Comparison of the hockey reporter's routine in the broadcasting of Czech professional hockey league in seasons 1993/94 and 2018/19

This bachelor thesis will be analysing the routine of hockey sports reporters from Czech television (Česká televize) in the broadcasting of the Czech professional hockey league in seasons 1993/94 and 2018/19. The theoretical part focuses on the history of sports broadcasting and hockey broadcasting on Czechoslovak and Czech television screens. Additionally, another focus of the theoretical part is the work and practice of sports reporters. The practical part analyses three hockey games selected from different seasons of the Czech professional hockey league using semiotic analysis and in-depth semi-structured interviews. The work aims to capture the change in the practice of reporters at hockey games in the selected time period and recognize the change in the process of preparation for their work in the broadcasting of hockey games.

Podcasts production and consumption in the Czech Republic with a focus on marketing and business

This diploma thesis is devoted to the phenomenon of podcasting and its definition within the new media. It introduces the term in the context of its history and its current situation on foreign markets, ie the cradle of its origin. It also defines it in detail in terms of its characteristic features, form, content, and in terms of its consumption and creation. It also defines it in the context of other media types such as radio, online video and audiobooks. Attention is also paid to the possibilities of its monetization. The phenomenon is anchored in the context of new media concepts such as produsage, participatory culture and long-tail. Last, but not least, several chapters are devoted to the development of the medium and its current state in the Czech Republic. A significant part of the thesis offers and insight into the patterns of media usage by Czech listeners, as well as an insight into the current podcasting scene through the eyes of podcast creators with a focus on marketing and business. Based on quantitative survey among the listeners, the characteristics of media usage, its socio-cultural aspects, motivations to listen, opinions on the diversity of Czech offerings and the perception of advertising in podcasts were further explored. Television in the lives of contemporary children and teenagers

Today's children and teen-agers were born and grew up in the world where the digital media are standard part of. They represent a generation called "digital natives". So-called old media, as for example television backs away to the background, but at the same time tries to keep up with the time. Television was just recently the most popular and the most watched media. But today, its influence and activity according to some researches, gives space to the new technologies. Now the young generation is the one, for whom is television in its original form the old medium. In past, row of scientists were concerned about television influence on children and teen-agers. Today, television is partially regulated by law, relating to content and the way of broadcasting. Especially then Czech television, as a public institution is also directly involved in production for children and teen-agers. This diploma thesis The Specifics of Internet Broadcasting in the Czech Republic with Focus on the Viewers' Comments on the Show Jak nás vidí svět (Stream.cz) deals with the typical features of online television broadcasting in the Czech Republic and their comparison to the typical features of traditional television broadcasting. In the practical part, the thesis focuses on the viewers' comments on the show Jak nás vidí svět. The main aim of the thesis is to describe the current position of internet television broadcasting in the Czech Republic with its specifics and its differences compared to traditional broadcasting, focusing on the show Jak nás vidí svět (Stream.cz), specifically on the viewers' comments on the show. First, traditional and internet broadcasting are defined and their specifics are analyzed in detail, which are then compared in a separate chapter. Authorisation to radio and television broadcasting Abstract This thesis entitled Authorisation to radio and television broadcasting deals with issue of regulation of access to medial market in the Czech Republic. This thesis is based on analyse of legislation and case law of administrative courts. Main source of broadcasting regulation is Radio and Television Broadcasting Act no. 231/2001. There are two administrative acts authorises to broadcasting and rebroadcasting. Administrative act called licence authorises to broadcasting while registration authorises to rebroadcasting. Both licences and registrations are granted by Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting. This thesis primarily deals with granting, changes and termination of this administrative acts. This thesis is divided into ten parts. Part One deals with reasons of regulation of radio and television broadcasting by state. Broadcasting is primarily regulated because of limited resources and protection of public interests and some social wide values. Part Two briefly describes legislation related to broadcasting and its evolution after 1990. Bachelor thesis "The Beginning, Transformation and the Present of Radio Junior" describes in detail new, independent radio station of the Czech Radion for children. First chapter is focused on the historical and legal background of broadcasting for children. Second chapter aims at the history of the radio broadcasting for children. Third chapter maps the start and evolution of Radio Junior, icluding the description of broadcasted programs, its activities and the further direction of evolution as well as characterises selected agendas.

The end of Wetten dass...? The dialogic analysis of an entertainment show

This master's thesis presents the dialogical analysis of the German TV show 'Wetten, dass...?'.The main target is to analyse the internal as well as the external dialogical structure of two Wetten, dass...? shows. The internal structure is based on the dialogue between the showmaster and his guests. On the other hand, the external one is based on the dialogue between the showmaster and the audience. The purpose of this master's thesis is to show how each showmaster is trying to interact two groups of people as well as to analyse if there is a difference between both of them. The theoretical part of this thesis defines the term 'TV entertainment' and describes different types of dialogues. It is also focused on the show Wetten, dass...?, on its concept, each showmaster, audience raking, criticism and other competition. The practical part describes two chosen Wetten, dass...? shows in terms of their dialogicity. The main point is the showmaster, who is trying to act dialogically in relation to his quests and audience.
