Games and Toys as Chemistry Teaching Aids

The thesis is devoted to the study of one of the methods of activation - the game. During the game, the students are involved actively, they are motivated and creative. The main aim is to explore the advantages of the introduction of gaming activities in the teaching of chemistry, as well as the overall topic of gaming activities, the conditions for these activities in chemistry teaching and suggestions for their implementation in education. The part of the thesis is complex of 11 precific games and toys, which are prepared for teaching chemistry at the primary and high schools and universities uncommonly. This file contains the rules, methodological instructions, time allocation, and everything needed for the teaching of games. The practical part will also find a list of many previously published and unpublished games and toys, which can serve as inspiration for teachers of chemistry. Making an inquiry carried out in two elementary schools to confirm the presumption that the study results achieved through gaming activities, are more satisfactory than the results, in which gaming activities were not used.
Superlearning

This specialized thesis is dedicated to the subject of superlearning. Its main objectives are clearly organized and meaningful completion of the present knowing of the given question and mediation of information about use of superlearning in language teaching in The Czech Republic. The thesis is composed of four main chapters. Superlearning is very often ranked among the didactic methods. The first chapter is dedicated to them. But superlearning is the special didactic system, it is said and explained in the second chapter. Its parts are also clarifying of relation with suggestopaedia and description of their common principles. The penultimate chapter is composed of three parts - the first one belongs to the phases of the group tuition of superlearning, the second one to superlearning as a way of self education and the third one to the method of language teaching called DME, which exploits the effective tenets of superlearning. Conception of key competencies by teachers and a question of its application into teaching

My thesis explores the pedagogical issue of key competencies, it especially focuses on learning competency, its development, teacher's concept of the competency and its application into learning at a secondary school. The theoretical part introduces main terms and concepts and the characteristics of educational process, which influence development of competencies. The research part is a qualitative research. The data have been collected through observations in class and semi-structured interviews. The interviews were held with teachers of the secondary schools, which were observed afterwards. Within these lessons was filled in a special observation form which evaluates through specific categories how effectively is learning competency being developed.
Games and Game Activities in Teaching French Language

This thesis deals with method of activation of didactic games and its application into the teaching process. It's focused on the theoretical description and also on the practical use in the teaching of the French language. This method is introduced as one of the ways how to practice language in funny form, but also to gain new knowledge and language skills. We will describe its major aspects and also its place in the curriculum documents as well. We will emphasize its benefits, but also the possible difficulties in its application into the teaching of foreign language. We will mention the process of the game and the atmosphere appropriate to it's use too. In the practical part we will focus on the activities which are suitable for level A0 to A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The Implementation of Reading Workshop at the Primary School

This thesis deals with the inclusion of the reading workshop methods in the primary schools and its application to the lessons of the Czech language and literature. The main aim of the theoretical part is to define key concepts connected with the topic. It describes the definitions of the reading workshop, the reading literacy and the description of "The formal notice no. 56", which has been focused on the support of the development of reading in the Czech schools. In this part the particular educational methods, which are focused on the development of reading, and the Czech and international researches are characterized. The practical part of the thesis, using the qualitative surveys, appraises the preparation and the realization of the project "The formal notice no. 56" at the particular primary school. There were realized the interviews with the educators and the head master. The assets and negative features of the reading workshop were followed by those dialogues. According to the direct observation of the methods during the lessons of the Czech language and literature, there were recorded the reactions of pupils to the reading and working with a text. In the practical part there are also the characteristics of the materials which were created under the project in the school. The purpose of these researches is to find out how the teachers as well as the schoolchildren react to the method and if it brought to the classes any new elements and if it could be still the part of education in the future.
Water regime of plants as a learning topic in inquiry-based education at grammar school

The aim of the diploma thesis was to create educational presentation for grammar school students according to the inquiry-based education principles and used in the classroom for teaching the thematic unit Water regime of plants, its application in teaching process and inclusion of inquiry-based education into plant physiology lessons at grammar school. A comparative survey which included 90 students was carried out in three first grade parallel classes. The level of students´knowledge was compared on a basis of the achievement test some students attended lessons including educational presentation completed with a worksheet, other students attended lessons providing the same topic in a way of frontal teaching and without the presentation. The goal of this research was to find out if inquiry-based education affects the level of acquired knowledge and if it leads to its permanent preservation. The results were statistically evaluated and clearly classified into tables and graphs.
Wetland ecosystem as a teaching model to the knowledge of the carbon cycle

This bachelor thesis consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part explores a definition of wetlands system, its functions and its place in carbon circulation. Additionally, I describe a didactic game, which can be used as a method for teaching biology and ecology at high school level. The practical part includes specific didactic games, which can be employed in teaching. The games are framed according to the rules of research-oriented teaching.
The Museum: A Meeting Point for Formal and Informal Curriculum

This thesis deals with the linking of school education with museum educational activities. It focuses primarily on the possibility of primary schools. It assesses how the museum can be used in the implementation of educational activities. He draws attention to specific forms of educational activities at the museum. In Detail, it is focused on defining the various teaching methods that can be prioritized in museum education. The thesis describes the role of museum education program, which is applicable in the project classes at school. The entire work points out apparent effort to integrate extracurricular learning opportunities taking place in the museum with school hours. Museum learning is seen as complementary and expanding the classroom. Yet he constantly emphasizes the uniqueness of the museum. Museum with a different environment from the school can offer a remarkable experience associated with teaching.
Activating Methods in Education and Their Influence on the Climate of the Class

The thesis ``Activising methods in education and their influence on the climate in class{\crqq} is based on activising methods and their influence on the climate in class. The purpose of this work is measuring the climate on class, using of activising methods and then a consequent measuring of the climate in class. The results have been compared, the hypothesis analyzed and so found the influence on the climate in class. In the theoretical part are explained the basic terms connected with the subject (education method, activising education methods, environment, atmosphere, climate in class). Then is the problematic of researching the climate characterized, other methods of observation etc. The practical part offers a review of methods of investigating the climate, subscription of some chosen methods and the process of the research. The obtained entries are utilized, analyzed and enlisted in charts and graphs, which provide better evaluation of the whole climate in class and the particular parameters of the climate in class (concern of the student for school work, relationships between the schoolmates, teacher{\crq}s help to the students, orientation of the students on homework, arrangement and organization, clearness of the rules). The object of exploration have been especially the finding and comparing of the whole climate in class before and after using of the activising methods in education.
Tree: its landscape function and importance for human beings (A theme for teaching at primary schools)

This thesis deals with a creating educational programmes for interactive boards usable in Science lessons at higher level of primary schools. Programme presentation was made in the seventh form of three primary school, where also a comparative research in the form of didactic test was placed. The aim of this test was to compare a knowledge level of pupils who were taught by the interactive programme, and those pupils who were taught by the traditional form of frontal teaching. The thesis is supplemented by a DVD with educational presentation for interactive boards and a printed manual necessary for the control of the programme.
