Tourism potential analysis of the Sokolov region

The aim of this work is to create a profound analysis of tourism potential of Sokolov region located in Western Bohemia, the region with long industrial history. There are described location and realization factors of tourism in this region with concrete examples, the current offer of tourism services is mentioned, new projects are brought to the attention and the success of the older ones is reviewed. The following part of this work is devoted to an introduction into theory of destination marketing and management with specification of its participants. The final part deals with investigation among local people, visitors and travel agencies which analysed their opinion of tourism potential of this destination. The main goal of this work is to show that in the future Sokolov region is supposed to be a very nice place to visit and spend some time on holiday.
The analysis of an offer of tours to the United States of America on the current market in Czech republic

The mail goal of this diploma paper is to make analysis focused on the products directed to the United States of America offered by travel agencies on the local market.Author aims to realize the current development of demand of Czech travellers for trips and tours organized to the United States of America, especially in reference to recent legislative changes made by the government of the United States of America.The analysis results from detailed characteristics of the destination and trends of Czechs outgoing tourism to the US. There is a confrontantion based on the present findings, offer of the travel agencies is compared to the potentials of the market.

In the next years is expected the improvement of the business conditions in fly industry. There is also an expectation of the improvement of consumer environment and further development of this sector.

Implementation of Business Intelligence

This diploma thesis deals with the implementation of Business Intelligence solution in a travel industry company and its interconnection to Balanced Scorecard as one of the enterprise performance management tool. First part focuses on pointing out the main theoretical foundations of Balanced Scorecard and Business Intelligence. It describes Balanced Scorecard and its principles and it also defines Business Intelligence, the architecture of BI and the implementation process generally. In the second part the particular metrics model is generated and a few specific metrics from this model are implemented in the Business Intelligence pilot project.

This thesis is focused on the variability of the demand and the development of new trends in the fields of the tourism industry. Special attention is devoted to a new arising trend of the Dark Tourism. This trend has appeared in the end of the 20th century and it has gained the attraction of media, tourists, tourism specialists and other stakeholders. First part of the thesis is concerned with the variety of the tourism industry and the ethic question of the tourism development. The other part contains the Dark Tourism definition and the prevailing motivation for taking part in this tourism trend. Then the thesis is concerned with the Czech Republic, it's conditions and destinations for developing the Dark Tourism. Last part is devoted to research among common tourists and their attitude to the Dark Tourism.
