Hostitelská péče u dětí s nařízenou ústavní výchovou
DEJOVÁ, Natálie
The aim of my diploma thesis was to map the experience of employees of children's homes and further of children's homes with a school and host care. The partial goals were to find out the benefits and risks of the implementation of host care for children with compulsory institutional education. The theoretical part explained in detail the principle of functioning of social and legal protection of children in host care, the system of institutional and substitute host care, differences in the life of a child in a children's home and children's home with a school and the principle of host care. In the practical part, the results of my research were clearly processed, and the research question was answered, which was focused on the view of the workers of children's homes and children's homes with a school and host care. Partial research questions found out what positives and what negatives host care can have for children with compulsory institutional education. A qualitative research strategy was chosen for the research of this thesis and questioning with the technique of semi-structured interview was chosen as the method. The data analysis was performed by the clustering method. Subsequently, two other methods were used; the method of simple enumeration and the method of contrasts and comparisons. The research files were selected by deliberate selection. The research group consisted of 5 principals, 3 social workers and 5 educators of children's homes and children's homes with a school meeting the selection criteria. My research shows that the experience of host care is for all workers positive, even though everyone is aware of certain risks that host care entails. However, they agreed that the positives of host care prevailed. The main benefit of host care, as can be deduced from my research, is the possibility for the child to see and experience the functioning of a normal family within host care. The main risk of host care may include disproportionate attachment of the child to the host provider or vice versa and the associated disappointment of the child or host providers. The results of my research will serve as acknowledgment to all employees of institutional facilities who participated in my research, and the brochure created, will also serve to increase the awareness of people who are interested in this issue.

Korcová, Terezie ; Sotáková, Hana (advisor) ; Viktorová, Ida (referee)
1 ABSTRACT The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find the principle of host care of unaccompanied foreigner minors in the Czech Republic and describe its main benefits and drawbacks. The theoretical part summarizes the main characteristics of host care and describes the main benefit according to the authors of field literature. The empirical part of the work presents the results of a research survey, which took place in the form of semi-structured interviews with hosts whose families provide care to unaccompanied minors, as well as with a refugee aid organization which seeks to create a system of accompaniment, counselling and other elements that provide the necessary support and enable the treatment of potential risks. The analysis of the interviews shows that this system is currently planned in detail within the project of the mentioned non-profit organization and the individual parts of the project are gradually being implemented. From the comparison of the analysis of interviews with the literature, it is clear that the hosts need quality preparation and subsequent support, given that this form of care involves certain risks, both for minors and for the hosts themselves. At the same time, it is clear from the analysis that for both parties, host care means significant enrichment, especially thanks to the...
Exil on the brink of maturity
Vašíčková, Barbora ; Ezzeddine, Petra (advisor) ; Heřmanová, Marie (referee)
The intended work examines how the relationship between the unaccompanied migrants and the hosts is formed within foster care. Foster care could be defined as "long-term and repetitive contacts," where specific forms of relationship are negotiated between individual actors. I ask what activities and practices the actors make significant concerning the arrival, what ideas and imaginations on the part of the actors enter into the relationship, and how emotional rules are negotiated in a relationship. Last but not least, the work examines how the individual actors relate to the category of unaccompanied minors, that is, how this category, which has its legal definition, is negotiated. Key words: unaccompanied minors, foster care, family practices, emotional work, reflexivity

Semerádová, Lucie ; Válková, Monika (advisor) ; Krahulcová, Beáta (referee)
My dissertation work deals with substitute foster care. It's mainly focused on summary of changes in law in the current systém and their contribution to practice. The main goal was to map out the area of substitute foster care from the very first references of foundlings of Bohemia and Moravia. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters that include history, reason of changes from the UN to the amendment of laws and their implementation. Further I describe all forms of substitute foster care in Czech republic including financing and education of foster parents. The last chapter of theoretical part I focused on the substitute foster care system in the UK which is the model for a similar system in the Czech republic. The practical part is dedicated to qualitative research that tries by using the semi-structured interviews to find out how the mentioned changes work in praxis and how they affect the work of social workers and foster parents. The praxis shows that the amendment helps the healthy development of the child however the praxis lacks a coherent tools of social work to its proper fulfillment and functionality.

This thesis first introduces the theoretical background of host care, social and legal protection of children, and theories about the identity of the child. The initial chapters will deal with the principles of social and legal protection of children and characterize the available forms of family care. The third chapter is devoted to host care itself; defines it and its purpose in detail describes the so-called "hard-to-place" groups, for whom foster care is especially appropriate. Reference is made to the non-profit organizations that provide foster care and the process of service delivery is described. This research investigates the experiences and opinions of people who grew up in children's home. Analysis of discussions and conversations brought out some unexpected findings. We obtain views on the possible overuse of host care and also gain an understanding of the lives of children living in children's homes.
