The German Energiewende: Consensual Process ?

This bachelor thesis examines two very important subparts of the German energy revolution called Energiewende, specifically the level of consensus of the population with the costs of the whole transformation reflected in rising electricity prices and the necessity of expanding and building new power grid sections. The coalition government of SPD and the Greens, which led the state in years 1998-2005 started the whole process by announcing the nuclear phase-out of German Federal Republic and by implementing a renewable energy law (Erneubare Energien Gesetz, EEG) that serves as an instrument through which the renewable energy sources are being subsidized. The law lays all the burden on the final consumer, namely the households and companies, through an electricity surcharge. This surcharge has increased significantly since the year 2000, making the German electricity prices the highest in Europe. Thanks to its massive support, the number of renewable energy sources has risen to a rate, for which the transmission system operators were not prepared. It is obvious that in order to successfully continue with the Energiewende, the power grid has to be expanded. The influence of Dayton Peace Agreement on the ethnicity of Bosnia and Herzegovina after the civil war in 1990s

The main topic of this Bachelor thesis is political and economical development in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) after the Dayton Peace Agreement (DPA) was implemented. The primary aim of the thesis is to find an answer to the research question, whether DPA helped tighted the cooperation between ethnical groups (or nations), which initially drove the country into a bloody civil war. The analysis of BiH political parties programmes and fullfillment of strategies and plans of international organizations on a state level as well as macroeconomical indicators (unemployment, GDP), private foreign investments are the way to achieve so. It is apparent from the conclusion that it is not possible to implement a political system from western Europe into a western Balkan country without the latter democratically voting for it, did not go through historical or constitutional development with its political elites pursuing only regional interests.

Development Funding of Czech Social Services before and after 1989

This thesis deals with basic conditions and creation trends in pursuit of increasing effectivity in funding of social services in the Czech republic. Said trends are distinguished as generally apparent, latent and those followed by decision making government body for administration purposes and in pursuit of sustainability. Time period before 1989 is described mainly as socio-political background for social services funding are based. This thesis is processed as a descriptive and analytical study.

Comparison of Hans Kung and his work Global Ethics with the Civil Religion

This Diploma Thesis deals with two universalistic conceptions, represented by the Swiss Catholic Theologist Hans Küng and his work Global Ethics, and the Civil Religion. In the first part of my text, I bring in the personality of Hans Küng, his work, ideas and the book Global Ethics which received great acclaim on international forum, Churches and society. Küng draws up three basic theses: No world peace without peace among religions. No peace among religions without dialogue between the religions. No dialogue between the religions without accurate knowledge of one another. These theses express the need for a dialogue, being able to formulate viable visions of the future. In the second part of my work, I introduce a less known notion of the Civil Religion with its transformations and development throughout the history. It is a concept exceeding the border of sociology, political science, philosophy and theology, examining the formative processes of the society and its religious reference speech. It penetrates the academic discourse especially in the period between the 1960s and 1980s, as represented e.g. by the American sociologist Robert Bellah. Consensus and commercial terms: theoretical and comparative analysis This final thesis deals with the topic of the battle of the forms using the theoretical apparatus of rules governing the formation of contract. The problem is modeled (and therefore limited) for the case of formation of contract for the sale of goods concluded between merchants when each of them uses his/her own commercial (standard) terms. Another limitation of the thesis is connected with the use of classical contractual paradigm which is based on the continuity of offer and acceptance in the process of contracting. The key element of contract is found in consensus, therefore it is consensus which is analyzed in connection with extensiveness of terms, about which the minds have to meet in order to form the contract, and also in connection with the content of already formed contract. The final thesis has two objectives. First, it is to verify on theoretical level that no matter what principle in the process of formation of contract is used (whether mirror-image rule or not) both law professionals and legal theory are forced to find solutions which are in accordance with the principle of economic analysis of contract. The British Conservative Party in the 1950s: Continuity or Change?

In this bachelor thesis the author will focus on the analysis of the activity of British Conservative Party in the 1950s. In particular he will study a reaction of Conservatives on the failure in the general election in 1945, the Party's reforms and revival and victorious elections in 1951. Further author will focus on the analysis of functioning of the Conservatives as a Party-in-Government, i.e. on the analysis of the realization of the election programme of the Tories, on their approach to the Welfare State made by the Labour Party and to Labour Party itself, on the analysis of the government's activities in home and foreign affairs, and last but not least on the analysis of the causes and consequences of achievements in elections in the 1950s.

TITLE: Assumptions of consensual communication between pupil in puberty and his teacher ABSTRACT: Communication between the pupil in the period of adolescence and his teacher is mainly influenced by pupil's fase of development and specific features of school environment. The assumption of consensual communication is to know these types of influence and to choose our modes of behaviour accordingly. Interviews with adolescent pupil's proofed the theory mainly that the pupil's need rules and boundaries which the adults should observe consistently and they should let step by step the adolescents make the decisions and allow them to be independent. Development of Meta-Server for Prediction of Mutations Effects on Protein Function

This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of genomic data, more specifically prediction of effects of mutations on protein function using a protein sequence or tertiary structure. The theoretical introduction describes the basics of genetics and bioinformatics and is followed by description of selected prediction tools such as SIFT, MAPP and AUTO-MUTE. A unified interface for work with different tools is proposed in the thesis. The meta-server interface allows running a computation and collecting results from one site. meta-server combines results of implemented tools and provides a consensual prediction, which is expected to be more accurate than the results from individual tools. Finally, testing of meta-server on the real data and comparisons of predictions with the experimentally obtained results are presented.
