Online Deduplication for Btrfs
A Hidden GNU/Linux File System
Pavlásek, Martin ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Lengál, Ondřej (advisor)
Some sensitive data need such a way of hiding that hides not only the content of the data but its preserve itself. The goal of this Bachelor's thesis is to create a file system that enables hiding of files with sensitive data to other files. This text contains an overview of principles used in current file systems and a description of the structure and use of the FUSE technology. Further, the work describes the design of a filesystem that hides files into ID3 tags of MP3 music files and it's implementation in C++. The created filesystem is experimentally assessed and evaluated.
Analysis of Private Information from FAT32
Križan, Lukáš ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to create an application which can search for and recover specific files in the file system FAT32, and subsequently extract sensitive information from these files. The first part of this thesis describes the principles underlying FAT32, and focuses on how the analysed applications store information. The second part outlines the application and describes its implementation and simulations.
Battery powered datalogger with CPU
Andrýs, Jiří ; Beran, Jan (referee) ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (advisor)
In this design are mentioned processes of power consumption reduction of battery-powered devices.Execution of a project is software SPI for MMC card and file system FAT16 without extension of VFAT (Virtual File Allocation Table) – LFN (Long File Names). Hardware design consists of boost power supply, linear stabilizer, external RTC (Real Time Clock), IRQ low power modul, interface for MMC (Multi Media Card) and circuits for RS-232, RS-485. There is either a design of analog measuring interface.
Monitoring interference in the mains supply
Jirčík, Zdeněk ; Kubánek, David (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
This semester thesis describes design of electronic device adapted to monitoring of mains supply. Theoretical parts describes mains supply analysis, communication and management of files to memory. Next part is design electronics blocks and their cooperation. There are description of mains analyzer prototype and it’s parts and functions. Prototype was submitted to test measurement.
Electronic attendance book
Nezval, Tomáš ; Macháň, Ladislav (referee) ; Šandera, Josef (advisor)
This Master’s thesis deals with analysis of available identification chips and the design electronic attendance book that these chips will use and store the measured information to a file on a memory card. One of the tasks is to compare different kinds of identification cards and chips, and select the most appropriate type for the implementation process. Additionally, the work described the FAT file system, which is used for data storage card.
The Design of a USB Device
Klír, Tomáš ; Strašil, Ivo (referee) ; Hudec, Antonín (advisor)
In theoretical part of this master thesis is analyzed USB 2.0 interface, including USB OTG. Mainly are described here properties which are good to know for USB device design. In brief is given here a structure of the FAT file system. Practical part contains design of OTG Device and it’s realization including implementation of libraries for communication via USB and for working with FAT file system.
Data deduplication for backup
Bernas, Karel ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with deduplication during backup issue. Easily forgettable from the "common user" perspective. But important for IT administrator. Deduplication is important mainly because of limited space for backups and computing power. Bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. In the first part the thesis describes deduplication, methods and tools of deduplication. In the second part, the backup systems with deduplication support. Issue objective is try to describe different procedures of deduplication and test suitability of different software. The thesis uses electronic data, program data and similar litarature. The main benefit of this thesis is showing deduplication as a problm to the general public and showing usability of different softwares.
Features and enhancements of Java 7
Staš, Jakub ; Pecinovský, Rudolf (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Michal (referee)
Nowadays there is wide variety of programming languages and platforms providing com-plex set of tools for software development -- from mobile and desktop applications up to server applications. Java is one of the most popular choices for software project develop-ment since many years. Many changes and improvements of the Java language occurred throughout 23 years of development of the platform. Current version brings many changes description of whom is considered to be beneficial not only for developers but also for the community around Java platform. This thesis covers the changes that were introduced in the release of Java 7. The thesis lists the short review of main historical events that happened since the beginning of the platform and analyses changes in libraries as well as describes syntactical changes. Primary focus is placed on the NIO (New I/O) library, whose current name is Non-Blocking I/O (NIO.2). Even though massive changes had occurred in this library, not many people actually noticed anything. This unfortunate situation is now described as a quiet revolution. Last but not least a description of changes in other libraries and Java Virtual Machine is presented.
Development of CMS Joomla extension supporting automatic XSLT
Fišer, David ; Hazucha, Andrej (advisor) ; Kosek, Jiří (referee)
The work is focused on extending the Joomla content plugin - XSLT Magic - written by Bc. Michal Vrchnota. This plugin was developed as a part of the SEWEBER CMS project. The main purposes of this plugin are XSLT transformations of articles made up from XML documents. One of the main reasons for creation of this work was the increasing number of transformations and their unsolved management. Another reason was bad controllability of this component and the lack of admin interface. The extension made up as a part of this work allows users to effectively manage XSLT transformations. Users will be able to look into the directory, where the transformations are being stored directly throught the CMS Joomla system. This wasn't possible up to now, because the the CMS system in its basic version lacks the component to manage files. Additionaly, users will be able to upload files into these directories and create new sub-directories. Looking into the transformations will not be a problem anymore, users will even be able to edit them in a simple text editor with marked XML syntax. Second part of the extension is focused on the administration of the original content plugin. The configuration has been made easier, so selecting transfomation to the XPath rule is simplier and users now can select the transformation from a list. This work can be used as an inspiration in creating new extensions for CMS Joomla.
