Best Practices of strategic communication of czech companies with focus on websites and brand communication

This thesis deals with strategic communication of czech companies and their brands on websites and with formulation of best practices for this field of strategic communication. In the Czech Republic, there is a lack of research covering this issue as well as best practices principles for communication of companies on the web. This thesis aims to: create an aggregate of theoretical knowledge about the selected topic of strategic communication; describe how czech companies communicate of their websites; and form best practices for strategic communication of companies and brands on websites. The theoretical section is focused on defining and describing key concepts and creating a base of knowledge for the research. In the methodological section the research questions are set and research methods are characterized - content analysis and interviews with experts in the field. A Model of Thematic Spheres was created for the quantitative content analysis. The hypothesis anticipates that an overall majority of selected companies does not communicate it's goals, visions or missions on websites. In the theoretical part, the most important concepts from the field of project management are defined. The analytical part deals with the introduction of the company and the evaluation of the current state of project management in the company. Finally, suggestions are made to improve project management.
Benchmarking tool for measuring business competitiveness

Benchmarking is a process of identifying, learning and improving based on the excellent practice that a company wants to approach. The work deals with a comparison of three companies whose business is related to hydraulic activities and sales of hydraulic components. The aim is to determine the performance of each of the companies and identify best practices so that other companies can identify the weaknesses of their management by comparison. Financial analysis as well as comparative mathematical and statistical methods are used to achieve this goal. Within the financial analysis, ratio indicators are determined, which also serve as evaluation criteria. These values are compared between companies using performance, external benchmarking and its methods. Based on the information obtained, some measures are proposed to the compared companies to improve their results towards the leading company.
Best practices of career guidance in lower secondary schools

This diploma thesis focuses on career guidance in primary and mainly lower secondary schools. The goal of the thesis is to identify and describe the best practices of career guidance from the perspective of a lower secondary school career or educational counsellor, and also from the perspective of the education system. The theoretical part fulfills this goal by describing inspirational approaches to career guidance in selected European countries (Finland, England and France). Using in-depth semi-structured interviews, the research part examines and describes the work of six career guidance facilitators at four lower secondary schools and one upper secondary school, which were purposefully selected as possible examples of best practice. The outcome of the thesis is a detailed insight into the attitudes and approaches to career guidance of the selected respondents, description of 36 unique career guidance activities, and a set of both systemic and specific recommendations for improving the state of career guidance in lower secondary schools. Although the work is focused on lower secondary schools, its outputs are also applicable to upper secondary schools.

Technical Assistance of Change Management Support

The project inspects and discusses improvements of the technical assistance of Change Management support within IT service provider. The primary objective of the procet is to analyse and implement a new software tool to display possible improvements. This project involves whole software development proces including requirements collection, systém analysis, design, implementation. In the first part, the IT service management, especially Change Management area and ITIL methodology is described. In the second part, the analysis of current state of the proces implementation and software tool is discussed and proposed opportunities for improvement. In the end, the results are summarized and possibilities of the future improvements are proposed.
Application of agile methodologies Best Practices into PRINCE 2

This thesis is focused on Best Practices of agile methodologies, their application to the most common problems of project management and their integration into PRINCE2. The thesis will be focused mainly on the application of individual agile practices, not on the whole methodologies. This thesis will be divided into two main parts. In the first part PRINCE2 methodology basics, chosen agile methodology practices and Best Practices itself will be introduced. In the second part the most common problems of project management will be defined. Then every Best Practice will be applied to the defined problems and various aspects of PRINCE2. In the end the most usable Best Practices based on the results of research will be evaluated.
