Jůza, Štěpán ; Blasinski, Petr (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis describes the design of air conditioning in space for the depository. The device is design to provide a suitable microclimate for storage a local mixed collections. The main task of the equipment is ensure a constant temperature and relative humidity in area depositary. Depositary space is served by one air handling unit, which is part of the proposed project. The theoretical part solves different kinds of inventory and their storage requirements. Calculation and project part contains design of air-conditioning units for operate depository. The result of this work is the detailed design work of this equipment.
Archive+
Šana, Václav ; Hora, Jan (referee) ; Kristek, Jan (advisor)
The proposal deals with the architecture archive concept on a wider social scale. The goal is to treat the information as a certain relative value, when the individual spaces are conceived with emotional surprise. There is a controlled collision between old and new approaches where attractive spaces serve purely rational mechanical systems. A person going through the archive should perceive emotional experiences and, after leaving the archive, perceive information in a more complex way.
Ventilation of the archive
Hudeček, František ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Hejčík, Jiří (advisor)
Ventilation systems for depositories have certain specifics. Their main objective is to provide safe environment for preserving unique cultural or other valuable objects that are being stored for extensive time periods. The economical aspect of the operation should be taken into ac-count and the ventilation system adjusted accordingly. This project also incorporates ventila-tion of secondary areas. Ventilation system is subsequently assessed in terms of indoor air quality (CFD simulation) and energetic requirements (program TRNSYS). Air quality in depositories is evaluated using age of air parameter. The qualitative and quanti-tative outcomes are obtained. Possible measures are then suggested to improve the air quality. The objective of energy simulation is to evaluate overall energy required for a year of opera-tion of main air handling units. In addition, estimation of energy requirements for heating and cooling are made for the whole building. The results are compared and more simulations are carried out in order to lower overall energy consumption.
Environment of archives
Onderek, Aleš ; Počinková, Marcela (referee) ; Rubinová, Olga (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the way inventories are stored in depositories. Later on, it develops a project of the air-conditioning system in the archive. The last part of the thesis deals with an experiment which examines the interior environment of the depository.
Draft inventory and cataloging of stored samples Chlupáč's museum of Earth History
Drahný, Stanislav ; Mazuch, Martin (advisor) ; Ekrt, Boris (referee)
Abstract For Chlupáčovo muzeum historie Země (Chlupač's museum of Earth History) is prepared many changes in the near future. Most of them should be combined with parts of the deosit. This work was written as a guide, which could be taken into account for these variations. It should sere as a fully functional guide to the new tagged artefacts, a new systém of storage of these items and their ease of traceability of storage space. There are also compared to similar institutions dealing with these issues and describe their...

Main topics of management are: 1) Property management within the technical, organizational, economical and legal meaning. The subchapters formulate individual segments of various activities such as cultural and administrative assets evidence, employment relations, bookkeeping and budgeting. 2) Property safeguarding from securing it against theft to monitoring the artefacts microclimatic conditions. 3) Rehabilitation and maintenance of entrusted property especially emphasizing the realization of preventive solutions and providing a day-to-day care that results in continuity of historical values, methods and authenticity and in the end also significantly decreases the cost of maintaining the physical essence of the monument. 4) Presentation of cultural values to public, transmission of research outcomes and strengthening the cultural identity of society towards its history and values. The end of the text includes a crucial chapter focusing on planning and formulating of visions and conceptions of maintenance of concrete heritage areas. This part is extremely crucial as it is often overlooked. Sometimes from intellectual reasons but usually from a lack of time that is dedicated to operative solutions of concrete problems without an overall conception. These partial solutions are isolated with no linkup between them. The methodology urges the mangers to focus on conceptual activities and planning that will pay off in a long run.

South Bohemian sacral architecture of the late Gothic 1450 - 1550 in the Rosenberg domain
Lavička, Roman ; Kuthan, Jiří (advisor) ; Jarošová, Markéta (referee)
South Bohemian sacral architecture of the late Gothic1450 - 1550 in the Rosenberg domain Mgr. Roman Lavička A group of late-Gothic churches, which keeps attracting our attention, was built in the Rosenberg domain during the reign of the Jagiellon dynasty. Limited archival material, results of dendrochronologic analyses and preserved buildings suggest that it was mainly building maintenance that was in progress in the Rosenberg domain in the second half of the 15th century. In the early 1480s the building of the new pilgrimage church in Kájov (1471/1474- 1485) was coming to its end. And it was only then that big town parish churches in Trhové Sviny, Dolní Dvořiště, Hořice na Šumavě, Chvalšiny and Nové Hrady started being rebuild or constructed anew almost simultaneously. Around 1485 almost twenty religious buildings were being built in the Rosenberg domain. They reflect the increasing economic prosperity and self-confidence of the town and village municipalities, corporations as well as individuals manifesting their wealth, success and strength. From a formal and ideological point of view it is possible to trace down a group of related buildings directly in this initial phase. They were probably designed by a single architect who is referred to as Master of Hořice presbytery. However, around 1495 we can...
Cooperative Storage Library Switzerland (CSLS): sharing of content and resources – providing quick and modern services
Tschirren, Daniel ; Grossgarten, Astrid
In the Speicherbibliothek/CSLS libraries of ZHB Luzern, UB Basel, ZB Zuerich, UZH Zuerich and St. Gallen University Library store parts of their holdings. Storage room is tight and expensive in the cities and holdings are growing faster than sorting out of duplicates is being made. A centralized storage unit in a rural area with good traffic connection seemed a logical solution. In 2016 the Speicherbibliothek came into gear. It is build and equipped like a modern high density fully automated storage unit. With regard to monographs and anthologies the stored items belong still to the giving library and still appear in their catalogue system. These items are the so called individual stock of the partners and can be borrowed. With regard to journals things are different. Most of them are now part of the so called collective stock. The goal is a complete series of a stocked journal title. In case of a user request to copies out of a journal the pages will be copied and sent via a workflow system either to the reader or a library. The journal volume itself will not leave the storage unit anymore. The partners of Speicherbibliothek use the same workflow system (MyBib eDoc®) to manage and monitor their lending processes. In the background this system routes the incoming lending or copy requests from the library patrons to CSLS and manages the automated delivery of scanned pages. In addition to the above described outlines the presentation will include following aspects: Restrictions of copyright, Conservational issues, Deduplication (virtual and physical), Visibility of stored items in the catalogue and for the user/impact on requests, Financial aspects vs. librarian wishes
