The Motivation Issue of Upper Primary Students

The aims of this thesis is to map all issues related to learning motivation (or lack of it) of upper primary students. It tries to analyze factors that reduce or complicate motivation at school and it focuses on the most common consequences of frustration in school environment - boredom and anxiety. It also deals with possibilities how to arouse cognitive, achievement and social needs which play the key role at school, and it attempts to answer questions about the ways a teacher can increase upper primary students' motivation for learning, taking into account the specifics of their ontogeny. Special attention connected with this issue is devoted to the influence of teacher-pupil interaction. The empirical part provides insights from practice, these insights are regarded as a complement of the theoretical part.
Leisure activity of pupils and students in the youth home

ABSTRACT: The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to find out how students and pupils evaluate past time activities in the boarding house at our schoul. After getting known the legislation of boarding houses and the characteristics of age - groups of accomodated students the survey was accomplished. Each student evaluated the past time activities in the same way they are evaluated at school (1-5). For better grafic presentatoin of the results the evaluation was converted into points. Final results were put into charts and diagrams. Our schoolmistresses evaluated freetime activities in the same way as students did. There were made a list of activities that students and pupils liked and it was compared with the list that mistresses set. The conculsion was to think about these results and their using for organizing past activities in our boarding house for the next school year.
Eating disorders among pupils of upper primary school

This thesis deals with the eating disorders, focusing on two basic and currently the most important diseases - anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. The theoretical part summarizes findings about the eating disorders. I give basic information about anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, I devote the attention to their causes , symptoms and consequences. I also write about a prevention of the eating disorders in primary school. Based on the theoretical background, a questionnaire survey was conducted among elementary schools, which aim was to determine the level of knowledge of these issues, satisfaction with one's body and appearance and their relationship to the diet trends.
Sex education and sexual behaviour of high school students

The topic of this diploma thesis is sexual behaviour and sex education. The adolescent body goes through important biological changes that are reflected in the adolescent behaviour. The aim of this thesis is to describe and summarize the biological changes occurring in adolescence and show their connection to sexual, social, emotional and cognitive development in adolescence. The thesis also describes the psychological aspects of adolescence as well as the changes in cognition and the emotionality. Moreover, it also focuses on the development of human sexual behaviour. Finally, the theoretical part defines the theoretical basis of sex education and describes the current state of integration of sex education into the education system of the Czech Republic. Finally, this thesis also aims to analyse attitudes towards sex education of high-school students depending on the sex and type of attended high school, as well as to map experiences in sexual life of the first-year high- school students. The relationships between the level of physical activity, physical fittness and somatotype in youth women soccer players.

Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. Aim: To find and compare the level of physical activity, physical fitness and somatotype in youth women players (U13 and U15). The next aim was to determine the relationships between physical activity, physical fitness and somatotype in youth women players (U13 and U15). Methods: The object of the research was a group of girls aged from 11 to 15 years. Out of them were 14 girls actually playing for U13 and another 14 for U15. The daily motion aktivity of this group was tested by 14 accelerometers Actigraph GT3X. The length of testing period was one week. The level of motion abilities was examined by testing battery UNIFITTEST 6-60 through four different exercises. Both somatic test and UNIFITTEST 6-60 were realized during a camp. Results: The results show that girls playing for U15 are generally more active than girls playing for U12 (4 171 133 counts > 2 809 934 counts). It proves a fact that older girls make daily on average 15 462 steps compare to 9 764 steps of younger girls. By this result U13 team does not meet the recommendation of 11 000 steps in a day. It describes notions concerning Roma culture and issue, age epoch of target group and notions related to the leisure of child at middle school. It highlights the funktion of sport, which serves as a useful way to spend their free time in combination with the school and also very benefical aktivity affecting the physical, psychical and social condition of humans. This work also defines the factors effectin the education of Roma children and the importance of their education. It also highlights free time activities, as the tool of crime prevention. Teaching of orienteering at primary school.

Zuzana Procházková Department: Department of Physical Education Supervisor: PaedDr. Ivan Přibyl Objectives: The aim of this study is to present orienteering to pupils of primary school. Examine the effect of orienteering on pupils. Introduce history and the rules of orienteering, the system of competitions and the organization of trainings. Familiarize the reader with the other orienteering sports. Present developmental psychology of children aged 11 to 15. To put orienteering in curriculum for primary school. Methods: The method of questioning was used. We also organized the orienteering race for children. The results were evaluated into spreadsheets, graph and commentary was also used. Results: There are pupils from primary school in this research. Pupils are 11-16 years old. Most of the pupils knew about orienteering before this research. Most pupils ran between 15-20 minutes for one kilometre in the race. Fifteen pupils from 95 didn't find the control point. Pupils felt good after the race. Social deviance and deviant behavior among young people

In the theoretical part we explain the fundamental notions ie.: period of puberty, adolescence, elder school age and factors influencing an individual in the time of puberty and adolescence. Further on we describe a deviant behavior, its reasons and consequences. Emphasis here are placed on three types of deviant behavior, alcohol abuse, drogs and smoking. The reason is that older pupils attending the second level of elementary school often encounter these vices and thus aquire their first experiences. In the chapter "Prevention" we explain problem which falls into the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Youth and P.T. of the Czech Republic (hereafter MŠMT). Cooperation between family and school forms bases of child's socialization, his social skills and preparation for future life. Lastly, the emphasis here are placed on integration during deviant behavior, primary programs, secondary and tercial prevention. In the practical part we examine the answers of pupils attending 7. to 9. classes of Elementary Schools of Brloh and Křemže as regards their relation to drugs (here meant mainly marihuana), alcohol, smoking and spending their free time. We examined replies of 102 responders in total. The questionnaire had been composed mainly using closed questions, only at few semi-open questions were the responders given opportunity to express themselves. The answers are processed in graphes and finally summarized in hypothesis evaluation.
