Czech language in deaf children's lower secondary education

Presented bachelor's thesis is focused on problems of teaching of Czech language to deaf and hard of hearing students on lower secondary education. The first part of the thesis provides general description of hearing impairment, communication options for deaf and hard of hearing people and basic information on educating deaf and hard of hearing pupils. Next part is focused on teaching of Czech language to deaf and hard of hearing pupils containing listing of available materials, description of differences between educating a pupil who prefers Czech language in communication and pupil who prefers Czech Sign Language. It also define language competencies in written speech of deaf and hard of hearing pupils. The goal is to call attention to very small number of universal research works focused on language competencies of deaf and hard of hearing pupils, pinpoint the current deprivation of teaching materials for pupils who prefer Czech language in communication and prepare a suitable worksheet for pupils who prefer Czech languege based on the gain knowledge.
Comparison of systems of education in the Czech Republic and in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Nothern Ireland focused on education of foreign languages on secondary schools

The bachelor thesis deals with the theme of comparison of systems of education in the Czech Republic and in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland with focus on education of foreign languages at secondary schools. The systems of education of both countries are introduced and compared in terms of framework educational programme and National curriculum. The work with terminology is also pointed out by translation of technical terms into the Czech language. The practical part is focused on a lesson plan with the aim to present the differences of Czech and British system of education to the pupils of the ninth class. The thesis includes an insertion of the lesson plan to the Methodical portal RVP.CZ as a sample lesson of a cross- sectional theme of Multicultural education.
The use of mobile devices during the instruction at lower secondary schools

The aim of this work si determine the situation in lower primary school regarding to use of mobile devices in the classroom. I am showing with help of multiple case studies approach schools in South Bohemian Region to mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets. Exploration was conducted between author of thesis and teacher in a one of the schools. At the end of interviews, the data are available. That I earns in the form of text or primary (with contest of the teacher) in audio form for greater authenticity. From collected information was further determine that if in a reality is that limitation used. After that, it was comparison of this provision with rules of school (that school rules I'm able to know). Another benefits of factors that make teacher's decision were discovery. In the teheoretical part, on examples of appropriate I'm showing use of mobile devices in education. Everything is based on information collected from the practical part or from the knowledge gained from literature.
Modern technology from the viewpoint of a secondary school teacher (from 6th grade to 9th grade)

In my bachelor thesis I deal with taking advantage of using modern technology, as about important form of modern education, and how often do teachers involve modern technology in education in general. I concern myself with different types of modern technologies, their usage and how they can be engaged into education. Among other issues, I mention also educational projects "Vzdělávání 21" or "Škola dotykem" which pursue using modern technologies in teaching. I speak also about on-line technology which is an indivisible part of modern technology in common. I compare advantages and disadvantages of engaging these technologies into tuition and I try to present a comprehensive view on this issue. Method section concentrates on the results from the research questionnaire where I mostly investigated the relationship between the teacher and modern technology. I asked schoolteachers whether these technologies are supportive of them or they are just an obstacle in educational process, which technologies are they familiar with and if the teachers actively use the technology in their classes. Nevertheless, research questions included the viewpoint on how the technology determines some of the characteristics of the pupils in class.
The Comparison of Adjectives in Russian and English Languages

TITLE: The Comparison of Adjectives in Russian and English Languages AUTHOR: Marika Zemánková DEPARTMENT: Department of Russian studies and language teaching methodology SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Lenka Havelková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of adjectives in Russian and English languages. Theoretical part provides characteristics of this part of speech and highlights some differences between Russian and English. Language typology clarifies particularly features which are typical for synthetic and analytical languages. The second chapter is concerned with an overview of possible classifications of adjectives where these classifications are organized according to syntactical, morphological and semantic point of view. Practical part is devoted to the comparison itself. To attain clear arrangement, rules for the creation of comparative and superlative adjectival forms are described for each language separately. The main facts about comparison in both languages are then compared in the last chapter of the bachelor thesis. Sport games in the physical education at secondary school

Physical activities are an important part of the life. Therefore this bachelor thesis is focused on sport games because they are one of the most popular physical activities. The main aim of this thesis was analysis of utilization of sport games in the Physical Education (P.E.) at secondary schools. The following partial aims were analysis of pupils and teachers attitude to sport games, their motivation, the way of teaching sport games at school, analysis of playing sport games in free time and to find out if schools are involed in a process of finding talented pupils. This thesis was divided into theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part is focused on defining the sport games, describing the national education programme, the role of teacher and to describe the P.E. lesson. The following practical part is describing the research, methods and results. The research was based on questionnaire survey at secondary schools in Prague. The questionnaire was completed by 283 pupils and 19 teachers. It was find out that sport games were favourite by pupils and teachers and therefore sport games were played a lot in P.E. New school buildings are designed out of area of Black Meadow in Ostrava but with very close connection with the park. This plot is situated between the river Ostravica, Black Meadow and planned living area New Karolina. It´s orientation to the south and the proximity of nature it´s also very important for the school buildings. Elementary school, secondary school , gym and kindergarden are designed as one komplex connected with platform opened to the river.
The ideal teacher in the accordance with the pupils of the elementary school.

The diploma thesis is focusing on the topic of the ideal teacher and its viewing by students. The thesis is tracking the differences between pupils' perception and the theory basis; there are also described differences between girls and boys and their perception. The goal of the thesis is finding out how students imagine the ideal teacher. The thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the requirements for the teacher's job and then there are competences of teachers that are necessary for this job and are the important for reaching the state of the ideal teacher. The theoretical basis is fundamental for the following comparison with outputs of the practical part of the thesis. The practical part of the thesis presents the data that were gained by the questionnaire that was distributed in two primary schools on their upper level. The questionnaire shows preferences of pupils about the issue of the ideal teacher and his or her characteristics.
Education of Children of Foreigners at Lower Secondary School in the Czech Republic

The number of foreigners moving to the Czech Republic has been raising in the past decade. Education of foreigners' children at lower secondary school is inevitable, because this level is obligatory for children aged six to fifteen, or eighteen in some cases. The aim of this thesis is to focus on education of foreign children at lower secondary level and to survey educational material provided by organizations. These materials should be helpful when integrating foreigners or teaching about migration. The practical part is a case study in which there is everything about how the particular school works with foreigners. The approach of teachers to these children is also illustrated there. The thesis reveals whether the teachers are ready for teaching foreign children who speak different mother tongue; it also evaluates the contribution of the school to integrating the children to the society.
