Cryptocurrency – a modern kind of money

Kryptoměna se stala známým fenoménem ve světě bankovních a elektronických plateb, ale pro širokou veřejnost je stále záhadou, a ne vše je vysvětleno tak, aby s ní mohl kdokoliv obchodovat. Tato práce se zaměřuje na kryptoměny. Studie se zaměřuje na původ kryptoměn, principy, na kterých jejich zabezpečení funguje, proč jsou jejich transakce nevysledovatelné a jak jsou tyto převody prováděny. Následně se práce zabývá tím, kde může majitel uchovávat své kryptoměny, jaké typy peněženek existují, čím se těžba kryptoměn zabývá a co lze jejím prostřednictvím získat. Jednotlivé kryptoměny jsou diskutovány ke konci práce, včetně jejich historie a které peněženky jsou vhodné pro každou minci. Dále se tato práce věnuje fiat měnám, včetně jejich historie a ekonomických funkcí, které plní. Nakonec jsou tyto ekonomické funkce aplikovány na kryptoměny. Cílem této práce je získat větší přehled o kryptoměnách, včetně toho, co jsou zač, jak fungují a jak s nimi zacházet.

Toxicity of overburden and what determine it

The bachelor thesis provides an overview and summary of the possible causes of phytotoxicity on mineral extraction sites, mentions the impact on plant biota, the impact on surrounding ecosystems and explores the possibilities of reducing or mitigating the effects. The main cause of phytotoxicity is low pH, which arises from the natural weathering of native materials and results in most soil processes and contamination. A way in which phytotoxicity can be mitigated on spoil heaps sites are by choosing appropriate reclamation.

The cult of St. Barbara in medieval Bohemia

The bachelor thesis deals with the cult of Saint Barbara in medieval Bohemia. Saint Barbara is a legendary saint whose martyrdom is estimated to have occurred around 306. Saint Barbara was first venerated in the East. The cult was imported to Italy during the Byzantine occupation in the 6th century, from there was spread further north of the Alps. The cult experienced its greatest expansion in the West in the 14th century. The cult of Saint Barbara was spread in Bohemia in the 14th century and never achieved such popularity as cults of other saints (for example Saint Catherine). The popularity of the Saint Barbara cult in Bohemia has been reconstructed mainly on the basis of the frequency of dedications of churches, chapels and altars.

Incentive Strategies for Transaction-Fee Regime of Proof-of-Work Blockchains

V tejto práci sa zaoberáme tkz. undercutting útokmi v blockchainoch založených na transakčných poplatkoch (Proof-of-Work, PoW) s pravidlom voľby najdlhšieho reťazca pri vzniknutí forkov. Ďalej sa zameriame na problém kolísania výnosov z ťažby a tkz. mining gap -- teda situáciu, v ktorej okamžitá odmena z transakčných poplatkov nepokryje výdaje ťažiarov. Na zmiernenie týchto problémov navrhujeme riešenie, ktoré rozdeľuje transakčné poplat\-ky z vyťaženého bloku na dve časti -- (1) okamžitú odmenu pre ťažiara bloku a (2) vklad odoslaný do jedného alebo viacerých kontraktov na prerozdelenie poplatkov nazvaných poplatky-prerozdeľovacie kontrakty ( Fee-Redistribution Contracts\,--\,$\mathcal{FRC}$s), ktoré sú súčasťou konsenzuálneho protokolu. Tieto poplatky-prerozdeľovacie kontrakty zároveň odmeňujú minera bloku určitým zlomkom naakumulovaných prostriedkov z prichádzajúcich poplatkov za vopred stanovený čas. Toto nastavenie nám umožňuje dosiahnuť niekoľko zaujímavých vlastností, ktoré sú prospešné pre stabilnú incentívu pre minerov a bezpečnosť protokolu. S naším riešením sa zlomok \textsc{Default-Compliant} minerov, ktorí priamo nevykonávajú undercutting útok, zníži z pôvodného výsledku 66\% na 30\%.

"In this thesis I wanted to put into context the relationship between mining and the development of towns in Slovakia. The intention was to show a direct connection between the historical development linked to the period in which mining began and the manifestation of underground mining on the physical form of cities. The phenomenon of mining developed differently in different areas. In this thesis I decided to deal with Prievidza, which has the attribute of a "mining town", but no mine can be found in its cadastral territory. And yet mining has changed its face forever. The mining industry went hand in hand with the modernisation of the environment and other industries. However, the town did not keep up with the times at the pace set by the state and many important factors such as the provision of quality transport accessibility and amenities. Only housing estates and industrial buildings separated by places of no clear significance were able to be built in a hurry. The half-hearted realisation of the state's vision, which changed the character of the environment permanently on the face of it, has hurt many cities. Where the hand of the state failed to play unexpected moves in the frenzied 20th century, today there may be a more attractive environment for tourists and visitors, but does it make such a difference to local residents? Tourist attractive open-air museums or romantic squares would be futile to look for in Prievidza. One open-air museum is made of the Cigel mine in Sebedraží near Prievidza, where we are guided through the underground with a helmet and a light attached to a belt, but one does not stay longer in this area. Visitors may go to Bojnice Castle and the zoo. Prievidza, however, is an invisible place on the map. Its romantic character is buried by shopping malls and T05 and T11 apartment blocks, which have been replaced by villas and houses. In the skyline we can see a hot water pipe and where here a chimney or a hall protrudes. At first glance, the generic spaces of the city with their indeterminate character evoke feelings of emptiness. The urban fabric is interwoven with such places. Empty to the eye, but carrying an important meaning for the city because they unleash the established courses, flows and processes of the city often times. Some places, however, displace any function other than that of transit - flow. They are just mono-functional dividing lines in the city. The city, whether with a historically significant context or not, bears the signs of the times that we are trying to embrace. In this thesis, I have focused on such places that play a role in the city, but are often misunderstood or just ignored by many residents. They are the remnants left over from visions but bring something unexpected and free to the city. They are also the places forming the immediate surroundings of busy roads that have scarred the face of the city for the purpose of car or train traffic. They have struck our hearts, and they have not yet recovered, but perhaps it is time to look for ways to respond to these wounds of the past. To look at the nature of these places and the contribution they make to the city, and what spatial possibilities they open up by their character." Specifically, the corner lot in Liberty Square may be described as a vague place whose location is, however, right in the center. It is a remnant of the post-World War II urban core redevelopments. I propose a cultural centre on this site.

Investment in Cryptocurrency

The bachelor's thesis presents the basic pillars of cryptocurrencies, such as history and gradual development, what algorithms bitcoin uses and its functions, as well as introduces the main substance of this industry. Furthermore, this work presents the possibilities of using cryptocurrencies, like acquiring, selling, evaluating and taxing bitcoin, its conditions for taxation and possibility of safekeeping, using it as payment methods on the black market or financing other criminal activities. This part also includes an analysis of the possibilities and conditions of buying and selling selected cryptocurrency. The work also deals with calculating the returns and annual yield of investing in cryptocurrencies for a duration of eight years, and includes a survey of people's awareness of this issue. The conclusion of this thesis employs a multicriteria decision-making process to select an appropriate exchange and cryptocurrency for investment.

Montanistic tourism as an opportunity for the development of new tourism

The bachelor thesis deals with the problematics of mining tourism in a chosen region. The work analyses opportunities for development of the new mining tourism products. The chosen region is Příbram region and it is specifically focused on the Mining Museum Příbram which is one of the oldest museums in the Czech Republic. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create new products of mining tourism, propose measures and contribute to improvement of services and potential of the Mining Museum Příbram. It is based on the analyses of customer satisfaction with visit of the Mining Museum. The survey was conducted using questionnaires collected in September and October, out of the main season. The questionnaires were completed by the Museum visitors during events or after the tour in mines. Based on the results, several measures are proposed to improve the exploitation of the potential for the mining tourism.

The subject is "Possibilities o fland reclamation of areas afected by mining and waste disposal in suburban territory". The area is Odkaliště Hodějovice. This plant lies in three municipal territories {--} České Budějovice, Staré Hodějovice a Srubec. The decanting plant is used to stock of ash materiál from Teplárna Inc. České Budějovice and steam plant Nové Vráto. The area of this territory is c. 52,6 ha. In the decanting plant will proceed a biological reclamation. The purpose of this reclamation is {\clqq}return to nature``.
