Experience of peer workers in the field of mental health care

The aim of our thesis is to describe and gain the best possible understanding of the experience of peer consultants in the field of mental health care. Additionally, it involves identifying essential phenomena that may arise during their mentioned experiences and carry stimuli suitable for further analysis. For these reasons, we chose a qualitative approach in conducting our research. Specifically, we opted for Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, which allows for a detailed focus on the form of experience of individual respondents and its nuances. The respondents consisted of three adult women and two adult men aged between 26 and 56. Each of them is employed as a peer consultant in either health or social services. We gathered data through semi- structured interviews, analyzing it on two levels. Firstly, we outlined and analyzed the experience of each respondent and its specific details. Secondly, we conducted an analysis of the themes that were common among the respondents, yet held analytical potential in relation to the studied phenomenon. The reconstruction of the life story of young adults being exposed to an adverse effect of their family

The thesis deals with understanding the interpretation of life story, important people and agency in life story of young adult being expose to an adverse effect of their family. The theoretical part is focused on life story and life story work, namely methods of create life story book. The thesis defined young adult in institutional and foster care, their needs and rights. The special chapter is life story work with traumatized children. The empirical part consist of analysis of four autobiographical narratives collected by the method of narrative interview, life story book and lifeline. The collected information are analysed with holistic-content, holistic-formal and categorical-formal analysis. This work includes feedback participants in research probe reconstruction of life story and life story work. At the conclusion of work are recommended other methods for further research.

The ninth stage of human development: narrative analysis of autobiographical interview Abstract The goal of the work is understanding how seniors give meaning to their experience. Theoretical and methodological bases are formed by the hermeneutic- narrative approach. Thesis is concentrated to the identity and a method how is the identity constructed in life stories. The empirical material consists of three autobiographical narratives collected by the method od narrative interview. For narrative analysis of the interview there are three different interpretive perspective used: Live motives, Ideological setting and Imagoes. The results of analysis are confronted with the concept of "The ninth stage of human development" whose authors are J. M. Erikson and E. H. Erikson. Heroes of the troubled children

The dissertation thesis points to a wide range of possibilities of therapeutic use with fairy-tale material and at the same time offers a concrete example of working with adolescents with educational problems. We worked with ten respondents, 5 boys and 5 girls who were clients of the Center for Educational Care. Based on the assumption that the fairy tale metaphor represents a non-threatening stimulus, the respondents were asked to formulate their own lives into a fairy tale. All participants were willing to work with a fairy-tale metaphor even on subjectively unpleasant topics, and in none of the stories did we encounter any significant resistance. The analysis of stories through Propp's morphology of the fairy tale brought a characteristic story of a child with an educational problem and at the same time proved to be a meaningful therapeutic tool. The analysis of the data through a narratively oriented approach inspired by McAdams and his identity as a life story yielded a demonstration of the identity of an adolescent with educational problems. An important outcome of the work is the evaluation of the internally experienced responsibility of this specific group of adolescents. Milos Sovak and the reeducation of the left-handen

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of left-handed retraining in the context of the research of Professor Miloš Sovák. It shows his contribution in this area and how he specifically contributed to the formation of teaching in the following years. The work is characterized by left-handedness, laterality. Examples of diagnostics of laterality of individual tests are given. In the theoretical part, the author also considers the breadth of the context of re-teaching not only the left-handed, where any violent re-learning can lead to consequences for life. In the practical part, a qualitative research was chosen, which is conducted on the basis of a semi-structured interview conducted with five respondents who answer open and closed questions about methods and approaches to their re-learning and their perception of the re- learning process. Research shows that there is no trait that is common to a smaller number of trainees, and therefore it is highly unlikely that there is a trait that would characterize a large group of trainees. Teaching as a second career

The thesis deals with the personality of a primary school teacher for which teaching is a second career. The theoretical part is focused on general demands placed on teacher's personality, defines the term 'second career teacher', describes professional development of a teacher, gives potential motivators influencing the choice to become a teacher and also briefly introduces the system of professional training of primary school teachers in Czech Republic and some other European countries. The aim of qualitative survey performed by deep semi- structured discussions with 5 teachers about their live stories was to answer the research question: "What is the second career teacher like?" By means of partial questions the survey has uncovered the reasons that brought those teachers to career change, which benefits and difficulties following their decision they perceived, which gains from previous profession they can use in their new teaching career. Finally, the thesis brings the point of view of the respondents on their studies at pedagogical faculty. The analysis of the data enabled to investigate the decision-making process about changing the career from non-teaching to teaching one and identify the key moments which can influence the decision. Integrity in seniors

This diploma thesis was focused on the study of integrity, its aspects, forms and resources in seniors, which we have identified as persons with a high degree of integrity based on established criteria. The aim of this work was to capture and understand the unique life experience of these seniors. The work consists of a theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part consists of explanation of concepts of integrity and old age, in particular we focus on Erikson's conception of integrity and concept of successful aging. The empirical part consists of qualitative research aimed at finding sources and manifestations of integrity in three unique life stories of seniors aged 75-91. We obtained data for our research in a home for the elderly through semi-structured interviews, which we then analyzed using the method of interpretative phenomenological analysis. The results are presented from two perspectives. The first is an analysis of the experience of individual seniors, the second represents the perspective of themes that are important for integrity and appeared in most of our respondents. These themes are: Activity, Moral Integrity, Trust - Acceptance - Surrender, Ways of Living, Modesty, Relationship Orientation and Spirituality.
