modern analyzers that are most commonly used for measuring said parameters of coaxial cables and aerials.

Coverage of signal - remote regionn
Grenar, David ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
Because the Czech Republic has been specific geographically rugged terrain. We could find a many places without a voice and data coverage. This place with worst signal coverage have sometime only the GSM technology, but this technology does not have high quality for calling inside building. The operators which are owner of GSM networks they don't care about how to make better coverage. The investment is more expensive than the profit of service. In 2012 was prepared auction of frequency for new LTE technology. In one of point was written that operators must start with building the networks at place with worst signal coverage, but in 2013 this point is missing. In thesis we will basically from our theoretical technological experience trying found out a solution of coverage in remote region. Our solution trying found out a best way between economic a technological transmission demand, between metallic, optical and wireless transmission medium. Next part is interest about compare properties, technical parameter and economics of building a type of network. Final step is building a real network distribution in chosen region.
