Chronicle of the grammar school Krásnohorská 1947-1952

The bachelor thesis focuses on an edition of school chronicle, written at "Krásnohorská" grammar school for girls in 1947-1952, including its commentary. Said chronicle is deposited in Prague City Archives, as is the oldest chronicle of this school, which was written in 1890-1936. Its edition was made by PhDr. Milada Sekyrková, CSc. in 2016. This thesis follows this previous edition, so it could complete a whole. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part is focuses on the development of education from the school reform of Maria Theresa to 1954. Then there is a description of advancement of the grammar schools on our territory, which is followed by development of the process of effort to develop education of girls in 19th century. The main purpose of this part then represents an essay about Minerva society and the history of "Krásnohorská" grammar school for girls. The second part focuses on the development of school chronicles since their beginnings till present day. It is followed by previously mentioned edition, which include a commentary, an index of names and a table of abbreviations.

(in English): The political and social circumstances of the Koryŏ period gave rise to the phenomenon of the so called rebels. The official chronicle Koryŏsa recorded their cases in thirty-eight biographies that were supposed to serve as a warning for the posterity. What models of rebels and sorts of revolts did exist according to the chronicle and what conditions did enable their occurrence?

History of elementary education in selected areas (school project)

This diploma thesis is focused on the origin and history of elementary education system in the area Prague- west. The work is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practic. The theoretical part chronologically introduces the history of the schools since their inception ( complete dissolution ), to the present. The history of a particular schools in this area is the material source used to formulate the project for for students of different schools as the general public. The main aim of this project is to familiarize pupils with the history of their school and to strengthen the students' relationship to the school. The project will be realized in the school year 2014/2015. All proposed activities and expected outcomes are formulated according to the Framework Educational Programme.
The image of Saint Wenceslas in the chronicles of old Czech literature

The aim of the bacheloral thesis is to describe the image of St. Wenceslas in the selected chronicles of older Czech literature. The primary texts that will serve as the basis of the bacheloral thesis will be especially Kristiánova legenda, Kronika Čechů written by Kosmas, Kronika tak řečeného Dalimila, Kronika česká by Přibík Pulkava z Radenína, a document called O státě českém by Pavel Stránský ze Zapské Stránky, Kronika česká by Václav Hájek z Libočan, Diadochus by Bartoloměj Paprocký z Hlohol a Paprocké Vůle, Poselkyně starých příběhů českých by Jan František Beckovský and an anonymous document called Země dobrá, to jest země česká. This bacheloral thesis will focus on the character of our Czech patron in the light of the description of his personality, life, method of his government, relationship between him and other members of his family and other aspects. These motives will be examined within the primary texts and then compared.
World from the point of view of the citizen in Early Modern Age

This diploma thesis covers the individual citizens' perception of suburban events in order to discuss the point of view of the early modern Czech citizen and their ability to gain information of the world around through the analysis of such suburban events that were registered in the chosen chronicles, originating between the years 1575-1600, a period that is considered "a golden age of the Czech cities". First, the background of the chroniclers is outlined, because it might have influenced the choice of events they decided to include in their works, i.e. the position of the concrete city, the level of education in the said period or the author's personal life. Second, the general knowledge of the authors is described in the thesis through the means of analysis of the type of recorded information (e.g. Turkish wars, the deaths of famous persons, wildfires, councils and the like). In other words, the thesis is to point out what type of information was considered to be the most interesting or extraordinary to the wider public, and which circles were usually covered by the chroniclers.
