Repertoire and specificity of vocalization in Grey parrot (Psittacus erithacus)

The aim of the study was to map the repertoire of vocalization of four wild-caught grey parrots (Psittacus erithacus), two males and two females. Data were collected during nine days from June to November 2008 by recording of vocalization in standardized conditions. Recorded sounds (3 052) were categorized according to their characteristics using both visual inspection of spectrograms and listening. We found 70 different call types, which were combined into 18 bigger groups. We found no subject to use the whole repertoire. Important differences were found both between individuals and between males and females. almost all call types were used throuthout the whole period of recording. Half a century existence of Kladno Miners'Choir

Kladno miners' choir is a mixed choir, which operates in Kladno since 1958. Budding singing group initially featured only occasionally, but with the advent of conductor Roman Makarius given new impetus to the expansion of the repertoire and the tenth season of performing a concert with a separate program. HPS Kladno repertoire is divided into blocks and presented concerts of traditional and occasional performances. The College cooperates with solo artists and symphony orchestra, presents annually abroad. Active musical work is rich and HPS Kladno belongs to the cultural life of the city whose name it bears in its name. The membership of the choir is made up almost a third of teachers. The questionnaire survey demonstrated reflection of the choir membership in their teaching practice. Use of the choral repertoire for singing, listening and educational activities. Educators also use suggestions from the style of management staff. A significant contribution to the development of the musicality of each member of the targeted work with voice, music skills and expanding awareness of the musical heritage of other nations.

The development of literature for the recorder with focus on the baroque era

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the development of literature for the recorder from the beginnings to the present, with greater emphasis on literature from the Baroque period. The first part deals with the influence of development of the instrument on the development of literature, as well as the development of the recorder itself from its beginnings until today. The second part describes the literature for the recorder in individual historical periods. It outlines the main features of the recorder literature until the year 1600 and the main tendencies in the literature of the 20th and early 21st century. The greatest attention is devoted to Baroque literature. This chapter also contains a list of important works for recorder solo from the Baroque period.

Archives and documentation of performance art: at the intersection between history and myth.

The PhD thesis deals with the role of archives in the contemporary artistic and curatorial practice, with an emphasis on the performance art. It also analyses the creation process, methodology and the contents of selected personal and institutional archives in both Czech and international contexts. The objective of the paper is to answer the following questions: In what way is the documentation and subsequent archiving of process-oriented forms of art performed? How is the history of the contemporary art formed and interpreted through these archives and with the help of the artistic and curatorial practice? To what extent are we able to reconstruct the history from records and performance documents that are only fragmented, thus making a reference to a real action? Do the archives leave some room for misinterpretation, creating a myth or personality cult through its system of classification of knowledge? How indeed is the performance art related to its own history; how is this history perceived by the performer alone; and how is it approached by the professional audience? The paper will also include the analysis of current state and possible solutions to the operation of the archive of the Faculty of Fine Arts, which is related to opening a dialogue among artists, theorists and institutions that might be interested in better accessibility of such an archive.

Society of Humpolec: Singing society Čech and Lech

The aim of this bachelor thesis engaged in the activities of the Musical club Čech and Lech in Humpolec from 1862, when the club was founded, to interruption his activities in 1951. Part of work is a brief history of Humpolec, used to capture the social contexts of the club. Next is attention focuses on the organization and administration of the club during his activities or affairs of members. Disassembly the members of the club are important, their origin and social activities, as well as the membership base and the cultural and social activities of the club.

Elite and mass culture in the theatre, examples of productions and market segmentation in Prague

The Bachelor thesis addresses the subject of elite and mass culture in the theater. From theoretical and practical points of view, it tries to affect the main differences between the two cultural forms referenced herein. Based on theoretical findings, outlined in part one, the particular representatives of Prague theaters, their repertoire and attendance are then practically analyzed. In conclusion, the whole issue is also analyzed through the questionnaires concerning the preferences of today's society. This thesis aims to assess the situation generally in today's theater scene in Prague -- whether contemporary performing arts can be divided according to elite and mass culture and whether its distribution plays a role in the preferences of audience.
