Research into GPS system used for Wireless Sensor Node Localization
Juračka, Jan ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
Theme of the thesis is research and possibility of using GPS system from localization in wireless sensor network. Paper deals with the accuracy and energy consumption of GPS localization. Thesis also solve using of localization in local anchor system. Theoretical part describes IEEE 802.15.4 standard, capability of used nodes and describe ways how to use RSSI value to resolve location
Project Design and Project Management Methodology Application in a Company
Zito, Andrej ; Kyzlink, Roman (referee) ; Doskočil, Radek (advisor)
This thesis addresses localization project Reeses for company Autodesk. It analyzes the options of Alpha Ltd. to participate in its execution. It proposes technical and organizational actions using project management methods. The outcome is a set of plans for management and course of the project.
Low power GPS locator
Hus, Peter ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
The aim of the work is to design a low power GPS locator which will serve as a security device for location tracking and checking vehicles status. The designed device will be able to identify unauthorised manipulation of the vehicle and warn a user through SMS message. The device will be sending some information from GPS module in case of a theft regularly. The design is focused on the lowest current consumption, wide range of operating temperatures and reliability.
Button Search in Forms
Dyk, Tomáš ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
Diploma thesis describes a system for automatic detection of buttons from a screen photo. The system is used together with a robotic arm and a camera to detect buttons on the screens of embedded devices. After detecting buttons on the screen, the algorithm commands the robotic arm to click on the position of the detected button. The algorithm creates a navigation map in which all screens of the device are visible by systematically clicking through all buttons on all screens. For each screen, the positions of the detected buttons and the destination to which the screen points are stored.
Visual odometry for robotic vehicle Car4
Szente, Michal ; Krejsa, Jiří (referee) ; Najman, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with algorithms of visual odometry and its application on the experimental vehicle Car4. The first part contains different researches in this area on which the solution process is based. Next chapters introduce theoretical design and ideas of monocular and stereo visual odometry algorithms. The third part deals with the implementation in the software MATLAB with the use of Image processing toolbox. After tests done and based on real data, the chosen algorithm is applied to the vehicle Car4 used in practical conditions of interior and exterior. The last part summarizes the results of the work and address the problems which are asociated with the application of visual obmetry algorithms.
Comparison of methods for indoor localization
Povolný, Ondřej ; Rozum, Stanislav (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is in theoretical part focused on the ideas of the localization of people or objects, using the IoT technologies, namely ZigBee and Lora™. The possible methods of localization are mentioned, with the mention of parameters of the used technologies and the overview of existing modules that are obtainable on the market. The result of a practical part is design of PCBs, the basic testing of hardware and software and the analysis of the obtained data.
Location Estimation of Objects in WiFi Communication Network
Kohoutek, Jan ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of the thesis is to design and physically implement a system for location of devices in a Wi-Fi based networks deployed in the interior of small and medium-sized enterprises. First of all, the attention is given to the survey of commonly available technologies suitable for determination of the object position. Then, based on these findings, architecture of a location system comprising an array of sensor nodes and central processing unit is proposed. In conclusion, the results are presented and the fulfillment of the requirements is evaluated.
3D Face Reconstruction
Poulíček, Zbyněk ; Šiler, Ondřej (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
The top of this thesis is 3D face reconstruction by the help the projected regular grid from the 2D image. It also includes the grid detection and the description of methods that are needed to raster image processing. The application was written in C++ programming language, it uses OpenCV graphic library, and also it is designed for OS Windows XP and higher.
Construction of The GPS device
Hlaváč, Libor ; Macháň, Ladislav (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is a complete design and realization of a device that is able to communicate with GPS module iTrax300 and display the coordinates received from the module. The thesis deals with the GPS, localization principles and the standard communication protocol for navigation systems - the NMEA 0183 protocol. Futhermore it is dealing with the particular steps in the realization of the engineered device (from the specification of requirements at the beginning to the testing of its functionality in the end). The GPS coordinates, the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), the date, the altitude and the speed on the ground can be displayed. There is also a possibility to put in any coordinates, the direction and the distance to the point are displayed afterwards. The device enables the track storage in the memory as well. The track is viewable while connecting the device and the PC through the USB interface.
Optic disc segmentation in retinal images
