Title: Possibilities of education of students with physical and combined disabilities author: Bc. Kamila Chroboková leading: Doc. PaedDr. Vanda Hájková, Ph.D. Abstract This paper attends to the issues concerning children with physical and combined disabilities, and the possibilities for their education. It briefly summarizes the issues of physical and combined disabilities, and explains the difficulties that these children might experience during the course of their education and that should be anticipated during the education process. The second part of this paper enlightens the forms of primary education available for these children. Furthermore, it describes the general and academic educational programmes that primary schools follow today. Within the framework of special education, the institution Jedlička Institute in Prague (JÚŠ) is briefly introduced. In conclusion, this paper presents research conducted on and mapping the progress of students of JÚŠ special primary school and records from the documentation of these children. Subjective pereption of Quality of life of people after spinal injury

The thesis deals with the subjective perception of quality of life of persons that have suffered a spinal cord injury. The Theoretical part is devoted to the quality of life, its definitions, concepts, factors and measuring. Further, it focuses on spinal cord injuries and their consequences with regard to functionality of extremities and organs. It describes types of handicap, process and components of physical therapy. It also deals with psychological stress of a person dealing with the injury and its consequences. Focus is in particular applied to coping strategies and adaptation mechanisms. The third chapter of the Practical part is devoted to the quality of life of a specific target group, i.e. of persons that have suffered spinal cord injury. It introduces the factors and specific aspects contributing to the perception of quality of life. It also addresses some of the frequent mistakes and stereotypes in approaches to people with handicap. In the Empirical part, we have found out that people who suffered spinal cord injury perceive the lower level of quality of life in the area of health and relationships. Substance abuse and addictive behaviour among people with acquired physical disability: questionnaire survey.

Background: In the Czech Republic and abroad, there is very little research regarding addiction-related issues of physically disabled people, although there are many risk factors that may contribute to the development of substance use problems in this group. Substance use also often plays a role in the aetiology of the disability itself. Objective: The main aim of this paper was to map out and analyze the use of legal and illegal substances and addictive behaviour in a specific group of people with acquired physical disabilities. Methods: The research was conceptualized using a quantitative method and data was collected through an online questionnaire survey. Further, the data was processed and analysed using Microsoft Excel and TIBCO Statistica 13. The research sample consisted of 102 individuals with acquired physical disabilities whose average age was 39,8 years. Results: The results show that, according to the AUDIT questionnaire, 88,2 % of individuals in the group of people with an acquired physical disability abstain or consume alcohol at low risk. Respondents who had a positive prognosis for their disability had significantly lower AUDIT scores than respondents without a positive prognosis. Sexual satisfaction in people with spinal cord injuries engaged in regular physical activity

Title: Sexual satisfaction in people with spinal cord injuries engaged in regular physical activity. Objectives: The main goal of this work is to determine the level of sexual satisfaction in people with spinal cord injuries, who perform regular physical activity. Methods: A battery of questions was used to find out the satisfaction of people with spinal cord injuries, who regularly perform physical activity. The WHOQOL 100, PASID, LATA, SAS SAQ questionnaires were used as basic for creating battery of questions. Data collection was completely anonymous and took place online. The survey involved 21 respondents with spinal cord injuries (18 men and 3 women) aged 18 to 75 years. All were included in the research because they met the criteria for performing regular physical activity. The results of the survey were processed into graphs and tables and supplemented by a written commentary. Results: It was found that for a majority of respondents their sexual life is important and for most of them the sexual life is a source of pleasure. Almost half of the respondents consider their sexual life satisfactory. However , less than half of the respondents state that not all their needs are met. Pastoral care of persons with physical disabilities - theory and application

The diploma thesis strives to map and analyze the pastoral care of people with disabilities in the Czech Republic, both theoretically and practically. The theoretical scope of the topic uses primarily scientific literature from the field of neurology, psychology and sociology. In this theoretical part, it does not ignore the social policy of the state, which should help these people. Great emphasis is also placed on biblical and ecclesiastical teachings. Professional literature from the field of special pedagogy and pastoral theology is used as well for analysing the practical aspects of the topic, but mainly it draws from the practical experience of respondents to the questionnaire created in the framework of this thesis. The first two chapters describe physical disabilities from the perspective of neurology and psychology. The third chapter analyses theoretically attitude of society and the state to this issue. The fourth and fifth chapters deal with the question of disability in terms of Bible and church documents. Quality of life of people after spinal cord injury practicing outdoor sports and physical activities

Title: Quality of life of people after spinal cord injury practicing outdoor sports and physical activities Objectives: The aim of this diploma thesis was to determine the quality of life of people after spinal cord injury who participe in outdoor sports or physical activities in their lesure time. The subsequent aim was to compare the obtained results with selected groups of people without spinal cord injury and people after spinal cord injury who do not primarily engage in outdoor sports. Methods: The standardized WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire from World Health Organization was used to measure the quality of life in this thesis. The data collection was done online and the data were evaluated according to the relevant manual using Microsoft Excel. The results are presented in tables and graphs for clarity, including verbal descriptions. A total of 32 people with post-traumatic spinal cord injury (23 men and 9 women) aged 30-75 years participated in the study. 11 of whom had quadriplegia and 21 had paraplegia/paraparesis. Title: Influence of the educational project of Applied physical activities on the attitudes of high school students Objectives: The aim of my bachelor's thesis was to find out the attitudes of the third year students, potential future teachers, at the pedagogical high school, to people with physical disabilities, and to shift their views after completing the online intervention. It was an educational program of applied physical activities for 2 classes with a length of 45 minutes. Methods: An observational study aimed at comparing the attitudes of intact students towards a pupil with a physical disability before and after the intervention. A quantitative research methodology was chosen for the needs of the research survey. It was an educational program of applied physical activities for 2 classes with a length of 45 minutes. Due to the pandemic situation online form of self- designed questionnaire and Adjective Checklist. 28 students of the Futurum pedagogical lyceum were selected for the research, who underwent an online program of an educational lesson of applied Physical Activities. Title: Application of iBoccia as a means of promoting integration Objectives: The aim of the Bachelor thesis was to examine the effect of participation in the one-off sport inclusive event ,,iBoccia nanečisto" consisting of playing iBoccia on a group of people with and without disabilities. Subjective impressions of the game as well as meetings for both groups and an interest in more experiences for the future were examined. Methods: The qualitative research included the organisation of the "iBoccia nanečisto" event. 6 probands were chosen for the research, of which 3 boccia players with disabilities and 3 non-disabled sport lecturers who have not yet become familiar with disabilities. For both groups, a self-design survey was used to evaluate the action. Using the semi-structured interview method, subjective opinions of non-disabled individuals about the experience of individuals with disabilities and their mobility activities were collected. Results: The survey and interview investigation confirmed the participants subjective positive impressions and pointed to the benefits of inclusive actions. Individual criteria.
