School psychologist's work in teacher's burnout syndrome

This thesis deals with the work of school psychologists in the field of teachers burnout syndrom. The purpose of this study is to describe how the school psychologists perceive burnout syndrome, how they contribute in its prevention and solving this problem in schools. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of school psychology according to current Czech law and available studies. The focus is on the work of school psychologists with teachers. The following chapters describe burnout syndrome, its causes, symptoms, prevention and how to handle it. The focus is on the teachers, whose job can be risky due to burnout syndrome. The practical part includes the results of qualitative research. The research was derived through interviews with 11 school psychologists (10 women and 1 man). According to my analysis I found that the school psychologists view burnout syndrom as a genuine problem and also recognise that being a teacher can be a risky occupation. They do not have any appropriate diagnostic tools to detect the professional satisfaction of the teachers. In some cases they monitor the situation at school. Pupils in institutional care from the perspective of a school psychologist

This thesis deals with the topic of students living at a children's home from the perspective of the school psychologist. The thesis describes, how school psychologists are approaching pupils from children's home and what specific requirements are essential for the job of the school psychologist when working with this particular group of students. Theoretic part focuses on declaring elementary activities of the school psychologist at the school and explains the advantages and possible obstacles of the psychologist job. Next part focuses on pupils from children's home and the topic of institutional care. Empiric part points at performing research including results and discussion. The research was completed with the assistance of the school psychologists using the interviews. Gained data from the interviews were analyzed based on the opened encoding and then presented by using a technique unloading card. The influence of Reuven Feuerstein ́s method on elementary school teacher didactics

This diploma thesis deals with influence of Feuerstein's method of Instrumental Enrichment on didactics of elementary school teacher. The Instrumental Enrichment method is a very sophisticated strategy for developing individual cognitive structures. A person who helps develop cognitive structures acts as a mediator. These mediators are most often parents or teachers. So, according to Feuerstein, the teacher is not merely a knowledge builder, but he tries to develop his / her thinking and teaching potential. The aim of my work is to deepen the general knowledge of the influence of this method on teachers' didactics from the perspective of those teachers who work with it. To clarify in which areas didactics teachers perceive the impact of this method and how concrete changes are reflected. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the author of the method, Professor Reuven Feuerstein, and the theoretical starting points from which his method is based. In addition, Feuerstein's Instrumental Enrichment Program is introduced, which is an application of mediated learning to pedagogical practice. It further defines the concept of didactics. Matěj Zahradník 2016 School Psychology at Elementary Schools in the Czech Republic from the Perspective of Public Policy Master's Thesis Abstract This diploma thesis focuses on school psychology as a part of the educational system in the Czech Republic, specifically part of primary schools. The beginning of the thesis presents an overview of relevant policy documents, which focus on school psychology, as well as an overview of development programs designed to support it. These overviews give the reader objective information on the current state of school psychology in the Czech Republic. Using the aforementioned documents, an online questionnaire, and most importantly twelve expert interviews (with school psychologists, representatives from the Ministry of Education, National Institute for Education, Charles University), this thesis analyzes benefits of school psychology, such as personal presence and knowledge of the school, preventive character of such services, mediation and others, its possible drawbacks and obstacles, like issues with consolidating the profession in the system, its financing, or the lack of supervision and intervision. Psychological aspects of cyberbullying

Diploma thesis "Psychological aspects of cyberbullying" deals with bullying, modern ways of communication and cyberbullying. It brings the main psychological knowledge connected to bullying, inquires into phenomena of communication using modern technologies and presents fundamental information about cyberbullying. The research part consists of qualitative and quantitative research. The purpose of qualitative research was to chart the phenomena connected to bullying and cyberbullying. The quantitative one informs then about the incidence of bullying and cyberbullying in the Czech Republic and conducts a survey of feelings, which are experienced by the victims of bullying and cyberbullying. The important part of the thesis is the statistical reliance analysis of those feelings according to various factors.
Classroom environment and ways of psychological intervention

This diploma thesis focuses on classroom environment and the possibilities of psychological intervention. The theoretical part deals with three main topics: classroom as a small social group, classroom environment and the possibilities of psychological intervention in such an environment. It describes the functioning of a classroom as a small social group, the principles of its development and relevant diagnostic methods. Classroom environment is defined by the components it is made of and aspects it is influenced by. Further on, the topic of positive classroom environment and its impact on the effectiveness of the instruction and the development of the personality of the pupils are discussed. The last topic outlines the possibilities of psychological intervention from the teacher's and school psychologist's points of view. The empirical part presents the outcomes of a research carried out in nine grammar school classrooms in order to analyse their environment - first-year students in comparison with fifth-year students. A set of three methods, two questionnaires and one graphic method, were used in the research. Function school psychologist on primary school

Aim of this thesis is to look at the problematics of function of the school psychologist on primary school and show how the school psychologist get on with individual teachers. School psychology, pedagogic psychology and their history will be explained in the theoretical part of the thesis. Then we look at the history of function of the school psychologist on primary school in the Czech republic and Slovakia. We look at its cooperation with other entities - parents, students or other institions. Practical part of this thesis consist of interview with school psychologists and teachers. The aim is to analyse relations between them and determine whether is a school psychologist respected figure.
