Eligibility of primary school pupils to manage their time
Tošnerová, Aneta ; Voda, Jan (advisor) ; Stará, Jana (referee)
The topic of this thesis is procrastination. Procrastination is "the illogical, but deliberate delaying of planned action, which is accompanied by a commitment to alternative activities." (Sliviaková 2010, p. 3). Occasional procrastination however mostly harmless is only a small step from procrastination chronic. Chronic procrastination already points at undesirable situation, the malfunction of a healthy lifestyle and self-control. That view is the starting point for the research work of the problem, which investigates the symptoms of procrastination among primary and secondary school pupils. Procrastination is usually being considered in relation to adults' behaviour. The question asked is whether it is relevant to consider procrastination also in relation to children at primary school. In the theoretical part, we therefore first gathered and compiled the available data about the topic from various Czech and foreign sources, mainly to define with necessary precision the object of the study (procrastination) and learned the wider context of the issue (time management, self- management). Ability to self-regulate social networking sites usage and its relationship to feelings of loneliness and life satisfaction
Nekola, Adam ; Horáková Hoskovcová, Simona (advisor) ; Blatný, Marek (referee)
This master thesis is in theoretical part focusing on the term of self-regulation according to Albert Bandura's theory (1991) and its domains of self-monitoring, self-judgement and self-reaction. Next we define its stand against terms such as addiction and habit, in case of low ability of one's regulation. Thanks to analysis of mainly foreign resources we oriented the work to explanation of relationship between self-regulation and loneliness and life satisfaction. These resources are chosen for their historical consistency and contemporary application, especially in domains of media and online environment. In empirical segment of thesis we are proposing our own questionnaire measuring our ability to self-regulate Facebook usage (SRQ-FB), inspired by original theory of Brown et al. (1999) and Czech translation of their questionnaire, translated and tested by Jakešová et al. (2015). Next we tested hypotheses based on assumption of relationship existence between score of our questionnaire (SRQ-FB) and score of loneliness (measured by UCLA Loneliness Scale; Russell et al., 1980) and life satisfaction score (SWLS - Satisfaction With Life Scale; Diener et al., 1984). Research sample consisted of two nation-based groups: Slovak (N = 168) and Czech (N = 21), which differed significantly in achieved score...

A Conception of pre-school child's resilience and its comparison from teacher's and parent's point of view The key words:  psychological resilience  pre-school child  initiative  self-regulation  attachment/relationships Abstract Theoretical part In the theoretical part the term "psychic resilience" and various approaches to it will be established. The reader will be familiarized with the factors of psychic resilience that are of the utmost importance for its development. A self-contained chapter will be dedicated to the characteristics of the pre-school child with a focus on the most important areas of said age - socialization, play, the development of self-regulation and initiative. Kindergartens as important institutions throughout the pre-school age will also be targeted. Practical part The goal of the practical part is to determine whether the viewing angle and overall conception of a child's psychic resilience differ among a child's parents and a child's teachers. Given the fact that psychic resilience is being developed in two separate environments, family and school, disparities in the conception of psychic resilience from a parent and teacher's standpoint have been observed. The standardized DECA-2 form has been used.

Czech leaders, unlike the European ones, are rather inattentive to the climate crisis. In recent years this is reflected in immergence of new organizations which creates pressure to address this situation.
