TITLE: Popularity of physical education and sport among pupils of younger and older school age. AUTHOR: Lenka Floreová DEPARTMENT: Department of Physical Education SUPERVISOR: PhDr. PaedDr. Ladislav Kašpar, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The aim of this work is finding popularity of PE and sport for pupils younger and older school age in Kladno and the surrounding villages. The survey was conducted through questionnaires completed by 313 respondents. The questionnaire was focused on finding the popularity of sports and attitude of pupils toward physical educations. The goal was to find out what respondents like and dislike at PE classes, what other sport activities pupils perform outside of school and what attracts them try. Questionnaire was also finding out reasons of the popularity and unpopularity of PE and sports activities. The results of this thesis were evaluated using mathematical and statistical methods, and inscribed in the charts and tables. Both sexes were compared on the basis of responses of the research as same as younger and older school ages, and respondents from Kladno and rural schools in Kladno neighbourhood. Preference and Popularity of Individual Sport Activities among Older School - Age and Teenage Children in Kolín

This diploma thesis deals with the topic called "Preferences and Popularity of Individual Sports Branches by Children of Older School and Junior Age in Kolín". In the theoretic part I focused on definition of the main terms which occur in the name of the thesis as preferences, popularity, sports branch, children of older school age and children of junior age. Discovered data were processed on the basis of quantitative method via questionnaire survey and the evaluation was carried out via spreadsheet and statistical methods. The performed survey answered the stated survey questions from which emerged that children of older school age are more interested in performance sport. The most often performance sports done are football and dancing by both groups of the respondents. Further, girls would not change performance sport for their favourite one. Junior age children would like to do their favourite sport at performance level. Popularity of physical education does not vary by children doing sport for leisure or performance. Collective Evaluation of quality of movie and serial production on Czech-Slovak Movie Database on http: www.csfd.cz

Diploma thesis is entitled, "Collective Evaluation of Quality of Movie and Serial Production of Czech-Slovak Movie Database on http://www.csfd.cz". The main focus of this thesis is on the aggregated evaluation study of quality of movies in several internet movie databases, primarily in CSFD and IMDb. The study also defines these internet databases in the context of social discourse, briefly informs about the history of these databases, and introduces the reader into their functioning. Additionally concerning the quality of movies, databases represent the main authority, and sorting of the movies according to their 'colour' in CSFD is considered a form of agenda-setting. This study discusses the issues of quality, through analysis in an attempt to determine the quality of movies on the database. Much of the thesis discussion revolves around the author's research, which was carried out from September 2011 till the end of March 2012. Unfortunately, because of the extent of diploma thesis and the methodology used in the research, it was not possible to analyze serial production in more detail.

Popularity and attitudes to handball in the Czech Republic

Title: Popularity and attitudes to handball in the Czech Republic Objectives: The aim of this work is to find out public attitudes to handball and perception of its popularity in the Czech republic. Within this research is also the aim to examine frequency of respondents' contact and awareness about this sport. Methods: Gaining the necessary data for processing the topic is reached by the method of electronic questioning using the questionnaire that has been created strictly for purpose of this work. Processing of theoretical base of this bachelor thesis has been carried out with help of the source study method. Results: Research has found out attitudes of general public in the Czech republic to handball and also perception of its popularity. On the basis of questioning has been discovered main factors influencing popularity of handball and also possible moves, which should serve to its increase. The popularity of handball among Prague university students

Title: The popularity of handball among Prague university students Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the popularity of handball among the students of Prague universities. The content of the work is following and playing handball. It also focuses on awareness and knowledge of this sport and the general perception of the attractiveness of handball. Methods: Necessary data for this research was collected by the method an electronic questioning. The main instrument of this method was a questionnaire created especially for purpose of the work. The theoretical part was completed by a study of academic literature. Results: The results of research show how handball is popular among students of Prague universities. Research also found out the extent to which they play and watch handball and what they know about it. The marketing research of popularity of WOG Sochi 2014

Title: The marketing research of popularity of WOG Sochi 2014 Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to determinate the popularity of the WOG Sochi 2014 amongst Czech visitors of these games. Methods: I used the quantitative method of collecting primary data in this thesis. I used the method of personal interviews with using a questionnaire. The compiled questionnaire was distributed by myself to Czech visitors of WOG Sochi 2014 in place of Czech olympic house. The research lasted approximately two weeks and the results were then processed by the computer technology. Results: I have discovered that the WOG Sochi 2014 are very popular among Czech visitors. Research was attended by 200 individuals of whom 182 respondents completed the questionnaire. The results show that WOG Sochi 2014 were attended mainly by Czech visitors between the ages 36 - 45 who are interested in sport and Olympic Games. WOG Sochi 2014 met the expectatiton of all respondents and the respondents would recommend visit Olympics to many other people. The target of the thesis Relation between Textual Devices and Popularity of Media Text on the Example of Radio Series "Tlučhořovi" is to reveal if there exist any connection between significant textual devices used in the series and its popularity and success. As methods there are used semiotic analysis of sample of the series episodes and "respondent interview" with the listeners. In the first there is focus mainly on particular textual devices and in the second on what respondents consider to be reasons why they do listen to the series. Significant textual devices are one of the central themes of cultural studies and this work sets itself a task to deduce from findings conclusion which would be generalizable to relation between media texts and their audiences universally.

The impact of placing parkour to the OG on the viewership of gymnastics and its popularity

Title: The impact of placing parkour to the OG on the viewership of gymnastics and its popularity Objectives: The aim of this work was to find out whether the inclusion of parkour at the OG will have an impact on gymnastics viewership and its popularity. The partial goals were to find out the respondents' awareness of parkour and gymnastics and their viewership. Methods: The main goal of the bachelor's thesis required a primary data collection. The research used a quantitative method of questionnaire and could not be done without an operationalization, which was a part of the preliminary elaboration of the research procedure. The research file was selected by an available selection. The questioning was conducted in the electronic form on the Vyplnto.cz website. The research took place in May 2021 and the final research file contained 63 respondents. Results: It was found that the inclusion of parkour in the OG would affect the viewership of gymnastics and its popularity. Gymnastics are currently declining in popularity, while parkour is very popular, especially among teenagers. The teenagers are the ones on whom gymnastics should focus its promotional activities, as these individuals are interested in parkour. Keywords: traceur, popularity, contest, fan, independence
