Regulations, standards, safety of hydrogen filling stations
Janík, Jakub ; Ušiak, Michal (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis provides a comprehensive overview of current regulations, standards, and safety measures regarding hydrogen refueling stations. It focuses on analyzing safety risks associated with hydrogen refueling practices and identifying key areas of potential hazards. Additionally, it presents an overview of existing refueling stations in the Czech Republic, along with an examination of standards for various vehicle types. Based on this analysis, recommendations are formulated for updating and enhancing existing regulations and safety measures to improve the efficiency and safety of hydrogen refueling station operations.
Determination Parameters of Synchronous Machines according to Measurement
Hrtáň, Michal ; Vaněk, Jaromír (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
This "Determination Parameters of Synchronous Machines according to Measurement" bachelor thesis describes methods of tests necessary to determine loss and efficiency of electrical machines with focus on synchronnous ones. It determines calculation procedures for evaluating the measurements. Furthermore, it deals with measuring mechanical vibrations and noise of an electrical machines. Definitions of given tests are written up with regards to contemporary norms. From above mentioned information comes a serviceable tool for automatic measurement protocol generation, which is an electronic form. The measured values are the input of the form. The output of the form is the measurement protocol with results of calculation and graphs of characteristics. For the thesis purposes, the form was filled in with acquired values from tests of a specific synchronnous machine. The related calculations for determining the machine parameters are stated.
Proposal for a Business Plan
Lanc, Martin ; Caha, Pavel (referee) ; Zinecker, Marek (advisor)
The subject diploma thesis “Proposal for a bussines strategy” is the formulation of a bussines plan for a concrete small-sized company. Finally this plan will be used as model for a realization of private kindergarten. This work includes a theoretical part, problems analysis with summary of issues relating to legal, constructive conditions for building and functioning, fiscal and economical aspects. Final part of this work is dedicated to overall assessment and expansions possibilities.
Railway Crossings
Nováková, Anna-Marie ; Hoza, Miroslav (referee) ; Svoboda, Richard (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the railway crossings problem from the point of meaning of all available legislation. In this work I tried to find out whether all available legislative resources for railway crossings design are identical in their interpretation, as ambiguity of these resources could confuse drivers of vehicles and lead to the big number of traffic accidents. To solve this problem I analyzed all available legislative resources. I determined the most important chapters which context might be interpreted in a different way. Furthermore, I investigated which specific legislative resources deal with the problem and then compared it individually. By completion of this work I figured out that the most important chapters of existing legislative resources don’t contain ambiguity in railway crossing design.
The Clock Drawing Test: Normative data for Czech elderly
Mazancová, Adéla ; Kulišťák, Petr (advisor) ; Vranka, Marek (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of limited normative data and its aim is to report the norms of the Clock Drawing Test (CDT) in a large sample of cognitively healthy Czech elderly (N = 501; aged 60 to 99). The CDT is a commonly used tool for screening of cognitive functions. We worked with the following version of test: clock drawing with pre- drawn circle and time setting 13.45 using three different scoring systems (Babins, Slater, Whitehead, & Chertkow, 2008; Cohen, Ricci, Kibby, & Edmonds, 2000; Shulman, Pushkar Gold, Cohen, & Zucchero, 1993). As a result, we found a significant effect of age and education, but non-significant effect of gender on CDT performance in old age. Therefore normative data was calculated considering those two demografical variables; the tables present means, standard deviations and t-scores based on defined subgroups. The results indicate that CDT performance of cognitively healthy elderly is negatively influenced by age, while directly proportional effect of education. Moreover it seems that the range of scores of the test grows with increasing age. Data collected in this thesis may be used for a more effective and standardized interpretation of CDT performance in old age in both clinical context and research. We also confirmed high inter-rater reliability...
Laboratory task - system for measurement of optical fibre attenuation by direct method
Jančová, Silvie ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Dejdar, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of attenuation in optical fibers and subsequent measurement using the transmission method. The theoretical analysis deals with the optical fibers themselves and their transmission properties with an emphasis on dispersion and standards. The original idea of the practical part was the implementation with a photodetector. Due to the small power of the photodetector, the practical part focuses on the demonstration of attenuation measurement using measuring devices that are commonly used in practice. In the laboratories, optical fibers with a length of several tens of kilometers are used for demonstration. The laboratory task will help students to master the basic units of attenuation and gain an understanding of measurement in practice.
Linear structures BIM model analysis
Kunčarová, Edita ; Gottvaldová, Jana (referee) ; Radimský, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explore the field of information modeling with a focus on infrastructure. The theoretical part, describes the essence of the BIM method, its advantages, disadvantages, pitfalls and basic terms. Furthermore, the work deals with norms, regulations, standards, legislation, tender conditions etc. In all these parts previously mentioned it is aimed to explain the main given documents using concrete examples that relate to infrastructure constructions. Part of the work is also a practical demonstration of models of identical building objects in different stages of documentation. The purpose of the practical part is the application of data standards and above all the demonstration of different processing due to the purpose of the model.
Analysis of conditions for physical education in primary schools in České Budějovice
ŠPÍRKOVÁ, Markéta
This diploma thesis analyses physical education conditions at primary schools in České Budějovice. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the development of physical education and sporting facilities in the Czech Republic, the development of education in České Budějovice, the didactic of school physical education and its conditions, and lastly, it deals with the norms for the physical education and sport. The aim of this thesis was to determine and compare the material conditions for the physical education in individual schools. The thesis deals with the schools lying in the current local city territory of České Budějovice. It concerns seventeen state schools and one church school. The obtained information was confronted with the maximum authorized capacity of pupils and the recommended urban indicators, together with the total area of the inside and outside physical education facilities calculated in square meters. The collected data was used to create relevant tables and graphs. This thesis can serve as an overview primarily for the school's establishers, alternatively as a basis for the justification of the sporting facilities renovation or enlargement proposals in individual schools. The aim of the thesis is to identify and compare material conditions for physical education in elementary schools in České Budějovice.
The Role of Privacy in Forming the European Union's Normative Power through Regulation
Hejtmánek, Matěj ; Young, Mitchell (advisor) ; Weiss, Tomáš (referee)
The question of privacy has long been an integral part of the debate on human rights and fundamental values, which national governments should ensure. The rapid technological development of last decades brought the topic of privacy protection even more to display mainly because of the rising digital economy and new challenges that are connect with it. This thesis discusses the role of privacy, as a fundamental right, in forming the European Union's role as a global power, specifically, the thesis builds on two theories: The Normative Power Europe and The Brussels Effect. Digital economy of the European Union has been growing exponentially over the last two decades. Given the increased importance of the digital economy since the 1990s the European Union started to gradually implement laws to regulate the flow of the personal data online. These new regulations often had influence on global markets and big tech companies operating on the European single market but residing outside of Europe. Apart from analyzing the development of the European data protection laws, and the role that was played by the European Courts in forming the European global power, the thesis overviews the debate surrounding the incentives to introduce new regulations to protect the right private life of European citizens.
