The job content of teaching assistant in distance learning

The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of teaching assistants during distance learning in primary schools. The declaration of a state of emergency in March 2020 created a completely new situation for teaching staff that they had to deal with. In this work, the content of the work of teaching assistants in this period will be monitored, the support of children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds by these teaching staff and, last but not least, the changes that took place among teaching assistants after the return to traditional face-to-face teaching will be mentioned.
Výuka výchovy k občanství a základů společenských věd během pandemie covid-19

Between 2020 and 2021, the whole world was dealing with a coronavirus pandemic that had a major impact on education. An unprecedented number of pupils and students found themselves in distance learning for which they were unprepared. The purpose of this paper is to determine what impact distance education has had on the teaching of civics and social studies. In the beginning of the thesis, the concept of key competences will be discussed and the quality of teaching of civics and social studies during traditional face-to-face teaching will be analysed. In the next part of the thesis, the course of the pandemic in the Czech Republic and its impact on the whole educational system will be analysed in detail. In the final part of the thesis, the author will try to answer the question whether it is possible to teach these subjects fully during distance education and will investigate the experience of distance learning of teachers of these subjects in České Budějovice.
Distance education for children with special education needs from the perspective of teachers

The thesis analyses the methods and forms of education during and since distance learning for pupils with special educational needs in inclusive primary schools. The theoretical part defines the system of education of pupils with special educational needs in the Czech Republic. It describes the specifics of education of pupils with special educational needs in different types of disadvantages and defines distance education in general, including the implementation of digital technologies. A questionnaire was chosen as the method for data collection. On the basis of the existing information and unstructured interviews with teachers, a questionnaire for teachers and school special educators of primary schools was designed. The questionnaires were distributed in three regions of the Czech Republic. The research survey answered questions on distance education of pupils with special educational needs and on methods used since distance education based on the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on the results and analysis of the questionnaire survey, appropriate methods and programs for education of pupils with special needs and both face-to-face and distance education were proposed. Using of verbal assessment by primary school teachers after distance learning

The diploma thesis deals with the use of verbal assessment by primary school teachers before and after distance learning. It is primarily focused on finding out whether and how distance learning has influenced the use of verbal assessment by primary school teachers. The theoretical part of the thesis is concerned with an explanation of the basic terms of the topic, in particular: evaluation, school evaluation, school evaluation in the context of legal standards, verbal evaluation, materials for verbal evaluation, legislation of the verbal evaluation, distance learning, recommendations for distance learning and reference for assessment during distance learning. In the practical part, an analysis of three research studies, which were carried out using the methods of two consecutive questionnaire surveys, was implemented. One questionnaire survey was carried out in 2020 and the other in 2023. In addition, interview methods were used with teachers of the primary school first grade. The surveys were aimed at obtaining the necessary data to analyse the use of verbal assessment by first-grade teachers before and after distance learning. A comparison of teachers' attitudes towards qualitative and quantitative assessment before and after the Covid-19 pandemic

The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze a sample of 46 Czech first-grade pedagogues, whether there was a change in their perspective on verbal assessment after distance learning due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This work is divided into two parts. The introductory part of the first, theoretical part contains information from scientific publications regarding the concept of assessment in general, its functions, its types and forms. In the next part, the theoretical part deals with quantitative and qualitative assessment with an emphasis on their influence on the student's motivation. In the second, practical part, I compared the results of 2 researches carried out by me in the form of a questionnaire. One was implemented in 2020 and the second, enriched with 2 update questions, was implemented in 2023 on the same sample of respondents. The conclusion of the thesis contains the answer to the question posed at the beginning of my diploma thesis. From the data collected from my 46 respondents, it appears that educators' views on verbal assessment did not change significantly after distance learning during the Covid-19 pandemic, although there was a slightly more positive perception of verbal assessment.
Changes in pedagogical communication between teachers and students as a result of the coronavirus pandemic

This bachelor's thesis deals with changes in pedagogical communication between teachers and pupils as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. In 2020, the pandemic caused by the Covid-19 virus affected the entire world, including the Czech Republic. In March 2020, Czech schools succumbed to the nationwide order to close schools and were forced to start distance education, which required a completely different method of communication than face-to-face. The bachelor's thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part explains basic concepts related to interpersonal communication, analyses communication in the pedagogical environment, i.e. between teachers and pupils. It also describes the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on Czech education, the course of distance learning and types of digital technologies that were used at that time. The practical part is focused on a mixed research investigation that will reveal what changes in pedagogical communication between teachers and pupils have occurred as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The chosen methods of data collection are a questionnaire survey that will be carried out among pupils and a semi-structured interview with selected teachers.
Specifics of distance learning in a small village school

This thesis deals with the specifics of distance education at a small village school from the perspective of teachers in the 2020/2021 school year and the forced closure of schools as a result of the global Covid 19 pandemic. In the theoretical part of the work, it is based on the available literature that deals with distance education, and also on the investigation of the Czech School Inspectorate. The work defines the concepts associated with distance learning, its forms and methods, the content of education and its changes during distance learning, the use of digital technologies and points out the pros and cons of distance learning. Considering that the research takes place at a small village school and is dedicated to distance learning at a small village school with a focus on its specifics, the thesis contains a chapter dedicated to small village schools. This chapter deals with the concept of countryside and village, points out the social and cultural aspects of the countryside and explains the concept of small class and rural school. The empirical part is processed as a case study of one particular village school with a small number of pupils and teachers.
