Value Orientation of High School Students

My thesis is focused on research of values and value orientation of high school students. Concurrently is explored the degree of frustration tolerance on the basis of Rosenzweig Picture - Frustration Study. The research has the forme of a questionnaire which has been proposed to the students of the High schools in Prague. The aim of the thesis is determine which values are important for the contemporery young people and to what extent the values have the influence on their behavior in the stressful life situations. The theoretical part is focused on definition of certain terms which are relating to the topic. The exploration of values in the past is describing further in all with the explanation of the principle of Rosenzweig Picture - Frustration Study. In the practical part of the thesis are analyzed the results of this research study in details. The results are statistically illustrated and they are also listed the most frequent and the most interesting answers of the participants.
Interviewer's competencies in working with narrator's traumatic life memories: psychotherapeutic approaches in oral history practice - possibilities and limits

This diploma thesis is working with the method of grounded theory and aims by means of interdisciplinary synthesis contributing to the enrichment of values for researchers practicing the method of oral history, who's become its current representatives. Diploma thesis that is based on the premise that connection of historical sciences and psychologies or practical psychotherapy (which have a certain ethical-moral appeal and have a broader knowledge of the human soul) could be enriching for the practice of oral history. Research of psychological and psychotherapeutic approaches to the practice of oral history is not just a theoretical self-synthesis, but the work is enriched by practical experiences from clinical practice of auxiliary specialists (psychologists and therapists), who were asked about theoretical questions firstly, then about few questions about trauma presence in typical interviews with four narrator. Narrator`s participate in project "Memory of the Nation" and it is possible to assume potential existence of trauma inside them - looking at their life experiences. Entitled diploma thesis one by one acquaints its readers with current appearance of ethical education in religious lessons in the Czech Republic. It is divided into several chapters, each of them tries to solve specific problem. The thesis is closed by interviews with teachers of religion in church schools, thus opinions in a conlusion are justified.
Ethical Dilemmas That Czech Journalists Face When Reporting on Medicine

The diploma thesis deals with the work of Czech health journalists. The main aim is to find out how they perceive their work. The author opens the first part by explaining some basic concepts of journalistic theory, such as news values and gatekeeping. She also deals with the definition of medicine and health journalism, with the relationship between medicine, the media and society, and draws attention to the issues that arise from informing about these topics. She attempts to clarify some problematic areas related to new scientific discoveries in which journalists may be mistaken. The next part of the diploma is the analysis of semi-structured interviews with Czech health journalists. The author focuses not only on their journalistic routines in the analysis, but also on importance of education, identifying the barriers of their work and ethical dilemmas they face.
The incidence of burnout syndrome in nurses in selected hospital wards.

This diploma thesis deals with the occurrence of the syndrome of burnout in nurses. The main objectives of this work is to determine the incidence of burnout among nurses in selected hospital wards and selected hospitals. In the theoretical part of the thesis is described the profession of nurses, burnout and the possibilities of its prevention. In the practical part I describe the goals, objectives, hypotheses and methodology of my work. Research investigation, implement it through a standardized questionnaire, the Maslach Burnout Inverters, which is designed for the monitoring of the burnout syndrome in the exposed occupations in the hospital in České Budějovice, Písek and Strakonice. The data obtained evaluating the statistical method of chi square test, which I will verify pre-established hypotheses of work. The obtained results are evaluated and interpreted.
Euthanasia - Yes or No?

This thesis deals with the question of euthanasia, especially its concept in the book Good death? of Hans Küng. First chapter contains definition of euthanasia. I describe term euthanasia and its forms. Second chapter presents history of euthanasia from ancient times to modern times and also the way how euthanasia is understood today. Third chapter deals with palliative and hospice care. Further are mentioned some arguments for and against legalization of euthanasia. In the last chapter is analysed the book of Hans Küng who consider euthanasia as dignified end of human life.
Ethical dilemmas of process transformation of residential social care facility

The thesis deals with ethical dilemmas that the author identified during the process of transformation of residency social care facilities. The aim of the work is to theoretically describe dilemmas identified and subsequently outline the procedure for their solution. The aim of the core part of the work, where is selected dilemma discussed using two ethical theories, is to point out the way these theories can help to solve the ethical dilemmas. The work is divided into five parts, the first of which defines the concepts, the process of transformation and the specifics of the target group of persons with mental disabilities. In the second part emphasises the role of the social worker in dealing with ethical dilemmas and the author generally deals with ethical problems and dilemmas from several points of view and addresses the question of responsibility of a social worker for the ethically-based decision in the specific situation of transformation. The third section describes the specific ethical dilemmas that have been identified during the transformation process, including identifying possible solutions. In the fourth part is the one selected ethical dilemma discussed with the aid of two ethical theories, deontology and consequentialism. In the final fifth part, the discussion, is thinking about benefits and the real possibilities of using ethical theories in social work practice and their meaningful link.
Using web pages audit for Competitive Intelligence

This thesis is focused on thorough description of Competitive Intelligence term and its fol-lows usage for webpages audit. The practical part of this thesis is primarily created for the Bisnode company. However, it can be used everyone who wants to perform on-line webpages analysis of their competitors. In thesis are also used professional tools of Majestic company and SEOPowerSuite company. I got these for limited time after my e-mail corre-spondence with company´s support team. At the beginning of practical section the Bisnode company is introduced to readers, so that they might become familiar with it. After that, the analysis was performed and divided into 4 thematic areas based on Bisnode´s wish. I ana-lyzed strengths and weaknesses of monitored sites in each of this section so that the company can learn not only from their mistakes but also from mistakes of its rivals. I tried to analyze Competitive Intelligence term in detail in the theoretical part of thesis. In addition, this term is viewed from multiple angles (its history, reflection of its Czech trans-lation, ethic associated with the CI term or description CI as process). So, this thesis can be also a beneficial for readers that know this term but want get deeper knowledges.
JEWISH HEROINES IN ARNOŠT LUSTIG'S WORK

The Main goal of this thesis is the comparison of fates of the Jewish heroes in the Second world war. I will compare five selected proses written by Arnost Lustig. My focus will be on the fates of the Jewish women during the second world war and how this extreme experience affected their characters and moral believes. The source of the thesis will be the listed primary literature, which was selected to show the uniqueness and individuality of so strong experience, which the second world war and holocaust definitely was. Concurrently, it demonstrates the fact that under influence of their shared fate, are the heroes of the stories in many ways very similar. I will also focus on the questions regarding the dignity and morality and how the Jewish woman deals with their lost of personal and life assurances.
Influence of existencialism on education

The theme of this thesis is to describe the development of the philosophical basis for the emergence of existentialism by Jean-Paul Sartre and subsequently explore this philosophical model. Then the work proceeds to the thought experiment and creates an outline of the teacher's competence, which would include the philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre. The basic question, which this thesis should answer, is whether it is possible to apply a philosophical approach of existentialism, especially early philosophy of Jean-Paul Sartre, as it was presented in the lecture (called) Existentialism is a Humanism, into the school environment with the aim to improve the possibilities of education and thus uplift the teacher's working outside the official curriculum standard.
