Acceptance of visual impairment in the productive age

The bachelor thesis consists of a theoretical and a research part. It deals with the acceptance of visual impairment in the working age, specifically looking at acquired visual impairment. The theoretical part defines congenital and acquired visual impairment, then includes the most common causes of visual impairment, its consequences and the associated psychological changes, then describes the possibilities of successful acceptance in the form of a foreign study, and finally deals with the possibilities of social rehabilitation and its forms. The aim of the research is to describe how people reflect on their process of acceptance of sight loss and what areas have influenced this acceptance and what the differences are between male and female experiences in relation to their personality traits. Using qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews with three respondents, it became clear that the most significant change for respondents was a change in mindset and motivation to cope with the crisis situation. Furthermore, monitoring one's own progress towards self-sufficiency and the support of those around them proved to have a great influence on the acceptance process. Bachelor thesis is manipulated in theoretical-empirical plain. Work treats about problems of persons who came by their eyesight during their lifetime. Theoretical part is divided to three head chapters. First chapter characterizes productive age and its subchapters describe acceptation and non-acceptation of eyesight disorders and personality of a sightless. Second chapter is oriented into eyesight disorders and visual defects. Third chapter provides look at various barriers with employing of people with eyesight disorder in productive age. Empirical part of this work is described in fourth chapter and is based on interpretation and analysis of interview with visually impaired person. The main aim of interview was to determine how visually impaired person can countervail with eyesight disorder at adulthood. Work is filled up by used literature and additions.

The bachelor thesis on acceptance of visual impairment in the productive age with an emphasis on resilient source is based on the analysis of two existing studies, which dedicate to topics not so well known among academicals, which are resilience and trustfulness of visual disabled people. The theoretical part deals with the psychosocial impacts of the loss of vision at various stages of human life, it deals with the most frequent causes of visual impairment and phases, through the person with disabilities passes, and with a resilience which is not yet sufficiently described in the Czech literature. In the research section, there are two studies dealing with the topic of psychological resilience and trust. The aim of the thesis is to analyse and interpret the questionnaires to find resilient resources and to demonstrate the use of these scales and similar them in the studies mentioned above. Social Work with Visually Impaired Clients

The thesis is focussed on social work with visually impaired clients. The theoretical part deals with eyesight, anatomy, physiology of the eye and various visual defects; further, on personality of handicapped individuals, quality of their lives, provided social assistance, methods of typhlo- rehabilitation and appropriate utensils. The application section searches by means of qualitative research, namely semi-structured interview and observation, complex functioning of an asylum for the handicapped - Home for Visually Impaired Clients PALATA, Prague. The dissertation presents, according to the findings, personalities of the interviewed, their subjective difficulties, the way they cope with the obstacles, their level of contentment, and considers bounds of assistance possibilities from the social background. The objective of the thesis is to describe options of social work with visually impaired clients. To present their personalities and difficulties they deal with due to their handicap. I chose as the topic of my thesis the issue of contracts which are concluded between parties in the IT field. The aim of this thesis is mainly in the assessment of current legislation of institutes, which are widely used in the field of IT contracts conclusion. This thesis has to answer the question which institutes are crucial from the perspective of the contractor, which from the perspective of the customer. This thesis has to mention also regular requirements of contract in the field of IT. Regarding the structure of this thesis, which is divided into several chapters, the first chapters of this thesis (along with the final chapter) inform readers about the issues that are important for understanding other issues. These chapters should be taken only as a necessary introduction on topics that I consider essential, the themes of which are key or crucial part of this work. The crucial topic of this work is according to my opinion all-embracing summary of IT contract issue. Educational Simulation in Task Situations (A survey focusing on the aspects of acceptance, interactivity, and authenticity)

The dissertation 'Educational Simulation in Task Situations' is focused on a new medium - educational simulation, which is starting to establish itself in the field of education. This work is examining educational simulations from three different points of view: 1) the acceptance of educational simulations in the school environment, 2) the interactivity of learning material, and 3) the authenticity of learning material. The experimental results are divided into three separate chapters according to the respective viewpoint. The investigation focused on acceptance in the first chapter draws from the evaluation of 34 Czech teachers and more than 1000 students, who both evaluated the benefits and shortcomings of particular educational simulations that were used by the teachers and their students. The experiment on interactivity (N = 152) in the second chapter is focused on the experimental comparison of learning material with activated interactive features and learning material with deactivated features. The third experiment on authenticity (N = 48) compares teaching material using authentic media sequences and the same material converted into an animated form. The theoretical part describes the history of payment cards, their types, variability of their use and supporting services and defines the relationship among holders of payment cards, banks and retailers. The practical part is focused on the research motives for using payment cards by their holders and the retailers.
