TITLE Teaching the subject of health and safety education from 1918 to the present ABSTRACT Aims: The aim of this diploma thesis is to describe and compare the developmental tendency of teaching the subject of health and safety education in schools corresponding to the second stage of today's primary schools from 1918 to the present and to compare historical curricular documents with the current curricular document. The aim is to bring a comprehensive view of the issue of health and safety education in connection with the changes in our education over the last more than a hundred years. Methodology: A historical-comparative analysis based on a search of professional literature and an analysis of historical and currently valid curricular documents, textbooks and other sources were performed. Results: It was found that health and safety education occurs in curricula and textbooks to varying degrees in all research periods. It was also found out how and in what subjects it was taught in different political and time periods. The result was a comparison with previous and current curricular documents. Conclusion: It can be said that the teaching of health and safety education permeates the entire school system in the Czech lands in various intentions over the last hundred years. Dušan Foltýn ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis reviews the history of the borough Byšice in the last two centuries and attempts to assess the importance of the various epochs in the development of the community. The main body of the thesis examines its own history of the borough, the side lines represent the cultural history and the history of the village school in Byšice. All events are processed gradually in a chronological order. The role of various social groups in the history of the town is being examined, as well as the conversion of the urban village in the city. This bachelor thesis focuses on higher education in Germany from the view of Czechoslovak students. Time scope of the thesis is limited by years 1918 and 1933. It is based on archive files of Archiv Univerzity Karlovy and contemporary literature. The historical context is taken especially from two extensive monographs, namely Germania docet from Daniela Siebe and Die Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung und das Ausländerstudium in Deutschland 1925-1945 from Holger Impekoven. The aim of this thesis is a statistical conclusion of the number of Czechoslovak students who went to study in Germany in the given period of time. It also captures political, economical and study aspects of the studies in the Weimar Republic as well as the problems of the integration of Czechoslovak students in german surroundings. According to the studied sources it is necessary to consistently distinguish Czech and Slovak people on one side and German people at the other side. There were fundamental differences between these nationalities not only in the number of Czech and Slovak people traveling to Germany, but also in the way of intake by the local inhabitans. Name of the work: Religious Teaching Institute in Chrudim and its contribution to the girl's education in the years 1894-1942 This work describes girl's education in the Czech lands during the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century with emphasis on teachers' education and girl schools conducted by religious orders. The work contains a brief outline of the history of the Congregation of the School Sisters of St. Francis and its educational activities. Special attention is paid to one of its institutions, Teacher Training School in Chrudim, including its history, teachers and educational methods.
Premonstratensian Education in the Czech Territory in the 19th Century

Premonstratensian Education in the Czech Territory in the 19th Century This specific study contributes to the knowledge of the Order in our territory in the course of the 19th century and it explores the activity of the Premonstratensian in the schools established by them. The topic is approached in the broader context of the education of the examined era. The study explains the characteristics of the schooling and education organisation system as well, focusing on the specific problematic of religious schooling and education from various points of view. As part of the argument, the Order of Canons Regular of Prémontré is described and an evaluation of its educational activities in the course of all the history of the Order is provided. A significant part of the study is dedicated to the Strahov Abbey and its educational facilities, especially to the schools that were restored or undertaken by the Order in the researched period. The conclusive part characterises other schools run by orders in the territories of Bohemia and Moravia.
The fight for Reich's school law amendment in 1883 and the response in Czech press at the time

This thesis handles with the events concerning the school law amendment from 1883. It is well known that it was considerably controversial as well as regressive school policy in the Austrian Empire. This policy was aggressively fought over. One of the most prominent characters of the fights was František Tilšer - the only czech member of parliament that didn't vote for the reform. He became the target of incendiary press campaign. This thesis will briefly introduce the legislative developments of school law since the beginning of compulsory school attendance up until the aforementioned amendment. The core of this work lies in analysis of the given problematics in Czech and German period press. The text analysis deals with papers that present wide range of opinions: Národní listy, Politik, Bohemia and Čech. The thesis is thus a probe of political culture of the second part of the 19. century in the Habsburg monarchy as well. History of the development of elementary education Litvínovice from 1900 to 1989

The thesis focuses on the beginnings and historical development of elementary education in the village of Šindlovy Dvory between 1919 and 1950. It summarizes and analyzes available regional sources. The first chapter deals with the history of connected municipalities from 1259 to 1950. The following chapters are devoted to the emergence of a Czech school, the lesson planning, students´statistics, changes in the teaching staff, extracurricular activities, numerous celebrations, important events, collections and use of the school building. The thesis also examincs the influence of historical events and political changes on education.
Documents of the Charles University 1938-1945

Charles university, as the first czech university, had and still has its important place in society. Its history is as rich as history of Czech lands, which it in its way reflects. One of the turning moments was surely the Second World War, which hit hard the whole spectrum of society at that time. This thesis is looking at this period through the optics of diplomatics and it is trying to introduce topic of the day-to-day official agenda of the university and its faculties. This institution of higher education could not function without the office system in the background, since it provided administrative support for the framework of its activities. The administrative work of university officials consisted primarily of the production of records, especially official correspondence, as well as protocols of meetings or the issue of documents governing the course of the university. Its aim is primarily to find out to what extent this clerical life at the university background has survived the period after 17th of November 1939, when the schools in Bohemia and Moravia were closed by Nazi occupiers. The bachelor thesis first deals with the history of university history from the beginning to the liberation in May 1945.
