The proposal for place like the district of Poblenou is a great adventure. The blocks of the famous urban Plan Cerda closest inside in itself dramatic history of old industrial era, when they have called Barcelona " The Manchester Of Catalunya ". And here I ask myself the question. What does the word landscape in this environment? How to apply to old buildings and chimneys of the idea of the archetype of landscape? Is it just those elements that had nurtured almost all Catalunya? They can be roof now abandoned industrial buildings become something else? The new facade?A Sea? A Landscape ?

Changing in Place Identity of Two Working-Class Neighbourhoods in Kladno since the mid-20th Century: Podprůhon & Nové Kladno

The thesis focuses on the place identity of two working-class neighbourhoods in Kladno since the mid-20th century. It describes the historical development of all neighbourhoods in Kladno, but it analyses Podprůhon and Nové Kladno as prototypical examples. Although the two are close to each other, they have developed differently: Nové Kladno was transformed into a housing estate; Pod- průhon was left to its natural, gradual development. An essential part is a qualitative and quantita- tive research. It studies the people's relationship to both localities, the first impression of them, and whether the conclusions differ according to the respondents' ages. It exploits interviews with resi- dents and questionnaire survey with non-residents. The results are put in context with plans and artistic works, allowing for a detailed description of the identity of both localities. Nové Kladno has lost its identity due to its transformation and has not yet built a new one, while Podprůhon has re- tained its identity despite becoming an excluded locality in the 1980s. As there are many neigh- bourhoods with similar developments in Czechia since the mid-20th century, the interpretations from this thesis can be generalised as case studies of the industrial heritage transformations not only in Kladno. Artistic creation of the German artist Fritz Gärtner and his influence on the Northern Bohemian region

(in English): This thesis seeks to examine the state of the fine art in North Bohemia region at the turn of the 20th century. The period is dominated by romantic and realistic landscape art, which was also the domain of Fritz Gärtner. The thesis furthermore illuminates the life of German artists before and after the World War I in this region. The work focuses on Metznerbund group as it is considered the major movement among the German artists within the given period. Following chapters aim to illuminate the state of the fine art in North Bohemia region after the Second World War.The practical part of the thesis examines the life and work of a Sudeten German painter Fritz Gärtner: his early work from his hometown Ústí nad Labem, his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and his first considerable exhibition named Arbeit (Labor). The research provides us with new findings that complement previous findings from my bachelor's thesis, which was focused on interpretation of selected Gärtners paintings, resulting in a complete monography of the Sudeten German painter. The research was based on secondary literature concerning the fine art in North Bohemia region and provides a broad scale of new facts about the artistic creation and life of painters within fine art associations in the 20th century.

Transformations of Kladno in the Period of Industrialization and the Great Depression Key words: Kladno region, industrialization, The Great Depression, Poldi Hut, Kablo, railways, coal mines, historical geography, industrial landscape This bachelor thesis deals with the transformation of Kladno region since the second half of the 19th century to present. The main objective of this work is to evaluate the extent to which the Great Depression has affected the development of the mining and metallurgical center in Central Bohemia, the territory of Kladno region and society in this area. For this reason, much of the work is devoted to the development of the area from the second half of the 19th century to the economic crisis. The Kladno region has developed and expanded rapidly to the surrounding landscape, as it has become dominantly industrial due to social changes due to its originally agricultural area. The economic crisis manifested itself in the Kladno region in 1932. The settlements ceased to penetrate the surrounding landscape and support the families of the unemployed from urban budgets. Obnova krajiny postižené dlouhodobou těžbou nerostů a intenzivním osidlováním

Hodnotící zpráva je pouze dílčí zprávou, která bude dále doplňována a rozšiřována. Projekt bude zaměřen na konkrétní ucelenou oblast a výzkum orientován na poznání všech hlavních i zdánlivě podružných faktorů, které vlivem dlouhodobé, zejména povrchové těžby, navazujících průmyslových aktivit a hustého osídlení působí degradaci krajiny. Výzkum se zaměří na geologické, geochemické a hydrogeologické okolnosti vývoje "průmyslové krajiny". Z výsledků výzkumu by měly vyplynout možnosti celkové revitalizace krajiny, obnovy jejich přirozených funkcí a udržitelného využití krajiny při zachování jejího osídlení. Výsledky by měly být podány formou, která umožní začlenění konkrétních doporučených opatření do přípravy nové územně plánovací dokumentace.
