Weil differentials
Väter, Ondřej ; Drápal, Aleš (advisor) ; Šťovíček, Jan (referee)
This thesis focuses upon how to calculate local components of Weil differentials of an elliptic function field. Because Weil differentials constitute a one-dimension vector space then one Weil differential is fixed. An algorithm calculating a local component is developed for the fixed one. The first algorithm computes local components of places of degree one. It is based upon elementary properties of local components. The definition of the Weil differential does not say enough about why it is defined in this way and about why it is useful. Thus there is the relationship between the Weil differential and some objects from complex analysis like the Laurent series and the residue. It provides a better understanding of properties of the Weil differential. The result of this thesis are other two algorithms calculating local components of Weil differentials. The algorithms employ the residue. 1
Completion of a city block Urban development study of a city block between the streets Koliště, Cejl a Vlhká
Zámečníková, Barbora ; Foretník, Jan (referee) ; Františák, Luboš (advisor)
An elaborate territory spanning the streets of Koliště, Cejl and Vlhká is situated near the historical core of the city. The character of the neighborhood lies in the historical events of the 19th century - the disturbance of the walls and the formation of a circular class. Eight objects are designed in the designed area - 2 on the street Vlhká and 6 on the street Koliště. The effort of the project was ended with a block of the city, following the surrounding construction with mutual respect. The exterior of the objects is designed with a classic fine white color. The proposal also includes the urban area transfer to the City Directorate of the City of Brno, as well as the relocation of the Vlhká Street space to create a fully-fledged area of the square. On both streets - Koliště and Vlhká are newly-built long-standing parking places enriched by the linear planting of trees to bring greenery in the area and its surroundings. The overall concept is designed to make its functionality and disposition effective, as well as an effort to react to the surrounding environment. Designed objects completing the city block are polyfunctional objects with a vertical division functions. Part of the design is also the connection of the streets Koliště and Vlhká for the pedestrians through the passage through the inter-building between the buildings. The main idea of creating the interior is in contrast to the busy street Koliště. The proposal proposes the completion of blocks as a unification of the whole territory.

Bušová, Kateřina ; Lukačovič, Adam (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the urban development study of the completion of the city block and the of two selected town houses in different positions. One is situated in the Koliště street, the other in the Vlhká street. The subject of the proposal is the search for the building program and layout of the individual floors, the design of the parterre of the house and the inner courtyard.
NEW ON THE „OLD“ – Brno, Bratislavská - Stará Corner
Kůs, Martin ; Gale, Roman (referee) ; Mléčka, Jan (advisor)
The main issue of the place is a future. The design close corner of Bratislavska street and Old street, where historically always been the building. Closing the street line and the completion of the streets. The object smoothly recede in the street in Bratislava backwards. It creates a small, but very important public area. Fee of the real street is very essential for the further development of the area. The design responds to the local environment. Most of the courtyards is dysfunctional in terms of human and aesthetic. The design creates a separate world - paradise - inside the block.
"Centrum" Department Store in Brno
Horká, Lenka ; Keith, Petr (referee) ; Vojtová, Lea (advisor)
The Thesis solves reconstruction and completion of the building of „CENTRUM“ Department Store in Brno. It is an unfinished skyscraper designed by Vladimír Karfík. The Thesis gives a proposal of the reconstruction of the building, extensions and annexes, new functional use (areas for sale and for rent, restaurant and hotel) and proposal for the peripheral jacketing solution. There was an aim to generate such a design, which would refer to the original building from thirtieth of the 20th century, which would follow up with the idea of a skyscraper located in the centre of Brno and whose functional utilization would suit to the current needs.
Inventure of the City Center ? Brno – Veveří – Žerotínovo náměstí
Holá, Martina ; Chládek, Pavel (referee) ; Hybská, Bohumila (advisor)
The main subject of the thesis is a revision of current area framing northwest part of Žerotín Square, that nowadays consists of so called White house (center for children health care and a seat of a medical school). The design is based on theoretical situation concerning the removal of White house and therefore it uses the newly existing place as a subject for new architectural solution. The solution emphasizes the completion of current block of buildings with large courtyard and corner between Žerotín Square and Veveří street, which is very important for traffic. The thesis is focusing on finding the right form, scale and functional content which would reflect the importance of the location, especially focusing on the Brno’s ring road that goes directly to Denisovy sady and accessibility of this city’s part. It also respects the design of the back side of the Red Church. The design uses the newly existing place as a location for new apartment building that reflects the scale of similar buildings in Marešov and other nearby streets and it also proposes administration building as an architectural solution for this location, which would be used as a seat for both municipal and national institutions.
Optimization of the Colutron Ion Source
Horký, Michal ; Mach, Jindřich (referee) ; Voborný, Stanislav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis concerns with design and assembly of Colutron ion source which produces beam of nitrogen ions with energy from tens to thousand eV. Production of ions and the principle of Colutron ion source is described in the first part. The second part of the thesis is related to the modification and assembly of commercial Colutron ion source. Finally the parameters of the ion beam have been measured for different extraction electrodes and operating parameters in testing apparatus.
Guesthouse Repechy - renewal and extension of farmhouse
Mokrý, Stanislav ; Janok, Jakub (referee) ; Sátora, Josef (advisor) ; Matějka, Libor (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor thesis is the reconstruction of a neglected farm in a small village Repechy at Drahany Highlands. The original layout was traditional square with an inner courtyard. Later the building was completely rebuilt inappropriately (demolition of interior walls, roofing over the courtyard) and used for breeding cattle. The investor intend to reconstruct and extend the building so it can be used as a guesthouse providing additional features – a restaurant, a gym and an indoor pool with whirlpool, which are accessible to accommodated and external visitors. Estimated capacity is approximately 50 beds and the same number of seats in the restaurant. Due to the poor state of the majority of structures, only a small part of the original building is preserved, namely the northeast wing which was originally used as a residential area. The original walls and beamed ceilings are complemented by a new reinforced concrete shear ring and a new ceiling slab (for comparison height levels of floors in the 2nd floor and probably insufficient bearing capacity of the original ceiling). New parts of the building are built using the NOVATOP construction system of prefabricated panels made of solid wood. Under this system are resolved both outer and interior walls, ceilings and roof. Roof covering is made of fibre-cement roof tiles. Insulation is made mostly of wood-fibre boards by STEICO. The design of exterior of the building is using two colors - pure white plaster uniting old and new parts and platinum gray highlighting selected elements (cornices, window and door jambs).
Mechanizmy upravy kupnej ceny
Gajdošech, Martin ; Smrčka, Luboš (advisor) ; Strouhal, Jiří (referee)
My diploma thesis focuses on the M&A transaction closing mechanisms. Their function is to reflect the value changes of the target company into the purchase price. Value change occurs during the time lag between the date of the financial statements and the date of the transaction closing. Throughout history, there have been two major approaches developed. The "Completion Accounts Mechanism" uses post-completion price adjustments to reflect the change of the net working capital and net debt during the interim period. The "Locked Box Mechanism", using fixed price, assures non-fluctuation of target value in the interim period by imposing strict restrictions on the seller's activities. In this research, I have analyzed 44 transactions closed in the Czech Republic. I have challenged the theoretical foundations and described the application of the mechanisms in practice. At the end, I have compared the Czech and European practices. Thesis findings: 1. All the theoretical features of the mechanisms were proven by an analyzed sample of closed transactions. The completion accounts mechanism is buyer-friendly, while the locked box is a seller-friendly mechanism. 2. The main driver in mechanism selection is bargaining power. Buyers were in a better negotiating position in 69% of the completion account transactions. On the contrary, the sellers had bargaining power in 100% of the locked box transactions. 3. The Czech Republic is an environment where buyers (big multinational companies) dominate. They have preferred the completion account mechanism that provides them with higher protection from value leakage or other risks associated with small CEE economies. A total of 91% of analyzed transactions were executed by the completion account mechanism in the Czech Republic between 2011 and 2012.
