Title: Influence of compensation program on body posture of the seniors. Objectives: The aim of this work is to assess the effectiveness of a two-month compensation program for posture in probands in senior age. The program consists of exercises according to Janda's method of sensomotoric stimulation, breathing exercises and foot massage. Methods: It is a qualitative research of an empirical nature. The study takes the form of a quasi- experiment. Selection of the test group was intentional according to the purpose technique. Participants were selected according to a predeterminated characteristic. Four women aged 83 to 87 years participated in the research. The empirical data of measured probands were collected by using the Klein, Thomas and Mayer View method, Crampton's tests, Thomayer distance, plantogram and photographic documentation. Results: After a two-month compensation program, differences in posture were noted in using the Klein, Thomas and Mayer method. Crampton tests showed improvement in one of the participants and Thomayer distance showed an improvement in spinal movement of two probands out of two measured. According to plantograms, the improvement of the longitudinal arch was demonstrated in three participants and the position of the fingers improved in all participants. Keywords:...
The influence of sports aerobics on posture and muscle balance
Papežová, Veronika ; Prajerová, Květa (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
Title: The influence of sports aerobics on posture and muscle balance Aim: The aim of the thesis is to find out how aerobic gymnastics (sport aerobics) at the top level affects selected groups of muscles and posture of girls with more than 10 years of competing experience. The thesis compares the results of a group practicing aerobics with the results of a group of girls of the same age category, who engage in physical activities only during school physical education lessons. Characteristics: The diploma thesis deals with the effect of aerobic gymnastics on good posture. The basis for this thesis was obtained by testing selected shortened and weakend muscle groups. Two groups of girls were compared. The first group consisted of girls representing the Czech Republic at international championships and practicing aerobic gymnastics at the highest level for more than ten years. On the other hand, the second group consisted of subjects, who were engaged in physical activities only in physical education lessons in school. Methods: In the thesis there was used a qualitative research and delibarate selection of subjects. Selected tests evaluated posture according to Matthias according to Haladová, Nechvátalová (1997), with the help of lowered plumb line according to Kopecký (2010) and test exercises for...
The influence of sport aerobics on the posture
Papežová, Veronika ; Prajerová, Květa (advisor) ; Nováková, Pavlína (referee)
The thesis deals with the effect of sports aerobics on correct body posture. Two groups of probands will be compared based on testing. One group has been actively practicing sports aerobics for several years. On the other hand, the second group will include girls who do reacreational sports only. The first group consists of girls representing the Czech Republic at international competitions and practicing sports aerobics in the 1st performance class. The second group of probands consists of students of the 3rd year of the Secondary Vocational School, Sedlčany, Petra Bezruče 364. The thesis will focus on the comparison of the effect of sports aerobics on body posture. In addition, compensatory exercises will be designed to help to eliminate muscle imbalance. The thesis will introduce common exercise aids, which can affect the correct body posture and which can be used in exercises not only for sports aerobics training, but also within the classes of school physical education.
Changing of children body posture before entering elementary school
Holečková, Jana ; Dvořáková, Hana (advisor) ; Jahodová, Gabriela (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of the posture of pre-school children. The aim was to found out the posture of two age similar groups of pre-school children at the beginning and at the end of the final year before entering the primary school and to verify if there are some changes in posture at this time period. I used two tests to assess the posture, perspective method Klein, Thomas and Mayer in combination with the build evaluation according to Jaros and Lomicek. I was gaining the research data also by the observation method of common day running in two pre-school institutions and by the method of half-structured interview with class teachers ofthese institutions. Research file formed two age similar groups of pre-school children, specifically children from the last year of a kindergarden and children from preliminary classes. The result of the research is the finding out that in the last year, before entering the primary school, come about negative changes at posture of the pre-school children and that points to the fact that even pre-school age is high risk from posture point of view. In physical intervention which took 8 weeks were found positives results by: observation postural assessment by Klein, Thomas and Mayer 6 of 8 tested persons, in Cramptons tests only 1 of 6 positives results and in Matthias test were found 5 of 6 positive changes. In the end we could confirmed effect of therapeutic physical education on body posture. Mainly on Upper Crossed Syndrome in group of seniors by 8 weeks of intervention. Key...
The influence of posture on grip strength in patients with spinal cord injury
Krátká, Monika ; Hlinková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kříž, Jiří (referee)
This master's thesis deal with the ability to maintain trunk stability in paraplegic patients in the relation to the functional skills of upper extremity. Its aim is to determine the extent to which posture influences grip strength in these persons. It consists of two parts. The first part includes introduction of the spinal cord injury and findings of the mechanisms and functional significance of the torso in relation to posture and everyday activities. Further, it presents the possibilities of utilization and different ways of measurement of grip strength in clinical practice. In the second part, the results of the measurement of grip strength in paraplegic persons in three different positions - lying on the back and in two different sitting positions - are analyzed. The measurements were undertaken using a dynamometer. It was measured twice, always after one week period. All patients attend the standard therapy provided by the Spinal Unit in the University Hospital in Motol, where they have been also hospitalized in that time. The results refer to certain dependency of gripstrength of upper extremity to posture in paraplegic persons. This was proved within the comparison of values from sitting position with back support and without back support. In the first named position were reached higher...

Sládková, Kateřina ; Pokorný, Ladislav (advisor) ; Kašpar, Ladislav (referee)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to prove, that compensatory exercise affects positively locomotor system of SK Benešov U16 football players. Theoretical part of this theses analyses all existing sources and literature from the field of compensatory exercises, muscle imbalance and body posture. Main research-method used in this thesis is an experiment. I choosed football players from the younger adolescents footballers category U16 and U17 of the team SK Benešov. Football players from group U16 are the experimental group, while the others from U17 are the controlling group. To test the locomotor system I have chosen testing methods for unstreched and weakened muscles invented by Janda, Kabelíková and Vávrová. To test the body posture I used Matthias's test. Suitable compensatory programme was created for the players, with regard to entrance testing, which they had to apply for six months. In the middle of the testing period a control testing was conducted, to help to evaluate the correctness of the chosen exercises. After the evaluation of the final testing a conclusion was drawn, that the compensatory exercises do have a positive impact on locomotive system and body posture of football players U16. Title Ways to influence amateur s athletes postural stability Objectives The aim of this study is to describe the selected parameters of body composition and postural stability of the amateur s athletes (floorball players) group and to assess the efficiency of short-term intervention exercise based on senzomotor stimulation, acral coactivation therapy and plyometrics. Methods This work is a descriptive work, one part of it is the intervention. Two groups of amateur s athletes (floorball players) were examined during the study - intervention group(n = 16, average height = 178,23 cm (std 7,18), average weight = 80,04 (std 11,53), average age = 25,15 years (std3,31 )) and control group(n = 8, ave- rage height = 181,48 cm (std 5,59), average weight = 82,29 kg (std 11,20), average age = 27,07 let (2,68)). Each participant underwent the entrance measurement both on Footscan to evaluate the level of postural stability by selected parameters and on InBody 3.0 a Tanita to evaluate the level of body composition by selected parame- ters. Then the intervention group took part in the intervention exercise. After the six week intervention period underwent both groups the second measurement. The results of both measurements were evaluated, compared and statistically analyzed. Results The results showed great...
