Nekuda, L. Career management of student and graduates on social media. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2023. The diploma thesis deals with the use of social networks in career management of students and graduates of economics faculties. The research is based on previously conducted studies and selected statements that emerge from the studies. The main part of the research evaluates the services provided by university career centres and then the use of social networks for career development. Recommendations were formulated based on the questionnaire survey respondents' current use of social networking sites and their preferences regarding the transfer of information towards students during their studies. The results indicated the need for including the issue in the curricula of economics faculties and confirmed the claims of the studies in the research part of the thesis.
Correlation between the popularity of the ANO brand in the Moravian-Silesian Region and the success of the elected mayor Tomáš Macura in the 2022 municipal elections

The bachelor's thesis titled Correlation between the Popularity of the ANO Brand in the Moravian-Silesian Region and the Success of Elected Mayor Tomáš Macura in the 2022 Municipal Elections is dedicated to a case study of Tomáš Macura within the framework of municipal politics in Ostrava. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the terms associated with brand, branding, political brand, and personal political brand. It is followed by a chapter on the socio-political context, where the work summarizes the ANO 2011 party's results at different political levels, with a specific focus on the Ostrava region. This chapter also addresses the rise of the ANO 2011 party, along with its history. A subsequent subsection is dedicated directly to Tomáš Macura and his political career. In the analytical part, the thesis delves into the analysis of internal party research and the media visibility of Tomáš Macura prior to the 2022 municipal elections. The result of the study reveals that both parties - Tomáš Macura and the political party ANO 2011 - benefited from their coexistence, thus creating a symbiotic relationship between them.
Communication analysis of chosen Czech music artists aspiring to succeed on foreign markets during the year 2021

The aim of this thesis is to describe how Czech music artists use social media to promote their music in foreign countries. The theoretical part deals with the importance of building a personal brand for the growth of digital communities and describes theoretical knowledge about creating content on social media. The practical part analyses a communication of 3 selected Czech music artists aspiring to succeed on foreign markets during the year 2021. The gathered data is compared with each other and with the theory. There are communication recommendations of the author at the end of the paper.
Osobní branding a jeho význam na začátku profesní kariéry

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of personal branding and its role in the beginning of a professional career. The aim of this thesis is to find out the importance of personal branding for students and graduates belonging to generation Y in the beginning of their professional career and for their potential employers. Then, based on the findings, suggest marketing recommendations for stakeholders to support Y-generation students and graduates in building their personal brand. For this purpose, the combination of quantitative and qualitative research was conducted through in-depth interviews with students and graduates of various specialization (n = 30), with recruiters (n = 10) representing the potential employers and trough a questionnaire survey (n = 312). From the data collected and the analysis of the current situation regarding personal branding, it was found that representatives of generation Y and the company representatives are aware of the personal branding concept but they differ in the level of a knowledge and would like to involved it more during the studies. The recommendation concerns an introduction of personal branding teaching at high schools and universities.
The Presentation of Body and Corporeality in Instagram with Regard to Interactions of Its Users

This diploma thesis aims to provide an overview of social networks issue, specifically of increasingly popular Instagram with regard to body and corporeality perception of its users and interpersonal interactions. The theoretical part of this thesis cover symbolic interactionism, which analyse the society through individual interactions and interprets them. Other theoretical chapters are dedicated to notions of self-presentation and body from the sociological point of view and current research of self-presentation and interactions in the Instagram environment. For the empirical part of this diploma thesis the qualitative approach has been chosen. The sample of studied individuals was composed using the purposive sample and the snow ball method, with respect to defined socio-demographic criterions. The sample is composed of man and women in the age of twenty to thirty years old, living in the Czech Republic, who are university students or absolvents. The data were obtained using semi-structured interviews and diary research. The audio record, text and photographs were analysed following the example of the grounded theory.

Career self-representation of students of the Faculty of Management at the University of Economics on the professional social network LinkedIn

This paper addresses the issue of career self-presentation . It focuses mainly on the professional social network LinkedIn , specifically its incidence among students the Faculty management at the University of Economics in Prague. Methodology for data collection are online questionnaires. The conclusions drawn from the research signalling of how many students FM VSE focuses on self-promotion and how many of them are using network LinkedIn for this purpose. The work offers summary and recommendations, which are associated with personal branding.
