Práce se zabývá historií dívčího vzdělání v Českých zemích v 19. a první polovině 20. století s důrazem na řádové dívčí školy a na vzdělávání učitelek. Obsahuje stručný nástin dějin Kongregace Školských sester sv. Františka a jejího působení ve výchově a vzdělávání dívčí mládeže. Podrobněji pojednává o dívčím Pedagogiu, které tato Kongregace založila v Chrudimi, o jeho historii, pedagogickém sboru a vyučovacích metodách. Name of the work: Religious Teaching Institute in Chrudim and its contribution to the girl's education in the years 1894-1942 This work describes girl's education in the Czech lands during the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century with emphasis on teachers' education and girl schools conducted by religious orders. The work contains a brief outline of the history of the Congregation of the School Sisters of St. Francis and its educational activities. Special attention is paid to one of its institutions, Teacher Training School in Chrudim, including its history, teachers and educational methods.
