Obese adult people vs healthy lifestyle

This bachelor thesis is focusing on the topic of Adult obesity versus healthy lifestyle. The theoretical section explores the problematics of obesity. Specifically, its history, types, causes, prevention, illnesses it can cause as well as treatments of this condition. Additionally, attention was also given to the topics of a healthy lifestyle, healthy diet, and individual macronutrients. The practical part includes three objectives. The first goal was to summarize the literary review of obesity and healthy lifestyle of the adult population. The second aim was to compare the dietary composition of obese individuals and individuals with physiological weight. The last objective was to present a comparison of the eating habits of obese respondents and respondents with physiological weight. Subsequently, two research questions were stated. The first question: 'What are the differences in the dietary composition of obese individuals and individuals with physiological BMI?' and the second question: 'How physically active are obese individuals when compared to individuals with physiological weight?' The research sample was composed of ten obese individuals and ten individuals with physiological weight. Both groups were asked to complete an anonymous questionnaire. The answers were used to determine the physical activity and eating habits of both groups. To compare the diets of both groups, the Nutriservis profi software was utilised, analysing weekly diets provided by the respondents. The average values of nutrients consumed per week were compared to examine the differences between the research groups. According to the findings, most obese respondents are not eating periodically and exercise only occasionally. Conversely, individuals with physiological weight are eating regularly in the majority of cases and exercise 2-3 times a week. In respect to the dietary compositions, the obese individuals reported a higher average intake of protein and overall higher intake of energy than individuals with physiological weight.
Analysis of the quality of the food in the school canteen and verifying the possibilities of improving selected indicators costumer basket.

The diploma thesis deals with current problems in the field of school feeding in a selected school canteen. The main aim is to map out the situation in terms of the composition of the consumer basket in the school canteen and determine possible improvement in the individual components of the consumer basket. School feeding is a part of the educational process and follows up on the fulfilment of the school educational program. It is also an environment for non-formal education in terms of strengthening good eating habits and social interaction during eating. Students acquire social and psychological competencies for life when participating in school feeding. They draw on dietary important practical knowledge in the field of nutrition and also learn social behaviour in eating in a non-violent way. By obtaining the consumer basket of the given school canteen, possible deficiencies associated with better filling were surveyed over three years. The findings that show problems with some components of the consumer basket, such as pulses or quality fresh vegetables, are the output of the work. The results of the survey revealed that the cause of this problem is insufficient financial resources for the purchase of better quality, mainly fresh, food e.g. vegetables. The aim of the diploma thesis was to process the obtained data of a specific school canteen in Central Bohemia and analyze the individual components of the consumer basket in the years (2016 - 2018) furthermore, a comparison of the consumption of raw materials in the consumer basket with the consumption of the given raw material per person within the household consumption monitored by Czech Statistical Office. The theoretical part, in addition to information on the nutritional requirements for school children, describes the current official system of dietary control, based on the so-called consumer basket, which is based on established weight standards of individual food for appropriate age groups of children. The research group consisted of 773 pupils in the age range 6 - 15 years from a primary school in the Central Bohemian Region. The obtained data were processed graphically using basic statistical values.
Paleo Diet

Topic: Paleo Diet Objectives: The aim of bachelor thesis is to study available literature about Paleo Diet and evaluated it. Then determine whether there is awareness of Paleo Diet in Czech republic. In addition, find out whether there is any experience in dieting according to Paleo Diet and whether Paleo Diet coul be applied in our environment. Methods: As a source of information served a survey. The research group consists of respondents who should have any experience in dieting according to Paleo Diet. The results are presented by using frequency tables and charts using the functions in Excel or data analysis at www.survio.cz. Results: Some people in Czech republic have experience in dieting according to Paleo Diet and i tis positively evaluated. This was find out because of knowlegde from literature and information got from survey. Also physical aktivity has a important role and place in life style according to Paleo Diet. The applicability of Paleo Diet should not be a problém in our environment, all food stuff is available. Though Paleo Diet is not without controversy. At present there is a great development of information in this area, but this information is often improper and contradictory. Maternity centers with their programs, which are suitable for the development of health literacy. Since 1992, when the birth of the first in our maternity center has been a great development of these organizations. Now, the covering organization of Mothers' Centers Network, which has a motto on its website: "The hand that moves the cradle moves the world.", Brings together more than 330 maternity centers. This password can be transformed in a plane Health Literacy "Healthy Family = healthy society". Clients maternity centers become often the women already pregnant and traffic concerns mainly families with young children through grandparents, which is a suitable environment for primary prevention in a holistic approach to health. Nutritional Habits of Preschool Children in Vysočina Region

Title: Nutritional Habits of Preschool Children in Vysočina Region Annotation: I focus on the issues of eating habits of preschool children in my diploma project. Nowadays, this topic is very current due to increasing overweight and obesity of children, already in preschool age. The aim of this work is to summarize the knowledge of preschool children healthy eating, to emphasize the importance of child nutrition, draw attention to mistakes inflicted in child nutrition, and also point to the nutrition recommendations in this age. The integral part of this work is the specification of external influences and risks to a child in this field. At the same time, I mention some issues related to nutrition and eating habits that currently worry parents. The aim of an exploratory survey was to map the level of dietary habits of preschool children in the Region Vysočina. Project focusing on healthy lifestyle of preschool children

Project focusing on healthy lifestyles of preschool children According to the recent epidemiological examination has more than half the Czech population overweight. Overweight and obesity are associated with many serious health problems, higher mortality and significant are also high financial charges of their treatment. This thesis deals with a healthy life style and children's obesity issue. It's divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical chapters discuss about issues associated with health, nutrition, drinking regime, physical activity, relaxation, causes and consequences of children's obesity, food allergies and outline the principles of healthy nursery school. The practical part is about week project developing principles of a healthy life style. This inspiring instruction aims to take children and gently pull them to the topic and develop healthy living habits and attitudes. Due to the project realisation I was able to find out, that most pre-school children have acquired knowledge regarding healthy life style. However there are mainly parents, who are affecting food and leisure time their child, unfortunately not always in the right way.
Concept of health education in kindergarten

Concept of health education in kindergarten This thesis deals with the concept of a healthy lifestyle for preschool children and of health education in nursery schools. The first part of this work is the definition of "health" and individual determinants of health such as lifestyle, environment and health. The thesis deals with the various components of health education in kindergarten, the movement of children in kindergarten, nutrition, inner comfort and overall environment of the nursery school in the context of the Framework Curriculum for preschool education. The subject of research of this thesis is two-stage evaluation process and questionnaire, which is presented to teachers of kindergartens.
Eating habits of bank customer service representatives and their possible risks

The thesis of this work looks at sedentary job - using the example of bank advisers, their eating habits and physical activity - and possible health risks resulting from the sedentary lifestyle. Objective: To recognise eating habits of the bank advisers in ČSOB a.s., the degree of their physical activity and possible health risk evaluation. Research method: The research took place in the ČSOB a.s. branch network in the form of a survey, in which a questionnaire was distributed to bankers either in person or by e-mail. The sample consisted of 66 bankers, 40 of them were women and 26 men. Result: 56% of bankers surveyed are overweight or even obese, taking their MBI into consideration, 73% have gained weight after becoming bankers. 79% eat mainly at restaurants during their workdays, 24% have inadequate water consumption, 9% mention sugary drinks as their main source of water, 26% consume alcohol in higher than recommended amounts, 12% do not occupy themselves with any physical activity. The result has confirmed that sedentary jobs contribute significantly to weight gain and that bankers are among the groups in risk of possible development of civilisation-related diseases.
